  1. I've never had a problem with Parcel Force Worldwide Express 48 ? Tried Hermes a couple of times and NEVER again ? Use THIS site to book at good prices.
  2. In the video above you can see they open the bolt and hold it open with their thumb when the barrel is inspected. That's as safe as you can get. As far as airsoft goes, if the battery is out on an AEG or the magazine out of a GBB then its as safe as it can be. The only danger is thinking its been made safe when it hasn't. So its important to always check there is no battery or magazine.
  3. Yeah, its bad handling but not the worst.
  4. What are your other AEG's? That's where a MOSFET is used. I'm sure someone here can tell you which one you would need for the Vector though I believe its a pain to fit one in that gun.
  5. Yeah, thats a good point. There are several stages of seriousness depending on the age of the 'trainee' 1. Nerf 2. Airsoft 3. Air-pistol/rifle 4. Rimfire 5. Centrefire The earlier they start the less serious the consequences of messing up. Of course the person teaching needs to have some basic knowledge to pass on or do their own research when they start alone. Unfortunately there are many who have not been taught properly or not learned for themselves so accidents will happen. In the case of actual weapons such as rimfire and centrefire the user would have to be part of a club or get some training before owning one. Probably the most dangerous would be air weapons which can certainly kill and can be bought over the counter with no real restrictions.
  6. Eek. those were steel too
  7. OMG you're so lucky it wasn't loaded otherwise you probably wouldn't be around to tell the tale ? Airsoft is a great way to teach weapon safety to the young and ingrain the muscle memory for correct handling. That is IF the parent teaches the youngun properly...
  8. I think the 'template' helps ?
  9. Dedicated dad ? Wouldn't it be easier to make yourself? Just download and print some things from here or here
  10. Personally I would advise against using an 11.1 with anything other than a blowback system. As noted by our esteemed Druid, 11.1 will wear parts faster especially using auto. Semi is better but if something does go out of alignment in the firing sequence, the consequences will likely be worse.

    THE TM MWS thread

Patrolbase are one of the best ?
  12. As above. They rebrand the cheapest products they can source. Gas is about the only thing worth buying from them. Batteries may be OK but definitely stay away from their chargers. (Decent batteries include: Vapex, KongPower, Turnigy) Look at SkyRC for decent Li-Po chargers. Nuprol recently made a deal with WE to distribute in Europe/UK so some guns may OK but better to buy WE branded ones directly.
  13. Interesting thanks Fatboy40 I bet the rabbit hole becomes a warren with unofficial supply deals between them.
  14. The WE Katanas are in HongKong and won't ship to UK ?
  15. Golden Eagle is JG Works I suspect Double Eagle are related but haven't found anything concrete on that.
  16. Yep, the general advice is to use it until something breaks or you notice a particular component underperforming.
  17. I don't see any you should avoid. I'm happy with my SpecnaArmsEdge but some people have reported problems with them. I tend to think G&G are expensive for what you get but they are highly regarded by many. Not heard of Saigo Defense but you can't buy from iwholesales anyway (Unless you managed to set up an account with them) Best to get some hands-on before considering the Para-Aug. Its quite back heavy and takes some getting used to. Have a look at the JG range as they make good low cost polymer guns that shoot quite well. CYMA also make decent budget (lighter) guns As BigStew mentioned, consider an MP5 or similar sub-machinegun. Shorter barrels in airsoft do not determine max range as they do in real weapons. There is some correlation between length and range but there are many factors that affect the range apart from barrel length.
  18. Wow, that's surprising as Daves are usually quite pricy. Sorry Jacob but you may have to reduce the price a bit...
  19. Makes me want to laugh and cry at the same time ?????? Good luck Jacob ? Probably a good time to sell as its out of stock in most of UK.
  20. The CM045a from Gunfire would be £164.63 inc VAT & delivery (GLS)
  21. Just came across this which states the same thing I said earlier. https://www.kingdomofairsoft.com/postage-guidelines They also assume we can classify airsoft guns as 'Low-powered air weapons' “Arms and Ammunition - low powered air weapons Low-powered air weapons (air rifles, air guns and air pistols), together with lead pellets and other airgun and airsoft projectiles, can be sent but are subject to the following conditions: These items must be sent on an express48 service only These items must be sent via the Post Office only Enhanced compensation cover is not available”
  22. Yep, I suppose the distances involved would affect the air seal far more than the feed mechanics.
  23. Oh, I understand. Yeah, I guess that could work but may cause feeding problems. I had a slightly hot (+~12fps)JG SA58. I did a quick pull on the trigger in auto a few times until I got it to stop mid cycle then left it like that for a few weeks. It works but takes some time of course.
  24. Errrr, what?
  25. Sounds like you know what you're doing ? Post pics when done ?
