Not a chance. You'll only get what you want in HK or maybe the continent of you're lucky. The 5-7 upgrade stuff was scarce in the first place.

New SE Tour Review: Ambush Airsoft in Chobham. Took me two weeks to knock this one out 😕 I am slipping.
-
Site Name: Ambush Airsoft Contact details: 07903880042 Website Address: https://www.ambushairsoft.co.uk Facebook Page: Ambush Airsoft | Facebook Site Address: Brick Kiln Farm, Old Lane, Ockham, Cobham, KT11 1NL Popped along on my lonesome to Ambush Airsoft on 16/05/2021. This is NOT the old Campaign site. Ambush recently gained the lease for the old Delta Paintball site that is across the road from Campaign. So the site is relatively new to the people running the day. Ambush Airsoft is your typical, if slightly overgrown ex paintball site. Multiple small zones separated out by fenced off paths. As it's a new site, there are no reviews so to speak out there, so figured getting one into the SE Tour would be a start. This is a small woodland site with some buildings, including the signature church and castle and a non running double decker bus. No real elevation so to speak, nor water features. Short/Medium engagement distance throughout. Good: Playing Area: Was the best part of the site, though I felt it was utilised poorly. There are a couple of well built large buildings including a two story church with pews and tower. There is also a small castle and village section. Some places are overgrown but added to the area in a positive area. There is a section with a gutted double decker bus surrounded by various obstacles. There is a large "Stockade" which is used for small and short games, which splits the field in half. Which was very well built. Value: Good value at £25 for the day including a free burger for lunch (I got two as they were going to be chucked out). Turn around time: Reasonably good turn around time, I was pretty knackered come the end and marshals kept putting on games despite chucking down cats and dogs all day. Chrono: Was good, everything was tested and marked. Usual 350 AEG/450 DMR/500 BASR. Chronoed on your own bb weight. Safe Zone: Large split safe zone with car park in the middle. All the tables and chairs were under cover. Very few players on the day so plenty of room. Average: Marshalling: Only one, sometimes two marshals throughout the day, the site has such small zones it's all that is required. Guy was friendly and took constructive criticism well. Could have changed the teams up a little bit. Safety Brief: Short and sweet. Covered everything. Usual Airsoft cringe gallows humour. Game Modes: Were fairly basic, mostly attack/defend games with a capture the flag game mode. Worked fine considering the small size of the zones. Car Park/Entrance: A long muddy driveway that got worse as the rain came down during the day. Follow the obvious path down. The entrance to the site is signposted. Car parking is adequate and right next o the safe zone. Toilets: Three portaloos. They all smelt pretty bad, probably didn't help with all the rain. Didn't dare go in! At least there are three of them! Food: Burger was included in the price which was good. Though I didn't inquire if there was an alternative. Nothing obvious though. Bad: Clientele: It wasn't "All" bad. But there were very few people turn up on the day. With so few people on your side, it only takes some people not playing for the objective and just muck about, to essentially lose the game before it even kicks off. I am all for having a laugh, but not at the teams expense. They were referencing and were clearly a fan of a Forum/Facebook Airsoft/Comedy/Authority celebrity. In fact they may even be a member here. Hit taking: Frankly awful, some of the worst I have personally experienced. A couple of instances of blatant cheating. I shot someone who I believe works at the site in the leg whilst I was hiding in the brush. BB Bounced off the leg, player flinched, looked down at their leg for a few seconds, brushed at it with their hand, then just kept shooting. As in the safety brief, even if you aren't 100% sure you got hit, take it anyway. It took me a couple of extra shots to get them to take the hit. Sadly the extra shots gave my position away to someone in the other direction. Another situation, CQB, ultra close range. I fired at someone through a doorway whilst they were looking the other way, bb bouncing off of their vest. They turned around and shot me, claimed that I dry fired. Note I shot with a GBBP. If I dry fired or ran out of ammo, the slide would have locked back. I showed them that, rattled off two more shots and then it locked back on empty. They still insisted I dry fired and carried on. Another situation, enemy player firing through a gap in the stockade wood that smaller then an A4 sized paper (Not allowed) I fired back at them, watching BB's pinging off them, guy clearly getting frustrated, maybe 10 or so landed without taking their hit. They fired back at me, I immediately took my hit and walked off. Complained to the marshal and the guy left early after one more round. The guy was a known regular. I was accidently killing my own team coming up the top of the stairs on the bus, even pointed out to the marshal. My own team weren't even calling their hits. No wonders the enemy team weren't either! Last game I played, last man standing, hiding behind a barrier. I knew the enemy was all around me, within 10-15 metres. I went full on rambo and let off at least 10 shots directly at multiple players before they realised where the fire was coming from, this was at a distance I couldn't miss. No kills whatsoever. A guy who was watching me who was already claimed I had hit at least 3 of them and couldn't believe they didn't call it. So really bad experience. Two people who I had chatted to throughout the day were independently complaining about how bad it was throughout the day and both left early and vowed not to return. Shop: Very little on offer. Didn't get a good look. Poor implementation: It's a new site, but it is obvious at least two of the 4 zones we played are too short for airsoft distances as the respawns were in range of each other. The wire fencing between zones has to be removed and just use the entire site at once. I hear that this will happen soon. Conclusion: A real struggle of a day and probably the worst day of Airsofting I have been to in some time. The playing area has good potential, but it would have taken so little effort to open up the zones into one big playing area. Hit taking and clientele were pretty bad. I probably wont be back, There are many other sites between myself and Chobham that do the same thing but better. Campaign, the site they used to own is still being run by the landlords at least once a month and from what I hear is a better site at time of writing. Bullpup Watch: Famas and SRS. Best Guess Map:

Check your BB loading latch and spring in the hop unit. If the spring or latch is missing/damaged/weak it means nothing is preventing the BBs from loading one at a time.

I have now given up on my order. UPS claim I refused the order, it's sat in a warehouse in Coventry for some reason. They asked me to ask Gunfire to start an investigation. I said that Gunfire started an investigation back in April. UPS claim Gunfire never started a claim. GF havent responded to my last 2 emails regarding an investigation. I have emailed Gunfire for a refund, if I don't receive it in the next couple of days, I will initiate a PP refund. -

Hello all. I put a new Maple Leaf Picatinny rail on my VSR. This one. Discontinued - Maple Leaf Horizontal Function Rail for VSR-10 | airsoft aeg gas blowback upgrade parts (wgcshop.com) However I am getting a lot of movement front and backwards and side to side on my Picatinny mounts. The bolts do not seem to be wide enough to fill the gap in-between each rail segment. Any ideas what scope rings/mounts I should use? I am currently using electrical tape to stop the wobble, but it's not a long term solution. Cheers. R

Just rang UPS, answered almost immediately. Got passed to another person, they are unsure why I have the status message I have got on my tracking; as there clearly hasn't been a delivery attempt. The customer rep has left a message for the depot to contact me within the next hour with reasons. -

Day 78: Parcel has been missing for 25 days since being released by Government agency. Have emailed UPS and Gunfire twice. No response from either. -
Anyone got any spare standard M4 (non rotary) hop arms they would part with? For standard nubs. The one that comes with the Tavor just works horrible due to its double nub design.

New Site Tryout This Weekend - Driver Wood V Dog Tag

Having been to both, I would say Dogtag is the better playing area and overall site. But Driver Wood isn't that bad either. -

Cribbs would be ideal. I'll be Schlepping on Public Transport so some places will be out of reach. I'll be staying in Coalpit Heath so I can probably reach Cribbs by 9AM without issue. I did hear about the Cambourne site. I will be around Penzance and Plymouth area, so maybe Big Mommas north of Plymouth and the mine from Penzance. -

The Cribbs Black ops? I have been to the Portishead one. Always an option. I am thinking of going more into Cornwall and Devon, though I should visit the folks in Bristol. -

Yes. I have only just ordered it. Bargain for the money. Shipping kills it a bit though! These are made by E&L using the previous gen gearbox. Motor seems to be a white end bell Neo. I had considered buying before. But mags are rare as hens teeth. Look Like they managed to get a few in though. My intention is to go full Zentico with a PT1 stock and side rail mount. As this is a top loader the rear sight trunnion lacks the folding stock locking pin. Not that they could lock in with a PT1 anyway due to the mag width. Just needs a quality barrel, mosfet and Hop rubber and should be a goer! I am planning on spending a couple of months away from London on my own in the summer so bringing this would be ideal to visit some sites. No need to take more then two mags, just need a belt and dump pouch and the rifle folds down into a bag easily. -

Site Name: Tilmanstone Works Contact details: N/A Website Address: (1) The Heresy Group - YouTube Facebook Page: The Heresy Group | Facebook Site Address: Tilmanstone Works Pike Rd, Eythorne, Dover, CT15 4ND A slightly different one this time around! I heard about The Heresy Groups "Ruckus 2.0" from a friend. THG hire out places that are not used as Airsoft sites on a regular basis, which introduces some interesting places. Coming into the Airsoft scene too late to enjoy UCAP Sandpit, I was quite eager to check out a full blown Quarry. The closest thing myself and @Albiscuithave played at being Imperium which has some Quarry sections. Tilmanstone Works is a largish outdoor site, most of which is an active Quarry, interspersed by Quarry hardware (Stone blocks, shipping containers, rusted out vehicles. There is plenty of elevation as well as a small valley of woodland vegetation. There are some very open areas, but there are always sections you can move through with more cover. The elevation itself can be used as cover. There are sections for short, medium and long distance engagements. So myself Albiscuit and 4 others decided to make our way on a sunny if windy day on 25/05/2021. Good: Playing Area: Very very good. We had reservations about the site being too open and somewhat boring, but were completely unfounded. An active quarry is both somewhat bleak, exposed and interesting at the same time. As mentioned in the intro, there is lots of elevation that can be used to both expose the opposing team, but also hide behind. There are lots of ditches, some woodland outcrops, concrete barriers, shipping containers and vehicles to hide behind. But in some areas it's open warfare with expanses of flat ground. If you are relatively fit, you can take advantage of the more esoteric approaches which can be ankle breaking if you're not careful, but can be utterly rewarding. Clientele: There was a large turnout, no problems with the clientele, heard very little to no grumbling throughout the day. A sense of comradery and people who were just happy to play something as unique as this place . Hit taking: Was very good. No complaints heard. Turn around time: There was little in the way of breaks. There were 4 different games and lunch. We didn't feel short changed. Marshalling: Very good, plenty of people around who encouraged people to get back out there from the spawn points. Safety Brief: Perfectly fine, covered everything, they had a physical representation of the blast radius of pyro which was helpful. There were no noobies for the day, so it was tailored towards experienced players. Chrono: Everyone's primaries were chronoed at the beginning of the day. 370 FPS for AEGs, 450 FPS for DMR and 500 FPS for BAR's. The players own BB weight for the day was used and rifles tagged. Value: £30, for something as unique as it is, I felt it was good value. Car Park/Entrance: Directions were easy to follow. The gates shut at 9:30, and there was a reception at the gate to take the money and sign in. The Car Park was based inside earth mounds with an auxiliary car park just outside that was more open to the elements. Shop: Multiple shops were on site including CamoRaids, Valkyrie BB's and a night vision for hire stand (Despite it not being a night game), it's more for promotion purposes. Raffle: Everyone likes a raffle, there was a free one for everyone as part of your entry fee. Two of the six of us even managed to win! Average: Game Modes/Brief: Not the typical attack and defend. There was a capture the flag game and a VIP game. There was a free for all at the end of the day, stages with the winners moving into the finals. It would have been good to know that we needed mobile phones to take photos of the VIP with other players on your team before we went out to the spawn point. I felt this sort of game is better suited to CQB sites like the Mall rather then something at an outdoor quarry. Bad: Safe Zone: It's not a true site, so there is no cover and everyone sets up from their cars. Toilets: No on-site facilities; was recommended to bring Wet Wipes ahead of time. Food: No food on-site; was recommended to bring our own ahead of time. COVID awareness: I didn't hear much if anything mentioned about social distancing or COVID awareness. There was no mask wearing in the safe zone. Also there was no pre-booking, so no control over numbers that could show up. Conclusion: We loved the day. We were very surprised in how good the playing area was and was utterly refreshing to play at over the usual outdoor site. We wish this was a proper full blown regular site and may be one we visit often despite the distance. We heard one guy had travelled all the way from Lincolnshire to play! A word of warning, you wont be washing your clothes after the day as much as beating them with a broom to get the dust out! We cant wait for Ruckus 3.0 and hope it will align with our schedules! What would be a great addition would be working Technical/Vehicles, if this could happen it would be amazing. The Heresy Group have run a very successful day despite the high winds and can be proud of themselves from that perspective. Very little has to improve if this continues to be a once in a while skirmish. Though having a pre-booking system in times of Covid would make me feel much better for turning up. Bullpup Watch: Very few; an SVU... I don't remember much else. Very little variance from M4 styles. Best Guess Map:
