  1. Hi Holly, welcome to the forum, while I've never used any of the Osprey stuff, my understanding is they're quite heavy & cumbersome, with not much flexibility. Have you tried an alternative rig, or none at all for a short game, it will tell you if the vest is the problem. Alternatively is the rifle a good fit, possibly front end heavy ? Or even what eyepro/face protection are you using, many full masks will stop you aligning the sights properly, but if you force the mask down on to the rear stock in order to "sight" on your target, it's unlikely that your rifle will be shouldered properly. Lots of things to consider, more info is definitely needed ?
  2. Assuming you can prove it's yours, & the seller has enough of what was taken still in his possession to match your crime report. Even then, you're assuming he'll roll over & say something like "it's a fair cop guv, fill yer boots", or alternatively he claims he paid good money for them & tells you to do one, will you then be forced to rely on the local plod to turn up, given that they've previously blown you out apparently.
  3. Pleased you got your rifle back, but confused as to why the plod would make a ridiculous comment like that. I would reopen comms with somebody at a higher level, because you can guarantee that Mr "redacted" would do his best to backpedal & deny giving you that advice, especially if your snatchback went pear shaped in some way, which sounds likely if these criminals are adept enough to hack in to vehicles. The fact you have the conversation recorded is great, but may still not be enough to stop you getting a criminal record if you go ahead with your plans.
  4. Except for the bit where "dead" players can call out tactical info, I can see most players getting fed up with that pretty quickly?
  5. Twat got off lightly.
  6. Come on, which one of you was it ? ?
  7. I've got these with the same adapter, work well? https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/cyma-120rnd-old-school-straight-mid-cap-magazine-for-smg5-aeg-series
  8. As others have said, aep's are lacklustre at best, imho you'd be better off saving a bit more cash & going down the gbb route. A quick browse of the classifieds shows a plethora of reasonable guns for £100 or less. But stay away from raven, nuprol, or any of the other moody brands, they'll just leave you with a poor initial gbb experience. So get an idea of models you like, much of it is cosmetic, then look at what's available & cross reference for reviews, but take much of what you see on YouTube with a pinch of salt, many are paid reviews or kiddies that don't know or have any better comparison experience.
  9. Doesn't mention single shot, but trust us, it will be.
  10. Ooh, I wonder what's coming next ? ?
  11. Am I the only one who's wondering what this mysterious new project is that's made the serial hoarder, aka @ButcherBill start selling off kit ?

Not my first add... sold a couple of BB's a few weeks ago.

  12. Hpa has feck all to do with accuracy, but more consistent than gas, but everyone with hpa cheats anyway ?
  13. Nope, single shot only, & I forgot to mention some sites also insist on a time lapse between shots, "only one in the air" etc, to stop trigger spamming.
  14. Legally, the gun shouldn't be capable of full auto if its fps exceeds 378+ on a .20, obviously any site worth attending would veto it as it would invalidate any kind of insurance, making them 100% liable. But some dodgy players try to secretly keep the ability to enable full auto, claiming its the only thing to remedy gearbox lockup.
  15. Why not just buy this one, stick a bigger spring in it & your ready to go, mags n all, £200 (or less ?)? https://airsoft-forums.uk/classifieds/item/64299-cyma-platinum-sr25/
  16. Any gun can be finicky, but gas more so, especially with temperature changes, different power gas etc, assuming the gun itself is set up perfectly ?. Unfortunately a raven pistol isn't any kind of benchmark to judge gas guns by, well maybe the bad ones ?. So aeg is the way to go, but then you need to consider that some sites expect a dmr to be based on a real world dmr equivalent, not just an m4a1 with a barrel extension. Also dmr fps can vary from site to site, 450/420/400/378 are all fps limits for dmrs I've seen previously. With that in mind, once you've narrowed down your choice, you'll want to make sure the contenders have a quick change spring system, it's the easiest way to alter power output at short notice. & don't forget it needs to be single shot, ideally mechanically incapable of auto fire, as most sites won't accept dmrs that have restricted fire mode set by mosfet. I'm sure someone else will tell you what best out of those you've mentioned. Good luck
  17. I think we as a community need clarification on how EXACTLY does the system work (or how its supposed to work but doesnt?), what inter-agency communication there is, including how involved the carriers can be, & what we, or the offshore retailers can do to ensure the process is as smooth & trouble free as possible. Who here is a member of, or ideally involved in the hierarchy of any of the airsoft associations such as ukasa (might have got that acronym wrong ?) ect, maybe they can be convinced to open dialogue with ukba/hmrc/carriers to ascertain the precise process, & look at addressing what's going wrong ?. My take is it's likely lack of knowledge along the chain, retailers not labelling goods properly, & carriers/ukba/hmrc not knowing enough about airsoft & it's limitations, being blinded by the fact our kit resemble a gun, so therefore must be a gun?
  18. Everything that EvilMonkee wrote is correct, & couriers, such as ups, face large fines if they fail to adhere to the rules set by hmrc (& ukba).
  19. If it's the genuine magpul, I've seen them up for as much as £650 s/h, Rocketdogbert was a particular fan of them if I remember?
  20. We've had members here for years with no posts, just lurking lol. Re JohnnyBravo, can't see anything suspicious, all I will say is if anyone chats with him about selling, keep it here, don't be convinced to talk on WhatsApp etc, scammers love it, it protects them.
  21. On the move at mo, I'll look him up shortly, scam or eedjit, it is the school hols after all?
  22. Thanks for clarifying that, I should imagine that now most EU suppliers are paying the duty at source, they're focusing on other regions for maximum revenue generation ?
