  1. New? Unlikely, as FOB are out of stock, and I doubt Novritsch is big into two-toning for the UK market. https://www.ukfob.co.uk/Novritsch-Airsoft/SSG10/Novritsch-SSG10-A1-Airsoft-Sniper-Rifle Why the SSG10, out of interest? Unless you've got 60m+ of garden, you're unlikely to see much practical improvement over your JG VSR. If you're dead set on the SSG10, you could look for a used one - it's entirely up to sellers who they sell to. Or if it's purely for back garden target shooting and not for skirmishing, air rifles can be had for less, over the counter (other than in Scotland )
  2. With the three saddest words in airsoft: "never been skirmished". 😢
  3. It's why I gave up historic re-enactment. The groups I was in were always trending towards "professionalism", i.e. committing to providing clients with more numbers, bigger living history displays, and showier arena performances. It got to the point where we were prepping and loading vans days before big events, and staying on after weekends to tear down, as the chap running each group tried to turn it into a career. Me, I just wanted to eat hog roasts and swing swords. Airsoft needs more hog roasts!
  4. You mean, by the access roads at typical airsoft sites, right? In Minecraft.
  5. Hmm, now that you mention it, I don't seem to have received any "Someone just..." notification when I changed my password this week.
  6. A clause that only a lawyer could love. It's just begging for some juicy "What Parliament meant to say was..." case law. Nonsense, the Thompson doesn't shoot 10mm explosive-tip caseless standard light armour-piercing rounds. We know for a fact that sitting outside a bank with a bright orange springer - that everybody in the case agrees is a "toy" - can get you prosecuted and convicted.
  7. That's the thing, I'm not sure that he does. His fans like to rattle off "You're just jelly of his success", but I actually pity him. I'd hate to turn a fun hobby into a full time job where I had to travel further and further to keep making and faking more and more extreme clickbait to chase those rare multi-million-view hits. And the tragic thing is that he doesn't even seem to enjoy it, or not in any way that's healthy, as he has to constantly surround himself with grief and conflict. When he looks back on his career, I wonder what he'll have to feel proud about as a human being, beyond Bigger Number Better. In terms of "yeahbut, where's the proof", there was a series of videos made 3 or 4 years ago detailing his shenanigans. He got them taken down with copyright strikes, and, as above, he does seem to re-edit the most egregious stuff after getting the initial views. He's good at what he does, there's no denying that. The incident that solidified my opinion was when he was deliberately shooting a couple of players in the face, explicitly to punish them, because "dead players don't talk". Well, they shouldn't talk about game issues, but: 1) If he was 25 or 30m away from them, how could he hear what they were talking about? 2) In order to do this, he was camping their spawn. That's typical of the stuff that I watched. The narcissist narrative is CHEETARS PUNASHED, but if you apply a bit of thought, he's often condemning himself more than the players that he's policing.
  8. Ouch. Completely blocked, at source, or in the middle? That seems rather extreme.
  9. Ah, yes, I'd be surprised if there's much margin in selling a "basic" branded motor. If I had to make an assumption, sight unseen, I'd guess that they're now selling the same thing redbranded as their cheapest motor, although whether M120-M140 implies "high speed" or "high torque" is a different question. In the UK we'd consider that high torque, but that's pretty standard in the US.
  10. Wow, absolutely bang on: let's keep this one. 👍 Well, no, for the reasons @1967PF44covered. I'm sure we've been over this before. Firearms Act "imitation firearm" uses the Man on the Clapham Omnibus[*] standard. But VCRA "realistic imitation firearm" very specifically requires it to be an imitation of an actual make and model of (modern) firearm. Strictly speaking, there's no offence committed by selling an APS UAR, but it would be an offence (without a reasonable excuse) to possess it in public. [*] Remember we had that chap declaring that he was going to take a bus to airsoft sites while open-carrying a Snow Wolf M41A because everybody should know that it wasn't a real gun? 🙄
  11. Not a clue, it doesn't seem to be listed on ASG's site. https://actionsportgames.com/en-gb/productcatalog/products/gun-accessories/aeg-internal-upgrade-parts/motors-parts What's your interest in it?
  12. Ahoy and welcome. Have you played yet? How's it going for you?
  13. None of his multiple personalities went? Eff me, I've just looked at the views his clickbait has been getting. What an absolute tragedy for our hobby.
  14. Business rates are the big whammy in the UK. As soon as you have a roof, you get mugged for eye-watering sums, and it's hard to argue that a site is derelict while it's in commercial use. Oof, I wonder if CQB sites are going to be telling players to bring torches this winter, rather than turning the lights on.
  15. Most airsoft guns are clones or variants of each other so there may be other parts that fit - especially if your retailer actually modified the trigger unit. https://www.airsoftsniperforum.com/ might be more help - this thread suggests that it's mostly VSR... except for the parts that aren't. There used to be another site - that escapes my searching now - that focussed on parts compatibility. I wonder if anyone else can recall what it was.
  16. Eh. Everyone loves a bit of drama. We've had this discussion a few times and know that it ends nowhere, so we're finding fun in other ways. There's no real griefing involved: note that @Tommikka and I respectfully disagree on the firearm-and/or-RIF issue. If I really wanted to be rude, I'd ask how much of your career was spent in Traffic, or Professional Standards. But rest assured that I'd never sink that low.
  17. That's certainly possible. However, if it turns out to be as accurate as Mustard's marksmanship, how persuasive is it likely to be? Fresh opinions and challenging the status quo are fine and healthy: that's the basis for all improvements. Of course, as Mustard demonstrates, it can also result in becoming righter and righter in fewer and fewer places.
  18. Not that I ever use it now, but I've changed my password there as well. It seems that they're going after idle accounts where it's less likely to be noticed - they made a bit of a mistake with your active account here. No luck on getting it back?
  19. In general, yes. In this case, come on, let's be serious. De minimis non curat lex.
  20. <Tommy-Lee-Jones-disapproving-stare.png> If you want a quick dopamine hit, you can report his videos - unwatched - as harmful / dangerous / hurtyfeels conduct.
  21. I'd be very surprised if they've actually done anything with the trigger unit. Those are a big cost: a 90 degree trigger box will run you close to £100 just on its own, even without a 90 degree piston. They might have changed the standard 45 degree sear for something less cheesy, but if so, it's not working very well. Sorry to hear this, I don't mean to sound unsympathetic. I have an "upgraded" MB-03 that's currently in my pile of shame due to trigger unit issues, although in my case it's the spring stopper that's wallered out.
  22. Sure, it's all down to the people who show up on the day (and whether the wrong 'uns get dealt with). However, Phoenix is the first site that I've seen that has its own website but doesn't appear to have one single word to say about rules or conduct. As a new player there, how would you know how the game is meant to be played, or what to expect? Maybe from watching YouTube videos, urgh. The only thing they list is maximum fps / energy for guns (nothing about MED or rate of fire), and uniquely, they allow auto AEG right up to 1.3J chronoed on a 0.2g BB. Either they don't know, or don't care, that anything shooting heavier BBs is likely to Joule creep above that legal limit, making it (legally speaking) not an airsoft gun, but a Section 5 firearm. I'm not saying auto at 1.35J is going to instantly start murderkilling folk or blowing through eyepro, just that it gives the impression of a site that's a bit... special.
  23. OP never told us why he wanted to do it, must have been killed by the exploding gearbox. Press F to pay respects.
  24. Yup, that does work. A chunk of pencil eraser can be used in a pinch, or to quickly work out the size that you'll need.
