Jacob Wright got a reaction from Druid799 in Gun picture thread
I do … I might wait until it warms up a bit as I have no indoor ventilated and dry space to do it at the moment though.
This is the paint job I did on my other M4, after about 3 years of wear and I’m pretty happy with it, so I’m thinking of going along the same lines.

New optic arrived, so now as it’s stands!
Mk18 Mod 1 NGRS with LBX M81 sling, Magpul RVG, Inforce WML (Repro until my genuine one arrives), and Theta Optics EoTech clone.
Still deciding whether or not to paint it, but have a feeling I’m just going to leave it how it is. The only thing I might add at this point is a PEQ or DBAL.

Jacob Wright reacted to Rogerborg in No refund because it’s a “gun”?
I would fully expect it. They're a Californian company, and will be crawling with purple-haired social justice warriors.
AUP:
https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/ua/acceptableuse-full?&locale.x=en_US
"You may not use the PayPal service for activities that [...] relate to transactions involving [...] firearms"
Federal law suggests that they're not firearms for the purposes of the Gun Control Act of 1968, 18 U.S.C. Section 921(a)(3): “(A) any weapon (including a starter gun), which will, or is designed to or may readily be converted to expel a projectile by the action of an explosive; (B) the frame or receiver of any such weapon"
California, well, here are the penal code references if you really want to put in the time to argue the case.

I'd just fix it up and get on with your life.

Jacob Wright reacted to Argyld in THE TM MWS thread
I got my MWS some time ago, must have been a freshly hatched one, was quite small ...
Read all 228 pages here (yes really) and found nothing about small MWS (except for some guys rebuilding theirs into short ones)
Didn't want to send it back, so tried something:
IT WORKED (insert evil scientist laugh )
(don't know why picture is upside down)
Asking permission to join this exclusive club.
Had not thetime to go out and play yet, but while reading this thread the MWS has quite grown on me 😁 (ok ok, I'll let myself out)

A3 front on the WE L85, really liking the difference it makes to the look and the feel of the gun. Also like the fact that being green it keeps the classic L85 colour scheme.

Another fun day at Special Ops. Might be the last of the year for me though which makes me sad....
Some really enjoyable flanking moves to pop a few people from behind... and a couple of "oh shit" moments in point-blank encounters
The photographers never seem to get me running around. Probably because I can't do much with these arthritic knees and spaghettified ankles Slow and sneaky my preferred method of attack
DE M906C performing great through the day, so the AK still didn't get to strut its stuff.
Edit: Ooh, found an 'action' shot, here's me doing a semi-panicked tactical reload out of my fast mag pouches

Jacob Wright reacted to Ebeneezer Goode in Everyday items that are good for airsoft
Some more handy everyday stuff...
Hoodies, for warmth and head protection.
Parka jacket, as above, plus mag storage. Nice cold Wx/minimalist loadout.
Joggers or hillwalking trousers, handy for basic loadouts.
Anything Goretex, for those days where it just pishes it doon.
Summer motorcycle gloves, plenty protection and yet dexterous enough for games.
Balaclava, for warmth and a modicum of minimal protection against headshots.
Bum bags, for the ultimate minimalist loadout.
First Aid kit... say no more!
Anything OD/Jack Pyke/Fishing/Outdoor gear etc for effective camo. Shirts, hoodie, trousers, jackets etc.
Waterproof walking boots - a must at woodland venues.
Vicks/Olbas for the winter months.

Jacob Wright reacted to Tactical Pith Helmet in Berget 18
Here we go Jacob. Straight from the pferd's mund as it were. I received this from the German Customs Directorate.
'...travellers from the UK to Germany or through Germany required a weapons permit issued by the locally competent weapons authority. This is usually the authority locally competent for the area where the hunters or shooters stay in Germany or - if the transit only - where they enter Germany. There are no simplifications applicable in such a case.
From a customs point of view this is a temporary import, provided the goods (firearms) leave the EU again. There are no import fees on that. An oral declaration to customs is sufficient.
Here you can find a list with weapons authorities in Germany:'
https://www.nwr-fl.de/liste-der-waffenbehoerden-seite.html
I discussed my travel plans with Mrs Pith Helmet. She is of the opinion that Berget is likely to be extortionate to attend. She has attempted cheap(ish) road travel in Sweden previously and recommended Border War in Czech Republic as an alternative if driving.
It does occur to me that there must be plenty of milsims in Europe. Attending as a group may be a lot of fun. There are plenty of Polish and Portuguese players at my local site. Attending a game as a British team with local interpreter might be something to attend.

Jacob Wright got a reaction from Wavey_Gravey in Load-Out / Loadout Picture topic
Quick loadout update! This is pretty much my go-to now, instead of just using it for woodland and a plate carrier for CQB.
Up top is my stock TM Mk18 Mod 1 which normally has an Inforce WML, and two point M81 woodland LBX sling.
Secondary is the TM Glock 19 with repro X300 and Blackhawk lanyard. Spare magazines in a Blackhawk belt mounted plastic pouch. Holster is a Safariland.
Arktis chest rig carries 6 primary magazines, normally a speed loader and comms gear if we’re using it.
Bum bag for pyro and bucket hat for style.

Jacob Wright reacted to Skara in The 'How Did Your Airsoft Day Go? Thread
Yesterday two kids got lost in the woods (very thick vegetation, especially in that area with trees so low you have to actually crawl underneath and you have no reference points to look at and track, it was also their first time in that particular part of the field).
Now, we know the field like the back of our hands and finding them was easy, but why the fuck did you decide to NOT backtrack and instead you picked a completely random direction?
Also, when people shout your name, why the fuck wouldn't you answer back?
When confronted, one of them kept bitching because "he knew where they were" which was obviously false, if they knew where they were, they wouldn't have had to be rescued lol.

You can convert a ‘normal’ one to fit a TM recoil , basically you have Make the inside bigger by Dremeling the shit out of it so it’ll fit over the TM gearbox .
