  1. Modified the foam in the case slightly so that the MP5 fits in now that I've moved on one of the M4's. Looking forward to getting out again at the end of the month
  2. Yes their wording can be quite heavy. Unfortunately, nothing seems to move quickly as far as BF are concerned. I’m sorry to hear this has put you off taking up other shooting sports, hopefully your future experiences are less painful!
  3. As a UKAPU Rep - we’re starting to see more of these seizures where retailers mark the RIFs as having fps over 1J. We are aware of it, and we are pushing Border Force for explanations around the investigation of each seizure.
  4. Is there some sort of notion with the Airsoft gods that as soon as you buy a new RIF your car breaks? 😂😂

Yep.  Found the rifle of a lifetime and my clutch burnt out the same day...

Nightmare! I bought the MP5 a month ago, and now my car needs 2 new high pressure injectors 🙃

  5. I'd say that the key here is - work out what you carry at a typical gameday, and then build your load carrying gear around that. The OP mentioned a battle belt, so yes a solution that works around it - they've already hinted that some of the larger, bulkier carriers will get in the way of this. I started off with just a belt rig, then went to a plate carrier. As a predominantly midcap user, I found that it was easy to overload and then wouldn't be comfortable, as well as stopping me from going prone. I think over the course of about 18 months I switched between, belt, belt + vest, vest + no belt, webbing, SADF chest rig + belt, PLCE assault vest, Arktis chest rig, and now finally I'm on a Platatac Peacekeeper chest rig. You're unlikely to find a load carrying solution to suit every event, or one that works really well for someone else and works for you likewise. If you've got mates with different gear then ask if you can see what their kit is like, or if you don't mind a bit of trial and error then maybe go for a chest rig as people have suggested and see if it works - if not then try and return or sell it on (or hoard it like I do).
  6. Had a great day at Gunman Tuddenham on Sunday, which will probably be our final outing for the year 🎄 Played a nice mixture of attack and defence skirmish games, through the forest village and concrete hut areas. We felt that the amount of cover available to the attackers had increased since we last played here which was nice to see. I'm not the biggest fan of CQB but forgot how much fun it is creeping about the concrete huts taking advantage of the lines of sight through multiple buildings! We didn't experience any non hit taking, and there were lots of calls of a good nature 'nice shot' etc... , but the marshals did pull everyone in for a moan after one of the village games so maybe there was some in another area. The only downside was having to scrape my car in the morning, and the sole battery for my MP5 dying in the last 10 minutes so not much of a point walking back and grabbing my other rifle - will by another battery before next time!
  7. It's actually quite a visually noticeable difference isn't it! If you're handy with a tool, maybe take a bit of material off the tops of magazines 2 and 3 to match 1 on the Left?
  8. Yeah comes wired to an MR30 as standard - I’m assuming to allow the ECU to monitor the battery level? Gave up making a connector due to my shite soldering, the Eagle 6 one has been spot on.
  9. Ran the MP5 for the first time yesterday at Tuddenham, really happy with it 😁 The magazines sat really nicely in the Peacekeeper, I did consider sticking an Esstac 9mm Kywi on the rig to hold them more securely but don’t think I’ll need to.
  10. Through the door today were my M81 notch cap courtesy of Tactical Kit, and a Silva expedition 4 compass. Wish the compass had arrived yesterday when we tackled Pen-y-Fan in the fog but oh well 😂
  11. Yeah sounds like the magazine isn't seating properly. When you apply pressure to the base of the magazine can you feel it move it all, is there any play in it?
  12. Cheers 👍🏼 can’t decide between that or a Surefire style handguard.
  13. That surprises me, I wouldn’t have thought the Knights would have that much room inside it. Where did you source yours from?
  14. Best wishes for your recovery and I hope you can get back up and on your feet soon!
  15. Glad you’re getting on with the slingster 👍🏼 really happy with mine.
  16. Lucky that it’s just a connector then! Cheers, made that mistake before and won’t do it again 👍🏼
  17. That may be it, I didn’t use any flux and even though I pre-tinned the connectors and wire they would just slide off after I attempted to solder them on. I’ll get some flux and attempt to modify the supplied adapter maybe.
  18. I should add though, it did actually work for a short period and only failed due to my shoddy soldering. Not sure if I quite trust myself to put an MR30 onto a battery yet following this disastrous attempt 😂
  19. Never soldering anything again. Made the connector, connected a battery, got a single shot off before nothing and the red LED. Switched batteries, emptied the rest of the magazine (3 round burst is my new favourite thing), then as I've disconnected it the MR30 has come off my connector and got itself stuck inside the one on the MP5. Dug it out with a pair of pliers, ordered one off Eagle 6. Link below. Also burnt myself with the soldering iron and dropped a scalpel onto my leg 🙄 https://eagle6.co.uk/shop/catalog/product/view/id/7874/s/eaglesix-female-mr30-to-male-deans-adaptor-8cm/
  20. Someone I trust to tech my NGRSs has confirmed the above, will post results or delete my forum account later 😅
  21. It’s the MR30 side I’m not sure on either, can’t find any wiring diagrams online.
  22. THIS ADVERT IS 'UNCOMPLETED' - THIS MEANS THE ADVERTISER HASN'T BUMPED THIS LISTING, BUT IT COULD STILL BE WORTH CONTACTING THEM.

For sale I have a "CRT Radio" CRT Space-U UHF Radio, external speaker and Nagoya magnetic mount antenna. Has been programmed with 16 PMR446 channels, as well as the additional 439.000MHz. Wired to a cigarette lighter plug and has an in-line fuse. Tested and working. Used in my Landrover as a vehicle/base station comms setup, now redundant as I don't have the Landrover! Will come with all mounting brackets and screws for the radio itself, external speaker and speaker mic. Very good condition, happy to ship at buyers expense. Whole set-up cost me about £100 including the programming.

    £40

  23. Before I utterly f*ck the ECU in my MP5, does this layout for the connectors look correct? Singled out pin on the MR30 for positive to the vertical pin on the deans? I'm like 99.9% sure but want to check 😅
