Like I said - didn't realise there's a specific group of collectors for them, fair enough!
-
I've done a quick Google and as expected they're a discontinued product. Have you ever tried loading them to confirm that they only hold 30 BB's? The newer PTS G36 Enhanced Polymer Magazines (EPMs) sell for anywhere between £22-27 each. Aside from the fact they're Magpul branded and discontinued I don't think I'd value them at any more than £10-15 each, but happy to be proven wrong if there's a specific market for or collector of them!

Tokyo Marui M40A5 Sniper Rifle feed problem
Jacob Wright replied to JRMS's topic in Single Action Guns
I've never had an issue where the magazines have been so loose as not to feed! Did you get anywhere ref trying to remedy these issues? -

It’s not even got a Guarder frame and slide on it ? -

I think that's what I'll end up doing, now the connectors have arrived though at least I'll be able to knock something up to test it with my existing batteries. -

Yeah I’ve got a load of MR30 connectors on the way, I’m reluctant to swap them over on my batteries though as then I’ll be stuck being unable to use them on my other rifles, so I’ll probably just make up a different adapter. -

Saw the MP5 with Wolf Armouries for a reasonable price, so took the plunge and it arrived today ? First impressions really good, amazing build quality as expected, although I'll have to wait a while to try it because I have no Tamiya wired batteries ? -
Recommendation for affordable Headset
Jacob Wright replied to ParHunter's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
From the sounds of what you’re looking for, I’d say Earmors are the least of what you’d want. Depends how much you value your hearing but I don’t think I’d trust a £20-30 headset. -
As and when I’ve got the spare cash I may consider getting a couple, but for now I’m happy with the performance of the UV5-Rs.
-
I don’t have one but considered it same as you did - from a friend who does have one they don’t differ performance wise, but will give you the larger ‘152-style’ radio to stick in a pouch ??

Loaded up my Plat Peacekeeper with 8 magazines, some Mk5’s and a speedloader - once I’d tightened up the straps (lost some weight) it sat really comfortably at didn’t slide around at all. Definitely worth the money and I’d happily recommend one to anybody. Was achieving first time hits with the A1 out to about 60m, and with a bit of elevation even some out to 75m. Really happy with the rifle, but having a 16” barrel it’s not ideal for CQB. I could just take the barrel extension off .. or sell the MK18 and replace with an MP5? ? Was thinking of building a battle belt for a couple of extra rifle magazine etc, but the one I’ve got just didn’t sit well with the chest rig so I’ll probably sack that plan off.

The 'How Did Your Airsoft Day Go? Thread
Jacob Wright replied to Skara's topic in General Discussion
Great day at Combat Airsoft Thetford today, was meant to be a battlesim but low numbers meant they changed it to a skirmish day. We felt the day ran really well, with far fewer stalemates and choke points than usual due to the low numbers. It was also great to see loads of rental players, especially quite a few who were airsofting for the first time. Finally got to field my NGRS A1 build as well which I’m really happy with ? -
Wish you a speedy recovery ?? welcome to the forum ?

Yes if it's the same as mine then it's got the hop-up adjustment via a lever. Seemed solid to me but I guess if you're fiddling with a lot it'll weaken.
-
As far as I know it’s just a rebranded Classic Army. So it’ll probably be reasonably reliable but don’t expect anything special. I used to have one and it was perfect for CQB, useable in woodland games but you’ll be outranged by anything other than a stock AEG. Fairly well compatible with upgrade parts etc.

The 'What have you just bought' Thread

Ah fair enough, I think I've heard that the quality isn't great and some have been known to fall apart. But like you say, which product doesn't have mixed reviews! Ditto on the hearing front.. my only concern is losing the ability to hear what's going on around me so it would be interesting to know about how they are with ambient noise. -

I’ve heard mixed reviews about the Earmors but keep looking at them, let me know what you think of them! -
There’s a question ? a Peli 1700 I think?

If you'd like to drop me an email at [email protected], or a PM here then I'll have a word with one of our registrars who I believe has dealt with similar cases in the past ??

I can see the release date for the A4 was today - anyone got any leads on preorders or where might have them in?
-
Cracked on with the foam this afternoon .. didn’t consider that the bottom of the case isn’t flat sided so I’m having to chamfer the edges of it ?

For a while I went once a fortnight, but reached a point where I didn’t enjoy it to the point it became almost a chore. For the last few years I’ve been going max once a month (often less) and found I look forward to it a lot more!

More ShadowFoam arrived! Just have to figure out how best to cut it so that I can fit both rifles and the Glock in there! -
