  1. ahh yes, the wonderful world of first time hpa: *looks at fcu settings* FUUUUUUUUUUUUU
  2. isn't that the argument for using the middle finger on the trigger? as-in literal point and shoot. i did find it interesting when i first started using the makarov how much i went full sean connery with the low-down one handed hip firing. but tbh i've never put as much thought into particular "stances" when shooting, it's a case of get behind the gun, get the sights on target and shoot. of course that has led to me remaining stubbornly incapable of shooting left-handed/swapping sides gracefully, but i just work round it (mostly by getting someone else to take left hand corners)
  3. For sure, he even painted the sights to match! Exception that proves the rule i guess
  4. and as we all know every airsoft tech working at a shop puts the maximum of care, attention and the precise skill that only comes with experience into every job they do. or i could be wrong and there could be a reason why premium tech's are a thing.....
  5. not sure if i want to watch the video to make my own judgement, or not watch it to deny him the views. unfortunately regardless of how decent or not mr creative nickname generator is in the flesh, the personality he's created to play the youtube clickbait game really makes him out to be the embodiment of what airsoft shouldnt be. sadly "omg you wont beleive the painful cheater getting 500fps sniper 360noscope point blank to the balls instant karma" gets more clicks than "played a days airsoft, it was fun, but more fun in person than it looks in the video, trust me it was good"
  6. bullpup rpk innit or for those of us who cannot understand a concept unless stated in meme form:
  7. i thought it'd be the opposite, more kinetic energy in the piston means you're gonna need more initial spring energy. but the momentum of the heavier piston then limits the velocity the bb can acheive regardless of its weight because the bb's energy gain is a smaller proportion of the energy in the system. come to think of it, it's really hard to describe how i think the whole heavyweight piston thing works.
  8. i must admit, if there's a benefit other than that i'm not 100% sure what it is. unless forcing the piston to impact slower is better for noise? although i'd have assumed a lighter piston would be easier to slow down.
  9. that's because you're a toxic member who doesn't contribute anything to this forum. oh wait, sorry wrong guy...... i dunno, apparently being new isnt the problem:
  10. budget would be handy. tbh this sounds like a job for a cyma platinum or a g&g
  11. i can only assume it's for people who want to play paintball, but don't like the pain. for me part of airsoft is the fact we can dress up and have realistic looking gnu's, otherwise i would just play paintball.
  12. see how much better the world is when we can have open and reasoned debate where we respect each others opinions fortunately the limitations of the internet prevent it being obvious that i couldn't type that with a straight face
  13. lockdown has us all bored, plus we haven't been out shooting to grumble about what really needs to be addressed: speedsofters
  14. righto, dunno where he's at but you never can tell with forums folk can be on at all sorts of hours.
  15. fair enough, i thought when you used the term "conveniently deleted" you were inferring a cover up or something. btw who do you mean when you say Ed? if you're meaning avenger then i don't know his IRL name.
  16. i can't say i'm sold on the idea of the moderation team acting as part of a conspiracy, they tend to be pretty impartial here. you're conveniently forgetting to mention the bit where me and @Skara offered you a fair trial. i mean as fair as any other witch trial was having a nice relaxing bath, and whilst my z5 might have been waterproof out of the box i ain't so confident it's waterproof now.....
  17. are you meaning perhaps in the ad? because i ain't seeing what you're referring to in this thread. looks like the comments have been moderated and the discussion directed here, without seeing them i can't tell if you have a point or not.
  18. you mean this convo? lets run through it shall we: original callout, just mentioning the price is expensive for what it is, which isn't unknown for this particular seller who often will link to websites in his own ads that are selling the same gun for cheaper than his price. bit of side banter playing devils advocate and defending the pricing (part of the open debate this thread is meant to have) both countering the points raised by albiscuit, again open debate and presented in a non-offensive manner. and this is the one i'm guessing you're meaning, where it is theorised (but not explicitly stated) that the gun was bought cheaper than it's being sold for, whilst also stating that there's no rule against this practice. granted there's an expression of distaste for the practice of acting as a trader via the forums, which is an opinion that can be argued to be entirely reasonable, although in this case stated with the help of memes in the banter-laden fashion that is common to this thread. i seem to be missing the bit where the toxic bullying happened?
  19. i've tried those, problem is the gun just tends to pull the whole rig into an awkward angle which is just as annoying. neckscarf or even better a jacket with a hood are good for preventing slings sawing your head off.
  20. yeah, we've had to add a customs branch since brexit. and if they do (outside of people just posting for a laugh) it tends to get pounced on pretty quick, eg:
