  1. I am such a clutz and force my way through so much hedge on the average skirmish that I cant help that think everything will fall out.
  2. For my birthday the missus has purchased me another AirsoftPro G36 Hop unit, making it my 4th one and its going in my new XM8
  3. I'll be honest, I haven't much experience of motors outside of stock ones or the Rocket Green 16/22TPA and the SLD 22TPA. The SLD is good for builds where you are going to short stroke or DMR, it's a bit slow for an aftermarket motor if using with a standard gearset, but it has all the torque you need to pull a heavy spring for short stroking etc. For best performance use with a 9.9v life or 11.1v lipo. The screw down tabs are quite long and I had to dremel out part of a V6 gearbox to be able to set the motor height. It's also a little noisy, so I wouldn't use it for quiet builds. The Rocket green TPA is my favourite motor, it's relatively cheap, very fast and relatively quiet has a good amount of torque for a 16TPA. Cant fault it and it's quite good for both short stroking and standard gear sets. The 22TPA version is incredibly powerful whilst still being fast and should only be used in DMRs and shortstroked builds, even when used on a 7.4 lipo it was over spinning my standard gear set F2000 double shot on semi. My favourite stock motors are the SRC Neo Magnatar series which has a surprising amount of torque and whatever S&T put in their ARX160s (Has the same can as the SLD but less Torque more speed) not sure if its Neo but is a good ferrite if not. One motor that completely surprised me was when I swapped out a Standard JG ferrite in my MP5 is the TM EG1000 ferrite and it goes like absolute stink on a standard gearset and 7.4 lipo, it needs to be heard to be believed. Goes to show that the EG1000 is still a very viable motor for standard builds. So my opinion is to spend a little extra over the tempting SLD and go for the Rocket Green. It's incredible value and according to Sam of KOA fame it's almost as good as an Action Army 40k.
  4. Another order from @ak2m4. Part one of two eventual orders to fix various issues with existing and incoming RIFs. 2 x Acetech Mosfets to replace my Pico Gate AB ones in the SL8 and XM8. I cant trigger spam with the gate without locking up. 1 x 5 inch outer barrel extension for my XM8 DMR plan. 1 x Maple Leaf 60 degree VSR bucking. Replacing a 70 degree one to see if I can lift .48s on my troublesome bolty. 1 x ZCI 363mm 6.02 inner barrel. My newer XM8 is mechanically sound and shooting at a healthy 330 FPS, this should take me closer to 350 and tighten up the grouping.
  5. I guess if you cant justify your pricing you dont really want to discuss it. Sorry you must have got burned buying these rifles in the first place at whatever inflated price you got them for, but its no excuse to knowingly charge those price to someone who could be gullible. A silencer can be had for as little as 6 quid same with the mag. Why would anyone buy a sprayed, second hand (possible ex two tone) G36c, when they can get a new one for much less? Ok, Phenix in France are doing the P90 for 115 quid add an additional 20 for shipping and its still priced under your second hand one. https://www.phenixairsoft.com/en/air-spring-rifles/18126-cyma-p90-ris-dominator-w-silencieux-cm060h.html
  6. The JG G36c brand new from Gunfire costs £113 with postage to the UK (Even cheaper with the solid stock version) and the P90 not much more.... So not sure how your argument helps?
  7. I was looking for something like that for my PDR-C. The Russian style We-Con just doesnt quite suit. Maybe i'll just get one of those cheapy Kral Aria Wide RDS's which are only a fiver. Bit worried it will be too low on the rail though.
  8. Oh Shi'... my missus made an off hand comment about how she didn't realise how many rifles I have... I think she worked out that my 9 rifle bags also have an additional rifle in the large front pocket of each one!

      I wish! ;)

On my death I would donate my rifles to my Battlebuddy, but he cant stand bullpups. He'd keep the L85 and spunk the rest away.

No probs, wondered why I couldn’t find you :D

      Happy birthday though!

  14. MG36 project has now been completed with the addition of the C-Mag auto winding magazine. Had to take it apart twice already to look at how it works and how to unjam if needed. Hopefully will be using this on the field soon!
  15. I cant say as I am not hundred percent at the moment. 😉
  16. Ah I do love a nice XM8. I am considering getting one of the newer models though they have lost the XM8 charm forgoing the Sight module. It's TRUE. Bull pups are getting outnumbered at the moment, though that will hopefully change this month and next month as I may have two more incoming. I have ordered from Three separate SM shops multiple times now and never had a problem. Even if they are turds I gut them anyway so it matters very little.
  17. This just arrived from Italy. My second new old stock SRC XM8 gen 2.
  18. I couldn't say when it was released, but it certainly isn't made anymore. I got mine from Fire Support. Its already quite a front heavy gun. I am considering getting a solid stock and going rear wired at somepoint.
  19. My Jing Gong MP5SD6, aka "The Chin" aka "The meatiest Mp5 eva" aka "SirChunks" will hopefully be making its post upgrade debut this Sunday! Upgrade list as follows: Madbull Hop up tracer LEDs TM EG1000 MAX Motor First Factory Strike Chamber Guarder Cylinder Enhancement Kit (Cylinder, Piston, Piston Head, Cylinder Head) Guarder Air Nozzle. G&P Polyamid Low Resistance Selector Plate First Factory Quick Release Mag Catch Tokyo Marui Low profile Mount Base SHS V2 Steel Spring guide ZCI 6.02 Barrel Airfet Mosfet ICS Tactical SD Handguard Prometheus purple bucking/Flat hop.
  20. Sniper rifle got a TDC mod, the wheel however is pretty loose and would be easy to adjust unintentionally especially with the camo wrap on it.

There is a small soft spring underneath the wheel surrounding the screw. If I unscrewed the TDC wheel and put a stronger spring underneath, should that solve the problem?

Alternatively, can I just take the wheel and screw out and just replace with an allen key grub screw?

      clumpyedge

I'd probably go with the grub screw having said that could you put a bit of PTFE tape on the thread of the one you have now so its harder to turn?

@clumpyedge Yeah I will try some PFTE first, though I will probably go with an M4 Grub screw as I carry an Allen key with me at all times whilst skirmishing anyway (If my DMR locks up on semi I have a hole in the side of the receiver so I can poke something in and catch the cut off lever.)

In fairness once set you shouldn't need too much messing about in the field

  21. Yeah. I do it every time I visit. Just crossing over the bridge again. My 1st place passion is long distance coastal hiking so this is nothing!
  22. Nah. Got them to TDC mod the Bolty and bought a camo net for it as well. Was tempted by a FN 5-7 but decided to hold off for now.
  23. Just walking over the bridge to Canvey to see them 😉
  24. Doesn't quite work for me without a tacted up G36c
  25. So I managed to find a brand new SRC XM8 Gen 2 in OD on an obscure Italian site a little while ago. Bloody rare these days. Just managed to pick it up today! Along with a G36 c-mag for the g36. That makes it two XM8s for me!
