Valkyrie Olight PL2 is probably the answer lol

Steveocee got a reaction from Tackle in Compressor or hand pump
The question I'd ask is, can you take a compressor to and run it at site? Probably not. A 48Ci steely like most of us buy needs to be topped up several times throughout the day.
You would be far better off spending the same money on a decent air rifle type cylinder and then paying £5 every 3-4 games to get it filled by someone with a multi thousand pounds compressor than trying to jerry rig a noisy and dangerous unit at site.

That's bloody awful even for an Umarex.

Did someone mention dropstocks?....😜
As a paintball goggle wearer myself, half my guns now sport drop-stock adapters that I designed and 3D printed.
I know some people hate 'em, but they are very practical.
The SSG1 is pretty expensive for what you get and it's very much intended for Speedsoft/CQB play. That's not to say it won't perform just fine at woodland distances, but a DMR platform it is not.

Steveocee got a reaction from Rogerborg in g&g mosfet burnt out
If you're blowing fuses that's not blowing the mosfet, the fuse is protecting the mosfet.
The wires going into your stock mosfet though are battery + and - and then the white plug is the data cable to your trigger contacts. The devil in me says to look at swapping in a Perun ETU++, they're inexpensive, give more functionality and a 3 year old could install one but I'd probably be doing you an injustice as a fuse blows for a reason and you probably need to resolve that first.

Not to hand but I got them from Amazon if it helps?

Much like OFCOM then they wouldn't see it coming 😄

I’m clearly not in the right groups! I hope they actually dispatch HCH’s allocation this week. Got a crap week work-wise and it’s always amazing to have something just on the horizon like a shiny slide-shaped carrot on a stick

I do like the look of the Hayley rig. Wish I could justify the price for the amount of use it's going to get as I'm not able to play as much as I used to few years ago. Might look into it further if the Arktis turns out to be not so great.
That's a good shout too.
Thank you all for the great suggestions. Really appreciate it!
Looks a bit tight to me when he puts the M4 magazines in. Reminds me of the PC when I had to stuff two magazines into one pouch and sometimes struggled to get them back in or even out. Hopefully the Arktis proves me otherwise.
yeah. some of the rigs can be overpriced and in the end not worth the money you pay. That's why I mostly turn towards stuff that is used by the military. Not for the wannabe soldier looks, but for the durability. And some surplus can be bought at very good prices and last you ages. Might not be the most comfortable and lightweight kit, but certainly can last and stand the wear and tear.

Steveocee got a reaction from baku911 in Chest Rig Recommendations
I run a 1 Tigris Placard system, very small chest rig, 3 m4 mags on my chest, a viper dangler on the bottom of it holding another and then 1 in the gun. I run that when running my normal battle rifle setup, same again but with a belt and pistol if I'm on the DMR and the same chest rig again if using my hpa pistol.
Really nice build quality and not overly priced.

Oh yeah. SS Airsoft have factory images on their website, the ones AM use to advertise with and I think it's battle flair are receiving stock this week.
Ours should be shipped soon 😁

Steveocee got a reaction from EDcase in PMR frequency questions
That's like saying you have a driving license so it's fine to go everywhere at 100.
Try this for the frequencies though. Gives the PMR you shoudl be using and the CTCS subs as well (don't use them as they're pointless)

Steveocee got a reaction from djben9 in Boafeng Uvr5 - Any good???
Yeah sort of.
You get alloted 7 or 9 frequencies to use and then it's fight over them as the chance of people using those is significantly lower than the PMR stuff.
You do get individual frequencies though if you register as a site as the spectrum is then allocated on your location (assumed the site isn't moving) but the "light" license a lot of the groups use is this self coordination stuff.

Steveocee got a reaction from djben9 in Boafeng Uvr5 - Any good???
Mine work absolutely fantastic. I do however own an OFCOM license to use them on dedicated frequencies so I can sneer at the peasants who don't.

Steveocee got a reaction from Havoc in No UKARA can i paint a camo?
Absolutely not, it's impossible. Your gun knows you don't have a license so the paint just drips right off like water off a ducks back!

Steveocee got a reaction from BigStew in Sceptical about range of rifle claimed
My opinion personally is very rarely does anyone shift on a "good" and working gun. I appreciate there are hard times etc but a DMR is much like a bolt action sniper, usually get thrown together, don't work properly and the owner claims it's the best thing since sliced bread.
