  1. some of the *cough* "different tastes" *cough* of speedsofters/ipsc probably werent taken into account when they came up with the vrca. i can only assume as long as the colours and coverage fulfil the criteria it should be fine. the reality is it's unlikely to raise eyebrows if you're being a responsible owner (keeping them out of the eyes of joe public)
  2. the spirit of the vrca is that if some random bloke sees it they wont think it's a real gun because of the bright paint over 51% of the area. certainly doing it properly with primer isn't going to be an issue.
  3. can't comment on the cyma m14 specifically taking a different bucking, i can't see why it would though. my normal reccommendation would be a ml macaron with omega nub especially for lifting the heavies. you can lift .48's at 1j with the green, so at a higher fps you'll probably be ok with the tan.
  4. depends on the round count i'd say, if you've sent a lot of plastic downrange then that wear might not be so bad, if the gun hasn't seen that much use then maybe worth changing. that's the tooth that will get all the abrasive wear, but not seen that much ground away before, but granted i've not worked on anything with a really high round count that didn't have something more serious wrong with it.
  5. afaik as long as the colours match the legal requirements for coverage it's ok [citation needed] i vaguely recall some really nice "2-tone" guns that were painted up like something out of borderlands.
  6. Grumble grumble copv's grumble.... If you've drained a fully topped off 48ci in a single game then its probably time to take a break anyway. Tbh i'd still say a single 48ci with a dive tank to fill from is the solution i'd go for.
  7. or as it's fully known "i'm 12 how do i buy an airsoft gun without ukara?"
  8. For a reasonable build theyre not that bad, i mean even a mighty cyma ak midcap will struggle beyond 50rps Come to think of it i have built some true wanker guns in my time
  9. Currently trying to remember what we managed to get out of me mates hpa'd one but 40 rps isnt far off where the mags start having issues keeping up iirc.
  10. I wouldnt buy it at all, that looks like a stripped piston waiting to happen
  11. Absolute fucking moron, that's the kind of shit that makes me think "maybe ukara aint so bad if it keeps these idiots away" What scares me is thinking how many people probably just did it.
  12. Should really start teching professionally if thats the kind of money folk are dropping on gats to fire .25's at 1j
  13. i'm not an expert on the tippman systems so i stand to be corrected but isn't their co2 setup in the mag that uses a single capsule per mag insertion? i remember a fella showing me the setup and it seemed kind of dumb that removing the mag vents the capsule regardless of how much ammo has been fired. however, for a conventional air line setup i've heard good reports from tippmann owners. as for your questions i'll see what i can do: 1- depends on how trigger heavy you are, i found i could squeeze 12 mid-caps from a 2500psi fill on a 48ci tank, now that was with a polarstar and tippmans recoil system could use more air. 2-cant really comment for the tippmans, as they run full tank pressure rather than the regulated stuff i'm used to. 3- braided lines are a good idea, although i've seen plenty of folk running unbraided without any issues. 4- shouldnt think inverted would be an issue, i just stuffed mine in the back pouch of a smersh at whatever angle it wanted to sit at never had any problems. 5- again tricky as it's a tippmann specific thing, but i can't see their mechanical system being any harder to keep than a gbbr by the sounds of it you might want to think about investing in a dive tank to refill from if you're wanting to use it in the assault role on a regular basis.
  14. It doesnt take much. Was warring with an lct pbs4 before lockdown that insisted on sending odd fliers, i really need to learn to stop buying lct stuff.....
  15. Generally air seal manifests as vertical dispersion, side to side is something else, by the way your saying it i wanna say you're getting rounds clipping the suppressor giving you those wild fliers.
  16. I'm not encouraging, merely stating the inevitable Yep, this is why i have a gun that is very specifically designated as the one that shall not be fucked with, in the hope that come game day i have at least one functional pew
  17. I'm suspecting air seal, but as a general rule its worth having at least one spring around you can be pretty sure of. Issue is the ratings of different springs can vary with different manufacturers. I've found asg's m95's tend to be pretty reliably 1j in most boxes but i've had m90's shoot higher and m110's shoot lower. What was the fps variance like before the change? Thats the best you can really do as a test of air seal quality.
  18. I give it a day. If your anything like me that is, i dont think i've ever fired the same gun twice
  19. you'll be waiting a while, there's a reason why the cyma ak is a common site rental gun......
  20. Must admit, i'm not a fan of the habit of stuff getting straight up yeeted these days. Unless its seriously egregious can it at least just be locked so what information is on there isnt lost to time? Tbh ive never partaken in fb groups for hobbies like these, the forum environment is just superior, only time i go on there is to check when a site opens.
  21. Huh, well there you go. Granted most of the ones i've worked on have had a few rounds through them.
  22. Stock motor? Not had that. Granted you get a fair bit of free precocking but not enough to fire a second round.
  23. really depends on what you want/how you play. something like a nanoasr will give basic contact protection easy enough. i'd stay away from using anything with active braking that doesn't also have precocking (which the warfet does), active brake on it's own has a nasty habit of causing lockups on ak boxes. precocking will give snappier trigger response in semi auto, the gun will run fine without it but if you do a lot of semi auto shooting it can be nice to have. reason i'd say the nanoasr is it's the same wiring on the gun as the warfet, so if you ever want to get something fancier it's plug and play (no point re-wiring the gun twice)
  24. Cyma upgrades? Bunch of cyma 140 round mid caps, Bag of geoffs and a cleaning rod If you really wanna push the boat out: E&c brass nozzle, new piston o ring, maple leaf macaron+omega nub, bit of air seal work and a warfet. Put it together right and on 11.1v you'll have an evil wee gat.
