Right..NV will take 7-10 Days, i've ordered from the States some sacrificial lenses and an adapter so I can mount the monocular to a j-arm & mount..of which I just need to find said j-arm & mount..:)

  4. Thinking of getting into NV, but worried about shot out lenses.  Anyone know where I can buy lens protector's / sacrificial lenses in the UK?  Bloody ITAR in the states is annoying. :)

have a look on the real steel pages on facebook or have a look at mapleleaftactical (ambiguousdave on ebay) on IG failing that tactical optician can make you sacrificial lenses.

Polycarbonate sheets are cheap, easy to cut with a jigsaw (or a hacksaw with patience), and 2mm should be enough to see off most BBs. All of my sights are running DIY'd polycarb protectors, and my torches now have polycarb "lenses".  It doesn't have to be neat: one sight just has a square slab of polycarb with holes in each corner and thin cable-ties lashing it to the optic.  Looks a bit trailer park, but it works fine.

the one i have the previous owner was kind enough to have left in a homebrew polycarb lense as rogerborg suggests, seems like it'll do the job and remember it's a night vision sight, to be used at night, so looks arent important

  5. Going into Birmingham tonight to try out Bravo One.  :)

Well what a waste of time that was...first off I paid for parking but it was free after 6pm. (Machine with info had stickers all over it, so couldn't read any of the blurb)  Got onsite, started setting up..chrono time and 330fps maximum limit.  WTF?  Both my G&G and ICS were too hot for this place, just a tad over their 5% allowance.  I can use my guns at other CQB venues just fine as every other CQB place i've been to is 350.  So faced with no usable pew pew...I had to leave, asked for a refund but they said no!  Then they offered to rent me a AK for £12 for 2hrs..Umm, no thanks.  So walked out pretty pissed off and £24 + fuel down in pocket.  (Even put a m95 spring in my ICS as it's quick change, but still just over)

Should I buy a m90 spring and go back?  Seemed like a good bunch of lads who turned up...just annoyed at their silly fps limits. /end rant!

  6. Need help!..When filling my Tokyo Marui HK45 pistol mags with greengas, I have an issue with a lot of gas/liquid not actually going in and spurting everywhere from the gas fill nozzle and valve..some gas goes in but a lot just goes everywhere..this happens on all 3 of my mags.  I've removed all the valves, lubed them with silicon oil, screwed them back in gently, but still get a lot of excess spurting out when filling..they never did it when new.  Any thoughts or tips?

Have you ever had a TM before? This is standard behaviour when filling mags. They are quite sloppy to fill and the gas gets sloppier when they are full.

If its not that then I have far better results with Plastic nozzles.

    3. heroshark

      heroshark

      better with a plastic nozzle

Well just tried the silent fill o-rings, which were a bugger to put on, but sadly it's made the problem even worse...liquid greengas goes everywhere. I think I need new valves..but can't find any atm. :(

  7. Question: Can you run a non-TM midcap in a SCAR-L?

    1. Druid799

      Druid799

With the wee mag adapter you can but you do loose the bolt stop function (which for me is the main reason I buy TM recoil Armalite platforms)

    2. Monkman

      Monkman

Righto...am thinking of getting a SCAR, but I already have x10 Mid caps.  While the bolt stop function is cool..it's not the main reason I would want a TM.  Mag adapter!  Ok, Cheers Druid.... :)

  8. Damn..just been put forward for a new job..£10k more than on I'm on right now..but I love the people I work with, the location and the shift patterns...but new job means every weekend off..so more money for Pew Pew and playing every weekend.....I've put in for it!  :)

Best of luck buddy! I’m trying to get a new job too, but have to shell out £100k first!

  9. Really had to say no to a TM SCAR L today.....Can't justify spending more £££ on another gun..do I really need 4 rifles?

Only 4? That’s some heavy slacking! In my first 12months of playing I accrued 24 RIFs... it’s taken me another 18 months to slowly cut that number down.

      24. Good effort that man!
Although tbf, at my current rate of accrual, I might meet you at that.
14 so far since February..... eek!

You boys need a drug habit to help you stop buying RIFs!

  10. I am old and wise... and I can say that I am not a 'spunktrumpet'..lol Only in certain circumstance will I use it..mostly, probably for shock & distraction. It will probably get very little use..but it's fun!
  11. Please don't hate me...but had to buy one! Can't wait to test this 40Mike out...comes with an awesome patch. (Also got the ASG Storm grenade fixed...realised it also fits perfectly into my BMW drinks holder...lol)
  12. Ordered a scope for £99 from them..was on back order. Changed my mind and cancelled it..got refund to my credit card the same day. No issues and quite helpful over the phone.
  13. Mine didn't work...lost all it's gas by the time I went to use it...when I re-filled it it was leaking out the bottom.
  14. Well that ASG Storm 360 I bought is a pile a shit..filled it up, went to use it in a cqb scenario..found it lost it's gas.  Went back to re-fill it, noticed gas leaking from the bottom.  Still wouldn't work, refilled it again but leaking was worse, liquid was just spurting out of the bottom.  What a waste of £50!

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but have you checked that the valve core is secure?

    2. Monkman

      Monkman

Not sure, but I did take it apart as I thought maybe an o-ring was broken, but both top and bottom o-rings are ok.  Lubed them and put it together again..still leaks.

God dammit.  Bloody airsoft gear, I'm thinking of switching to Nerf.

  15. Dammit...I've done it again! Bought 2 weeks ago...G&G TR4-18 and added my bits to it. (Acetech Predator tracer, Element AN/PEQ15, Elcan Spectre clone 1x4 with red dot sight) and on yesterday I got myself a ASG Storm 360 Grenade...(Went with the green weenie..as it'll be easier to find in the dark) also traded in the Nuprol Holo sight I bought 2 weeks ago (It sat wonky on the rail of the G&G TR4-18) and upgrade to a Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6x24 Scope which sit's on the awesome ICS MARS. An expensive day...and I had to say no to the Tokyo Marui's they were un-stacking from the shipment crate at JDAirsoft.... but I was tempted to either finance it or stick it on the credit card...lol but I grit my teeth and walked out...until next month!
  16. Just a heads up... JDAirsoft has just received some Tokyo Mauri stuff, it's up on their website! Would've bought one there and then..but just paid for a Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6x24 Scope and a G&G TR4-16 two weeks ago. (Scope going on my ICS, which I'm going to convert to DMR)

  17. Went to JD today to put one of my guns in for warranty repair and to buy some bits & bobs...Walked out with another new gun.  Dammit all to hell!!!!   😮

Just a G&G TR4-18 in Tan...wanted something for CQB, so new Tan holosight to go with it also...already have a Tan AN/PEQ15.  Pimping...and pretty cheap as they had a 10% off everything that day.

      Sweeeeeet !

dont knock it bud , a fair few ‘seasoned’ S’ofters look down on combat machines but if your after a gun for a specific job then it’s the perfect choice for the job . 👍

    4. Lozart

      Lozart

@Druid799 the TR4-18 is a Top Tech, not a Wombat Machine. Good guns, nice choice!

  18. I have another tool which allows me to remove the muzzle break & tighten the castle nut on the Buffer tube...I noticed it also as doubles as a tool to remove the nut under the delta ring. (Noticed it only after I was looking in my tool box for other options to remove the nut after I bent the 'cheese' tool) The nut came off pretty easy with my other tool, require a bit of force...but was fine! That shitty tool I bought, no word of a lie..I can bend it with my fingers when holding it in one hand!!!
  19. Bought a "DELTA Ring tool"...........didn't last long! & A replacement barrel for my ICS CXP CQB HOG (As I stripped the muzzle threads) Well..decided to take off the Delta Ring from my M4 today, so broke out the tool I bought from Fire-support. (Am thinking of putting a Mk18 rail system on it, but want to take apart the front end of the M4A1 today to see how it came apart) Long story short, the "Airsoft Pro M4 Delta Ring Tool (Steel)" is really made of 'cheese'...It bent without hardly any pressure. After looking at it and holding it, I can bend it with one hand!!! The "Steel" is of very low quality and made of soft steel. If buy tools, don't buy this product... My fault, I should've spent more money on a decent one, but thought for airsoft, it would be ok...but no! Have contacted Fire-Support telling them that product is crap!
  20. New tactical light turned up today... My Tokyo Mauri HK45 Tactical is now complete...
  21. I'm in the market for a new CQB gun and I'm thinking of two options, either a Mk18 M4 or a HK 416.  Below are two examples that intrigue me. (Tokyo Marui's are just a little expensive atm...)

Anyone have any experience with either of the below options?

In your shoes if I can I always try to scrape the beer tokens together to buy another gatt that’s basically already to go if I can . I find if I’m after a very specific gun I’m never truly happy with my own build but if I can get one ready built from a retailer ?

Thanks for the suggestion guys...gonna wait till next payday, spent to much this month on bits & bobs... :)

  22. I've been tinkering and pulling it apart constantly, learning how the thing goes together...I have a potential trigger contact issue, so when I get a free day..i'm going to delve into the mech box. Also i've not been the kindest to it out on the field..it's had two dunking's in water and caked in mud several times. The forward RIS is starting to wobble a bit, so need to find out a way of making it tighter than a Yorkshire man! My ICS on the other had is treated like a goddess....anyone who looks at it the wrong way, gets their throats ripped out. (Ok made that bit up..but i'm a lot more careful with that one as it cost me £390)
  23. Yes I do.. But it's getting a little tired. I've moved onto a sexier, younger model now...tight and sleek..and oriental.
  24. Was at RIAT today to watch da planes...found a RAF Regiment stand and got to play with some guns...OMG! I cannot believe how good the Elcan Spectre x4 optic is on the L85A2...me wanty one!!! (I have  clone Elcan and love it...but the real thing..shit hot!)  I just need around £2k I suppose to buy one..lol

Lucky! I’ve never seen through an Elcan.

  25. Bugger...just got my rota for my new job and i'm working both Sunday's at two of my fav sites..Grrr! At least my 3rd fav is available on a day off!  Time to break out the lights & lasers and hit some dark dark tunnels!!
