Thanks. It's to imitate armoury numbers and identify my own kit. It's the last 3 digits of my old service number (no longer serving).

My G&G sr-l
Shame it's two tone, but it performs well! Upgraded to a prowin hop unit, but apart from that, its stock (obviously not externally)
1x1 replica walther Chinese clone, 3x magnifier, AFG, G&P rail covers, (kings arms???) 120rnd mid caps, sound amp.
Edit: Now has a 6.03mm Tightbore barrel and is r hopped, even better!

KiwiBanany reacted to Happy in The 'What have you just bought' Thread
Thanks for the heads up. Most of my guns don't stay stock for long so it shouldn't be too much of a hassle (for me) to get it shooting beautifully. -

Should hop up be turned completely off after every game? Or can it be left where you want it?

KiwiBanany reacted to Jedi_Master in Bullpup rifle for a starter?
Magazine changes are no more difficult with a bullpup rifle, it is just a matter of getting used to them. If the RAF can be taught to use the L85 then anyone can; an AR15 style gun may be simpler because it was designed for Americans

KiwiBanany reacted to Sitting Duck in Two tone rifles in Green?
Guns guns guns guns - where to begin.......
main choices - there are more but the main choices and MY pro's con's
M4
easy to use, ergonomic, mags and other bits easy to get 300 to 450 hi caps
but
blow me not another M4 especially with white CM that G&G put on their Combat Machines
G36c - good little all rounder, ambidextrous selector switch (lefties & peeking left etc) higher mags 470
can't comment on cons coz not used mine as a tad hot until I tweak/break it
AK's
often the airsoft version can kick many a similar M4's ar$e, higher mags 500 world's most famous gun
but
damn it - I just can't seem to love the fire select - I just fumble my way - think undoing a bra one handed is easier
(not that I wear them that much)
MP5's - hmmmm me personally not a great fan but only got mp5k's (cheap nasty ones at that)
its the mags that put me off but many on here love them
other odd/special/unique guns/less common guns - L85, Tar, ARX160, G3 etc...
always check out mags, parts & reviews first before buying
often a fair amount of people stick with more common guns
the novelty may wear off, they think nah I like my old ak/m4 etc.....
G&G are the Fords of airsoft M4's - bloomin' everybody has got one
luckily they do a very extensive range but still common as muck
still they sell $hitloads of them so they can't be complete piles of $hit
They ain't perfect but a very good starter gun - not an unwise purchase at all
G&G's starter range is the Combat Machine - with white CM on side of the polymer receiver - good polymer receiver imho
30th edition is metal/partly metal and has a subtle 30th on receiver
avoid a blow-back model - just more $hit to go wrong imho, normal G&G M4 starter will do ya
M4 Carbine 357mm or 300mm comando/lite version
Raider - long 357mm or short 233mm
GC16 - 330mm barrel
CM18 - 275MM (i think)
oh sod it - look here for the range
http://guay2.com/web/airsoft_gc.php?lang=en#aeg_banner
ICS are also very very nice - see firesupport.co.uk for ICS guns
JG & Cyma do great starters too mainly JG for G36 & Cyma for AK's

Welcome!
I used to play at AWA when I first started (2010!), but since I'm in Rickmansworth it was more convenient to go for a ten minute drive to Red 1 airsoft, rather than an hours drive. I've been meaning to go back to AWA at some point though.
Maybe see you around!
PS: Nice gun

Hey! I've been airsofting 4 times now - twice with a rental, twice with my G&G SR-L (Which i love, but is two-tone )
I just wanted to say 'Hello' to anyone who lives/plays in my area, and look forward to playing with them! I am only 16, hence the two-tone gun, but please don't judge! (although i know you lot are a accepting and lovable bunch anyway ) I'm so far really enjoying the sport and can't wait for the games in the new year!
See you on the field, i'll try not to shoot you too much!

Best bargin, Blackhawk single point sling brand new in box, 99p with £4.50 postage, realised he lived near me sent an email asked if I could collect, yes I could, gave him a £1 and said he could keep the change.
My mrs said I wasn't a true yorkshire man otherwise I would have asked for the 1p change

I went there on Monday for an £8 pair of glasses and they spent 45 min to an hour just talking me through the different types of weapons, makes and set-ups, I was really impressed and very happy this I'm my nears retailer.

KiwiBanany reacted to Taxman22 in The new G&G GC16 range
Good shout I3666 I am also trying to work out what the difference is between the range as there are alot of simillar models but different prices with different models but no description of what makes them different. Tough for a newbie to workout what to buy!!

Just so you know, i have no racist ideologies and only like the look and style of the uniform and am in no way promoting racial hatred.

KiwiBanany reacted to proffrink in Help with extending the length of my barrel!
Yeh, TM hop windows are basically universal amongst AEGs at this point so just pick the size that you want. Certainly the G&G will accept TM-spec barrels.
Remember you will need to pay VAT and Parcelforce's stupid service charge. Not duty though as that only kicks in over £150 or something(?). So you're looking at £8 + 20% of your item ontop of what you pay, but PDI barrels are basically the best out there so it's worth it.
