As @Cannonfodder said, its not essential, but it will make life so much easier when buying, even secondhand.

If he's that kinda guy, & i mean it the nicest way, he needs to swallow his pride or park his ego, if he's going to survive & prosper, the fact that he's previously asked you to Marshall for him shows an element of trust, maybe its worth having another go at constructive critique, if not in person then a call or maybe even an email, explaining where you think he's gone wrong with the layout & how he could gradually improve it, maybe by recycling or reconfiguring some of his structures that have negatively affected the games ebb & flow. Don't get me wrong, don't know the guy, nor have I played his sites, but like you I've played lots of other sites, some great & some dreadful, & sometimes the bad ones have enormous potential but are badly run, crap staff, shite game scenarios, or alternatively amazing enthusiastic staff but the site layout/size/location makes decent play untenable. But none of us want to see a sites demise, we've lost too many already to development etc😢, especially cqb themed.

Do you think it can be fixed with regards to layout etc ?, or is it just not "fit for purpose" due to the aforementioned ? If its the former, maybe people need to give him feedback in the form of constructive criticism ?, help him get back on track🤞

Thats a real shame, for both you & the organisers. I'll be honest & say that if he's not getting the numbers he needs on a day when the weather forecast is pretty good, he needs to have a good hard look at his business, either aspects of the site & gameplay, or his calendar schedule if its running gamedays that conflict with his nearest (& possibly better ?) rivals ?

I'm not sure how far back the automatic renewal system is pulling ads from, so if someone has had say 90 ads, will it keep drawing from that historical pool ?, would 81 have to be deleted before it allowed a new ad to be added ?. Sorry, im not much help, all in can say is Proffrink is pulling his hair out over the issues, but is working hard to resolve them for the benefit of all the forums members.🙏

Probably mod privileges give me delete options, send me a few urls of ads you want rid of, we'll see if it works ?

I've just properly deleted all my old wanted & sold ads, it allowed me to post a new wanted ad.

To be honest Rob, ages back i googled your username, something I've done with a few unusual sounding usernames, wondering what the meaning was or where members sourced them from, & yours mentioned your musical history, originating from the bristol area if memory serves me ? I'm not a stalker, honest😜

You need to start a thread in the "guns wanted" section within the classifieds.

Obviously if that had happened here, i would have acted on the reports immediately................ And probably bought it😈

That literally hides them from view, its not a "hard" delete unfortunately. I'm happy to delete some for members (lol, im probably gonna regret this😱), just send me the URL.

Should be a drop down menu somewhere, under "thread moderation" maybe ?, failing that, send me a pm with the URL's of the ads you want gone and I'll delete them.
