  2. Hi all, so I’m just after some advice on mag compatibility with the TM hi capa 5.1s

I brought some vorsk mags the other day as patrol base said they were compatible with the TM but they completely snapped my nozzle and nozzle return spring on the first shot, since im having trouble finding any tm mags what have other people used that work well?

im A bit nervous to try the vorsk mags again incase the same thing happens again 😂

  3. @SSPKali thanks bro, I find the Kit I’ve got works real well together in practice so far, the WAS pouches aren’t amazing so I wanna upgrade to maybe some HSGI stuff or maybe some Haley pouches but other than that I’m pretty happy, same here with the 5.11 jeans, I’ve got about 5 pairs and they’re not only great for Airsoft but they’re great for EDC kit too In daily life

tbh I find the flat pack quite useful for spare Mk5s and speed loaders when I haven’t got enough room in the SACK, I occasionally go with a few buddies so I can rely on them to grab stuff for me if needed

oh no way you play at UCAP too? I might see you on the field then 😁

I changed the battery on mine , way I look at it if my watch is deep enough underwater that it can get in it then I’m in deep shit and my watch leaking is the least of my worries ? 😳☠️⚰️🪦😉

That is a very good point 😂😂 I might try have a go at it myself then, you may have just persuaded me 😂😂

Real operators wear these bad boys.  I'm told the guy that slotted OBL rocks one of these.

Oh damn, Nahh that’s too hardcore for me, only tier 1 operators can wear those 😂

I wish 😂😂 that’s on my EDC grail list 😂

From experience - nothing that's expensive to fix.

That said I've a rescue edition G-Shock in the drawer that needs a new battery, maybe that'll be my Airsoft watch 🤔

I’ve got a mud master in the drawer that needs a battery but idk if I trust myself to seal it all back up afterwards 😅

I wear a basic Casio G-shock that cost me 23quid from an outlet shop at my local McArthur Glen , only difference for airsofting to ‘normal’ use is I wear it face in not out to minimize the chances of the lens taking a hit .

I actually always wear my watches face in, I find it easier and more comfy 😁 especially on the bigger G-Shocks 😁

Just any cheap piece of crap. Sods law dictates that wearing an expensive watch to play airsoft will result in the glass being shot out

Yeahh I must admit that’s not the first time that’s happened, I wore my Apple Watch to work and the strap ended up splitting in half sending it about 30 feet down a valve pit to never be seen again 😂

I'm also into my watches and I can't not wear one, even for airsoft, just feels weird  - so I just wear a very old Timex Expedition that I don't mind it getting beaten up further.  I'd like to wear my Victorinox INOX, as that's literally bomb proof and more than fit for purpose, but don't want to fuck that up, weird isn't it haha.

So maybe another G-Shock, or the good ol' F91W if you're into your digitals.

Or, a G10 military watch, if you want the military aesthetic with some genuine military background - MWC will do you a solid example for about £70

Oh and stick it on a NATO!

I actually really like the MWC watches and I’ve had one on my list for a while now but never pulled the trigger, might be tempted to grab one 😁

  8. Hi all, so I fancy a watch specifically for Airsoft but not sure what, I’ve got various brand watches that I rotate weekly along with my EDC (5.11, g-shocks, etc) but I fancy something I can keep just for Airsoft, any recommendations?

  9. Hi all, so I think I’m set on my next build, I run a tm mws at both indoor and outdoor fields however I’m always switching between bolts and gas to increase and reduce my FPS so I’m thinking of making my current MWS a primarily outdoor rifle then build a new MWS as a purely indoor CQB MWS with arp style furniture and 5 inch barrel/7 inch rail, what do you all think? Has anyone done something similar? 😁

  10. Well I didn’t expect the amount of replies that this thread has amassed but I appreciate all of your replies, people have made good points about both sides of the argument of training and not training but for me training is something that would benefit my play style, I’m more of a slow and steady at times and then full force room clearance kinda guy, and as I run a GBBR I don’t want to be running around fast boi style and fire 300 rounds at walls and barrels 😂, I have to make my shots count and I feel the training would really benefit this and give some good insight on playing a better game for myself.

Room clearing drill: pull, throw.  Frag self, get mediced, repeat.

Dynatex Grenade (Timed .209 ) - UK Airsoft

The issue I have with these courses is: who's training you, and are they training you to play airsoft against rental chavs, or to murderise insurgents up a treat (and then you get rinsed by rental chavs).

I've seen a few of these advertised on Failbook, typically promoted as being run by an ex-Delta Special Ranger SAS Force Operator.  When I've asked how they've established said person's bona fides to be sure that they're not just some grifting Walt, it's been crickets, blocking, or the claim suddenly alters.

I like how you put the frag self, get mediced, repeat real small 😂😂 I do have a 9mm oshiboom grenade which works wonders and I already do the pieing on doorways etc but I just love even if not used completely in Airsoft learning and trying to implement a more realistic play style, I just have more fun that way 😅😂

but aye I do agree that there’s a lot of those kinda people on Facebook hence asking on the forum to try avoid them all 😂

I've attended a few pistol drill/CQB "courses" when FCS were about at in Lewisham, many years ago now.  If anything, it was a laugh!

That’s the thing mate, if all else fails it’ll be a good craic and a good laugh 😁😂

I did a training day at Strikeforce in Gloucester put on by the ITAS guys (search for them on Instagram) that covered CQB techniques specifically tailored to airsoft as direct transposition of military tactics doesn’t work.

Was a busy day but ratio of 3:1 students to instructors and a final kill house scenario made it well worth the £80.

That’s ace, do you know if they still run it? I’m only 35 mins away from strike force

If you're not playing as a team then you'll learn about as much that's useful on You Tube.

Room clearing drills and tactics are all about teamwork, on your own, once you've learnt the basics of the fatal funnel and pieing corners you're pretty much covered.

I play alone quite a lot but every now and again I go with a few buddies, I’d ideally like to do the course with a mate or two so we can all learn the drills and be more fluent when it comes to playing as a team

Names Nicco is worth watching on YouTube. He has an army background and seems to have a lot of experience in CQB.

I like the guy but I'm sure someone will be along soon enough to bash him.

He's obviously not the only person on YouTube you could watch but from watching his videos I've learnt about pieing corners and swapping from high to low when engaging them baddies. Probably simple stuff but it feels more 2nd nature now I'm actively trying to do it more!

I think camp Sparta run training days but I haven't got a clue what that entails and as has been said already, not much point if your rolling solo!

I’ve watched a few of his vids but I’m Not a massive fan of his, I’ll check out camp Sparta and see what’s what

I seem to recall Legion Airsoft have done some training events in the past but I'm not seeing any more scheduled.

UFPro on YouTube have some pretty decent videos too

I’ve actually watched all of the UF PRO videos, that’s originally what got me wanting to learn more CQB tactics 😂😁

  14. Hi all, so I’ve been looking around on the Google’s and not had much luck 😂 I’m after a training course in the uk to better my CQB skills and learn proper tactics on room clearing etc, i know a lot of people don’t think these kinds of things are very good for Airsoft but personally I love the tactics side of things and love learning new techniques 😁 any info would be awesome 😁
