    Just picked up the AirsoftPro VSR hop arm. Have to stick with the stock hop unit as its not to VSR spec. So will install the hop arm along with the Autobot bucking and maybe do a TDC mod.

    Gunfire are having the dropzone sale. Large array of Well Sniper rifles for under 70 quid. https://gunfire.com/en/parameters/dropzone-17149.html I have picked up the MB09 myself for 54 quid. Take a look at some of the cheap AUGs as well!

    Just picked up this bad boy for £54 in the Gunfire dropzone sale. This will be my first bolt action rifle. I was thinking of getting one of these when they were double the price. So pretty happy. Also purchased a Maple Leaf Autobot 70 degree hop rubber and 3 additional mags. Not sure what else I should get in the short term.

    My only Airsoft shirt needs rebuttoning, so just picked up a new French CCE jumper fleece for now. Also picked up a single point L85 sling to use with the L85 and ARX160.

    Just filmed my first Rifle YouTube review. It's 30 minutes long, Rambling, lots of repetition, contradictions etc. But you might learn something about the ARX160.

    Second hand Cyma P90. I got the same one for £85 posted new from Gunfire a few months back. £130 is ridiculous.

    Anybody got a helmet recommendation for someone with a large bonce? Size 63cm...

      Any L/XL real helmet should do the job.  If you're after a chinese knock off you're pretty much out of luck.

      See if you can find any one with one of the airframe knock offs you could try on ,my boy has a ridiculously huge melon and it fits him ok .👍

      I got the L/XL "Ops Core Tan Sand DE SWAT Tactical Maritime ABS Helmet" from HWAirsoft and it fits me fine, has more padding to stick in it if you need a tighter fit too as well as the dial to tighten it up. I've got all the padding in and near enough tightest setting and I'd have said my head is pretty big so I reckon that'll sort you out!

    After upgrading the ARX160s short outer barrel to the long barrel kit and switched from the stock 250mm barrel to 404mm ZCI 6.02 barrel, the FPS leapt up by 30 to 365. As it was a quick change system I installed a particularly strong example of an M90 spring, which brought it down to 346FPS. Sounds like perfect compression to me. Amazing for untouched stock compression parts on £105 RIF.

    Thanks Well that's pretty much all of my collection. Even the M4 looks like something completely different. This is the eventual outcome.

    Finally got the longer outer barrel through from Hong Kong for the ARX160. Didn't realise the old short one was plastic and the new long one is proper heavy metal. Took the opportunity to install a new ZCI 400mm 6.02 inner barrel and Prommy purple bucking. The hop unit is very basic and doesn't use a traditional nub, but much like the G36 SRC unit it uses plastic/metal as a nub. Cant wait to try it out!

    Just got back from the latest Skirmish site to be reviewed. Urban CQB, very interesting day. Somehow my project P90 made it through the entire Skirmish!

    I have three of the same Nuprol batteries for about a year and a half. Never failed though I always put mine I to storage mode immediately after a Skirmish.

    Stuck an SLD High Torque 22TPA motor in my stock ICS L85 (Which had the anaemic ICS Infinity 2000 in it.) ROF is a little bit better, the response has improved a fair bit and it doesn't sound like a weak old man going number 2 for a change!

      I was looking at dropping on of these into my srs. How are you finding the motor? You got it from Ak2M4?

      The motors seems solid enough. Be wary though, the screws that keep the armature in the can had a very long head and I had to dremel into my CYMA P90 gearbox to get the motor to sit low enough. 

       

      Its not easy to replace the screws either because its partially threaded and longer then most I have seen. 

       

      This is a torque motor, so great trigger response, but slow rate of fire.

       

      And yes I got it from there.

FPS Results with no hop: TM AUG High Cycle: 275FPS TM FAMAS F1: 349FPS ICS L85A2: 330FPS Umarex ARX160 Sport line: 336FPS CYMA P90: 336FPS ICS CXP-15 M4: 347FPS Both pistols had hop on, more on the SW TM M9: 234FPS on 144a and 272FPS on Ultra TM Strike Warrior: 204 on 144a and 246FPS on Ultra Missing half of the collection through modification and repairs. Currently receiving care are the Umarex GBBr Tavor, JG MP5, TM FAMAS F1/SV Hybrid, CYMA F2000, SRC XM8, TM KSG and JG SL8 DMR.

      @DopeYourScope I did love the game area of Apoc, one of the best in Kent. But needs improving on the organisation. 

       

      We would like to go back on day.

    EhobbyAsia sent me an email saying they couldnt provide the stock of some items. (5 G36 midcaps, 1 MP5 RDS, 1 AUG Highcap, 1 Guarder barrel) So ordered ZCI 407mm 6.02 barrel to go in my ARX160 Acetech Mosfet to go in the ARX160. Also ordered Pistol retention strap Guarder G36 Cylinder/piston set. Just have to get the mags some other time and I can live without the RDS.

    Anyone with transport going to a Skirmish within the next month around London/SE area? My battle buddy wont be able to play this month and relying solely on public transport to get to new sites means I am very restricted. I can meet you at any London underground/overground station to get to you at a rail or underground station. I can pay petrol money and bring my good cheer! 

    I can do Saturdays and Sundays.
