It particularly gets my goat because there will be folk out there with pistols shooting at over 1.3J, quite likely unchronoed, with nobody batting an eyelid about MED or ROF. Sites should be educating players that appearance and barrel length means very little in airsoft, not surrendering to the fantasy.

Beats me, with their track record (company and users) it could very well be either. Surely you'd Glock-block it after the first hilarious incident, but I guess some people prefer to be shocked and offended.

That is quite possibly the dumbest, laziest, wrongest thing I've heard of a site doing, and it's up against some quite stiff competition.

Too cryptic, chap. If you're not going back (prediction: you will), then just name the site (prediction: you won't).

Training. Take the time to ensure that all your marshals, even your mates or the ones doing it for freebies, have a clear understanding of what they're supposed to be doing, and why, both on technical issues like chronoing, and on resolving issues in game. It wouldn't take long, and even less so if you write it down. This starts with site owners, and sadly far too many of them seem to have a muddle through attitude, or that everybody knows what they're doing - or more specifically, that everybody has the same assumptions and beliefs that they picked up fifteen years ago, which isn't necessarily the same thing. Given the thankless job of trying to run a site, I'm certainly not judging, but it is so nice when you come across one that documents everything, rather than running it via Facebook or word of mouth on a "Just ask m8 lol" basis.

And long term, it's a balance of trade issue. China sends us shiploads of cheap tat, and in return, we send them... not much, really, and very few bulk goods. That's one reason why prices have jumped, it's covering the costs of sending empty ships and empty containers back to Chinaland.

I occasionally use one voluntarily, but I wouldn't like to see them mandated as it gives Oberleutnant Overshoot more free reign to say "Well, your rag wasn't out / I didn't see it."

If you have a look at 5:00 in the video above, he highlights that there should be a small spring pressing down on the trigger bar. If it's weakened or missing, I'd replace it. I don't recall the size offhand, but a piece of spring from inside a pen might do the job.

If you're risk averse, then I'd suggest a CYMA, any of the M4s or AKs, particularly as a backup gun. Don't be fooled by the price, cost doesn't bear much relation to reliability in airsoft. The plastic on the cheapest M4s is pretty shoddy, and there's nothing fancy in there until you reach the Blue or Platinum models, but they're robust enough and everything can be upgraded as time, budget and inclination allows. Evos in particular have run hot and cold on QC, with the gears shredding in short order. That's supposed to have been sorted now, but it's not something I'd like to gamble on at the price.

Do they have a fuse? I honestly can't remember, I've rewired mine and gone with Deans connectors. They are quite fiddly to disassemble, with lots of little parts to lose, but there's a comprehensive guide here: And I'd always recommend buying a basic multimeter which takes so much of the guesswork out of it. Sight unseen I'd expect it's either a broken solder connection, or the trigger, which is a teeny, fiddly thing.

"Buy another toy" is generally the right answer.

My theory is that they don't really want to sell. They only listed because their missus ordered them to get back what they (actually) paid for their toys, even if they paid over the odds. Then they get caught up in a dick-measuring contest about not taking one penny less than their asking price.

It sounded experienced. Marshals should know more than any player on site. Far too often, they know less than that guy on Facebook asking "What am bests startar gnu lol?"

Aw, chap, no. I guess this is a salient lesson that once you reach the point of initiating a dispute, the only acceptable resolution is a refund.

The only thing I'm reading into it is that Border Farce got a fat wodge of funding thrown at them and are stopping everything that they can (and some stuff that they shouldn't be stopping) just for the sheer jobsworth spite of it.

It doesn't really matter which one I trust. The site is going to go by theirs. This is why I'm always first at the chrono in the morning in case I have to do some emergency fettling. Urgh, fps again. I've never understood this "aim for" / "hard limit" stuff. I'll aim for the hard limit, and I expect everybody else will too.

I didn't learn this the first time I had my lens shot out. I finally learned it after the second one. BBs seem to home in on them. Cat Crap works, but I find that Revision anti-fog wipes work better, and better than anything else (and I've tried them lens-vs-lens against most lotions and potions).
