  1. I had a great day, got to use my pistol and made a few good shots and also took a serious amount of BBs hits by just going forward and trying to clear a room. Getting hit is all a learning experience about how to do it better or not at all. Same way that having been knifed killed has made me buy my own knife. So light sabre duel it is.
  2. Buy cheap and pay twice. What seems like a good deal is not always what you get from my experience of using eBay, it is always preferable to try on something first when possible. All a balance really, as a pair of grey Craghoppers and hoody can do as well as high end kit for airsoft, although I will also use my clothing for other activities, PC gaming, driving to work, shopping trip to Waitrose
  3. Well Orange colour did suck, and it is much easier to ID orange than green so suits me fine. Bet you still get hit by some friendly fire though.
  4. The binman load-out in Donkey jacket is more my 1970's Troubles or miners' strike look.
  5. Barking and Dagenham are still Essex as far as I am concerned just as Middlesex still exits and Uxbridge is its county town. Welcome to the forum.
  6. They are slightly weird partly because the of extra reinforced material over the knees is a different colour to the main grey colour. They do give extra strength and protection without the kneepad inserts. Good quality material but the legs on size Large (36" waist) are very long on me and ideally I would need to be several inches taller for a better fit. However, size Medium are only 33" waist. No choice in inside leg measurements, i.e. 30R.
  7. Just realised that Edgar Brothers have grey kit on eBay, for example Drac trousers for £135 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Arcteryx-Mens-Drac-Pant-Trousers-ARC-10713/291303019252?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140122125356%26meid%3D8d6de0abaa2c4b22bc46ad8140b62cd0%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D291572668014
  8. Very positive experience with recent purchase from Edgar Brothers Online. Website was simple to navigate and add items to basket, checkout was smooth, and email updates. The delivery was very quick, I ordered on Sunday 29 November and the parcel arrived on Tuesday 01 December and was well packed. Their monthly Ghost sale is very good value (if they have an item you want), and being the UK retailer for Arc'teryx makes it worth checking to see what is on offer.
  9. Probably not. I had a cheap china clone that was shot out on first use at The Mall, the glass was very thin but the LED unit was fine. Luckily I was able to replace the glass with an old cristal watch lens my brother-in-law had spare.
  10. 5 hookers, you had better make sure that they are not rugby players before going off half cocked.
  11. I am old school, for me true milsim is hand loading your BBs into a magazine
  12. Count your BBs so that you know when your magazine is empty, or get a gun that has the bolt stop feature
  13. It could be worth checking out Freeads.co.uk as it is the type of site where guns and airsoft kit can be sold away from the main airsoft forums.
  14. I have posted the cheque to you, post dated for end of February. I left out all references to Turkey off the envelope just in case the Post Office think it is funding for Syria travel
  15. Good point, it is always best to try on before buying to ensure the right fit to face. I was being tempted by the price reduction, and had read somewhere that Smith Optics made some good quality kit. The recent thread about BB injury to the eye due to getting under glasses raises a relevant issue.
  16. I saw 'Midnight Express' and you do not want to end up in a Tukish prison.
  17. Does anyone own or have experience with Smith Optics Aegis Arc Tactical Glasses? Edgar Brothers online have an offer on a pair £15. http://online.edgarbrothers.com/collections/ghost-sale/products/smith-optics-aegis-arc-tactical-glasses Are they any good for airsoft by offering enough ballistic protection from a BB? Do not want to buy a pair if they are not worth it.
  18. I had a delivery glitch with my last UK Tactical order resulting in a 2 week delay. My parcel was delivered to the wrong address, another UK Tactical customer in London, luckily he was honest and using the dispatch note with the parcel phoned my mobile to let me know what had happened. Both Sue and Anne at UKT were very good at sorting out the delvery error and getting my order to the correct location, the delay was down to the carrier company not being able to collect the parcel. However, all worked out in the end and I cannot fault UKT's customer service. And the Pentagon Wolf jacket was worth waiting for.
  19. I had already bought a pair of 5.11 Stryke storm trousers from Nightgear before I saw the Arc'teryx wolf ones in the sale. Bit of an impulse purchase but I have been going with a grey theme and they can be worn outside of airsoft (or at least that is my justification), apart from the balaclava
  20. If anyone is interested in Arc'teryx Talos Leaf wolf trousers then it is worth looking at Edgar Brothers online (UK retailer for Arc'teryx) http://online.edgarbrothers.com who have a limited sale on. Just bought a pair in their ghost sale for half price, still not cheap but more affordable. Arc'teryx Leaf Men's Naga Hoody is down to £85 from £200.
  21. Military chef is considered by many to actually be the hardest course in the Army because no one has ever passed it Welcome Smudge.
  22. Same principle applies when doing a forward roll and drawing your pistol, it increases velocity of the BB through inertia like a bowling a cricket ball, and increases range
  23. UK Tactical have 30% off all Warrior Assult System gear today only, use discount code BLACKFRIDAY They have 10% discount on everything else with code EVERYTHING10
