    Replaces any TM/JG compatible hop unit. Looking at the G33 standard hop unit its likely a big fat no!

    Picked up another AirsoftPRO G36 Hop unit. These units are pretty interesting in that it bolts onto the gearbox. Extra stable. Straightens up the barrel which is especially useful on a G36.

    Took apart my first gearbox yesterday. My battlebuddies CYMA G36 that I bought him came in at 380FPS. Took me three hours because of the sodding Anti Reversal latch and trigger spring. However it is back together with a new M90 spring and shooting at a cool 300FPS with 3-4 FPS deviancy. Not bad for a first try! Gave it a Spring guide and bucking upgrade whilst I was at it.

      I have my P90 to completely gut. All new parts going in, Gears, bushings, shims, all new compression system, spring. Motor is a TM EG1000 but might even take the armature out and put it into a neodymium can.

      You’ll be fine mate. Take your time, plenty of research before you start, set aside enough time. Put it back together and be prepared to take it apart again multiple times before it’s right.

       

      It took me 13 months from starting till finishing my Custom M4.  But it’s well worth it.

    Just got the last few parts of the P90 build from Fire Support. Went the whole hog. Guarder Cylinder enhancement set for P90 Guarder Steel Bushing set for P90 Laylax FF P90 Custom magazine catch Ultimate Spring Guide for version 6 gearboxes. Also picked up a set of Maple super feed midcap springs for my KSG M4 mags.

    Finally got my p90. Its so tiny! Haven't tested it out yet but will next week. Gave the G36 to my mate and he loves it. Shooting hot at 380fps though. At least the air seal is good ;-). Going to be putting and M90 in it on Saturday night.

      Cheers for your help gents. I am looking at the Ak2M4 ones at the moment. If I end up buying a high torque motor for my Cyma build i'll get the sorbo from there as well :)

      Bear in mind that Sorbothane isn't very rugged so the AK2M4 ones will need facing with something. I think @Sitting Duck used to use a rubber washer, might be worth an ask.

    Second package got delivered... To a neighbour. PF website didn't even say it was out for delivery otherwise I would have stayed in!

    Worked out why I didn't receive the second package. It was sent to the Poole depot! Its in the East London depot now, but it's inexplicably not out for delivery today! It arrived to the depot earlier then the package that did arrive!

    Mine arrived! Well... one of them did! The other one, which was picked up at the same time from Gunfire inexplicably didn't make it on the truck. Hoping for early tomorrow as I am in At least my battlebuddy/car wench gets his Cyma G36 Christmas present from me tomorrow!

    Brand new TM EG1000 MAX long type motor for my P90 build. Not the greatest motor in the world. But perfectly fine for my needs. Reliable is the word.

    I cant find that notification but my first order is now shown as packed and ready for shipment. 2nd order is still in progress.

    My first 61716* and my second was 61773*. Just got to put up with it! I don't desperately need anything in the orders for another 2 weeks.

    If I remember right, it did say when I ordered that nothing would be shipped out til Monday. I just ordered another RIF today and the order number is up by about 600 more then the order I made on Friday... So I may need to wait a bit longer to see the second one!

    Cheers for letting me know. I might just go with a new piston assembly but we'll see how good the compression is out of the box. I'll take this discussion to its own thread. A year ago I bought a new Swiss Arms F2000 harness, which turned out to be a P90 one. At least I have a use for it now!

    Sorry about the questions. Did you replace the O-Ring or the entire piston? Luckily I picked up the SHS nozzle myself. Do you recommend a particular motor? Cheers for the advice!

    Drunk me impressively remembered that V6 Gearboxes are the easiest to work on. Did you end up replacing the compression parts or did you PFTE it up? Any other bits you think I should order? Worth getting a better hop unit along with the bucking and nub? Worth changing the motor or do you think the 14:1 gears will suffice? For £75 quid brand new cant go wrong with the P90! Though it apparently is 400FPS out of the box.

    Drunk purchase from last night. My brain decided that I needed to learn how to work on a gearbox and decided to buy the following: CYMA P90 CM060B. Specna Arms 14:1 Gearset. Element 6mm Steel Bushings (Should have bought bearings). Xcortech XET304u Mosfet SHS P90 Air Nozzle FMA P90 QD Sling Mount Element Gearbox Shim set. 2X SHS M90 Springs Going for a high speed build, not sure whether to short stroke and go for 11.1v or just go with a standard 7.4v high speed build. Considering I have never worked on anything like this before probably will go 7.4V. I also have a TM Aug barrel that will go in this. G36 to M4 Magwell conversion adapter One point bungee sling Dump Bag for my SL8 Low Caps. 11.1v lipo with deans.

    Put in a small order of a cheap Cyma G36c and a mushroom shaped Flash Hider at midnight last night. Mine status is currently at processing, will let you know if it changes.
