New shadow foam so that I can fit both rifles into my Peli case, Maple Leaf hop rubber and nub to see how they run in the recoil MK18 .. and I think that’s it actually.

Try to get out once a month with my team, with a 24h Milsim at some point during the year. Tend to take a month off in the summer so 10/12 games a year I guess. However, this year has been full of weddings and other events so we’ve not actually got to a game day together since April ?

As expected really - the A4 is a natural progression and so is the 17 Gen 5. Would’ve been nice to see something wild and new, next year maybe? ?

It’s a fair point, I’m a fan of the Mk16 rail over anything else as well.

Had an amazing time at the Stirling Airsoft 36 hour milsim event this last weekend. Think I got about 5 hours sleep in total, didn't stop doing various taskings including close target recces, attacking the patrol base and ambushing vehicle convoys. Glad I made it my annual weekender!! If anyone wants a full on rural milsim event then I can't recommend one run by Stirling enough, more than happy to do a full write up but probably not that different to the one I've done previously. Platatac chest rig ran exactly as I hoped it would and was perfect for the event - really happy with the purchase

Ahh right okay fair enough. Maybe the new magazines need breaking in a bit - insert and remove a number of times and see if that helps?

So once again I guess the take away point here is - don't do something you're not trained and competent in, otherwise try and do the basics to the best of your ability (plasters, reassurance, get help, get out of the way).

If it's brand new and doesn't feed, I'd be more inclined to return them as?faulty than try and fix it myself. Are the 2 magazines you purchased identical to the one that came with the rifle?

Some great replies here, and honestly I didn’t expect this much! I guess the take away message is: carry the basics, but be trained in it. As I’m an Ambulance Tech I carry a trauma kit with dressing, CAT tourniquet, gloves and pulse ox on my vest, with a standard FAK on my belt. Would 100% advise people to get trained, I’ve been in too many situations at work and elsewhere where literally having the basics could have made so much more difference. Get training, be fit peeps.

Following on from a conversation with some players, just thought I'd see what people are carrying in the way of first aid kits at game days? Do you carry one or just leave it to the site? Does anyone carry more than a first aid kit?

Out on the game zone at Combat Airsoft Thetford a couple of years back and I loaded my RIF and blatted some shots off before the marshals had told us we could. I assumed because we were in the game zone people would have eyepro on, but fair play to the marshals they do a final check on everyone once they pass a certain flag. I was immediately escorted back to the safe zone and removed from site. And I'll tell you now, I'll never do it again!

Following with interest as I’m on the fence between a TM MP7 and an MWS. Had a pair of GBBR WE G36’s years ago and they were a lot of fun, but the parts support wasn’t there and even with an NPAS fitted I couldn’t seem to get the fps below 400 ? The only thing stopped me atm is having to buy new magazines, just managed to streamline my collection to exclusively NGRS which has saved on having to have loads of different magazines! That said, one of the guys on my team has an MWS and absolutely loves it.

I like it! Might not be perfect up close but I’d say it probably helps the RIF blend in at a distance ?? Good job!

Not played there for a little bit but never had a bad game there ?? Great site and the marshals are spot on as well.

I've done it! It's finally finished (for now ?). Fitted the storm grip and dremeled the life out of the rail and outer barrel to be able to fit a crane stock LiPo into tithes morning. Also had to cut down the front wire and re-solder a deans onto it - not pretty but the heat shrink hides it!

Definitely a WE. Had one as my first GBB pistol many years ago, eventually shook itself apart ?
