  1. Personally, if I was going to copy and paste from other articles then I would check the grammar and spelling ( http://www.thetacticalgentleman.com/morale-patch-history/ ) On a positive note, the photographs are good.
  2. I recently purchased a battle belt by Warrior Assault Systems (no surprise as I am a fan of their kit) for about £45 for the PLB enhanced belt. Strong construction with plenty of adjustment around the waist and well padded for comfort. There is a decent range of WAS pouches to put on the belt, or other brands with Molle. It has loops for attaching straps/suspenders, etc. I currently have my belt fitted with: a triple M4 mag pouch, slim dump pouch, medium admin pouch, pistol holster, and double pistol mag pouch.
  3. I agree with you. Fogging ruins play. Also eyesight is priceless, which has put me off the low cost glasses option as I am not convinced on the ballistic protection offered. Having purchased several different pairs of goggles and still experiencing fogging (although have not tried cat crap, etc) moved on to paintball mask which works very well, and no suprises starts to hit the £100 mark. I can see myself adding the Desert Locust to my kit.
  4. Or you could just buy some batteries, then discard your current stock and ask Mr Duck what stock to get to fit the batteries and your gun And wait for a response [i call that a Duck bomb ]
  5. I had previously raised the question (thread in Advice & Technical Help / General, regarding anti-fogging goggles) of using these cheaper Bolle glasses which are only safety rated EN166F, this is only low impact resistant. So was not convinced that they are safe enough for CQB, especially in the UCAP Bunker which is very close and full auto. They probably work better outside where BBs hit from distance and with less energy, although sniper and DMR could still be too powerful, but would be concerned for impact resistance in closer proximity. I have no idea of the maths behind the impact damage of different BB weights from their fps and energy but expect someone on the forum can explain it properly. Think it was rating 'B' that gave adequate protection.
  6. Randymanpipe: Have played at UCAP GreenOps and Sandpit on the same team. A steady and dependable team mate, who will go forward hunting the opposition and get stuck into the fire-fight. An honest player who calls his hits and plays by the rules. Never hear him cheat calling. He will pull a team mate from line of fire to medic them back into game. Generous spirit, offered the use of his spare gun to keep me in the game when I experienced technical issues with mine. A player who embraces the diversity of airsoft sites and looks forward to trying them all
  7. I was fortunate to be able to go straight for the gun that I wanted, and after all the months waiting to buy my first RIF I did not plan having to compromise. Hopefully a decent brand/model will last several years and is good enough straight out the box without needing upgrades. Of course it is all the other kit for the gun that adds to the cost; extra magazines, sling mount and sling, scope and mounts, flashlight and batteries, fore-grip, rail covers, etc. But that is just pimping the ride. Sometimes spending a bit more for quality is better than taking second best, and saves the need to buy a second gun (yes, I know that is heresy to some to the forum) because your starter gun is not right. It really is a personal thing and what best suits you.
  8. Love the police box, what scale is it? I could do with a 1:1 for the back garden, it would alleviate the problem of only having a toilet upstairs and not needing to build an extension.
  9. UK Tactical have a 10% discount on all products until midnight 30 September - discount code ZOMBIE10
  10. The weather looks good for Sunday so I am going to bake in my Fast Helmet. Do not have a hat, and a baseball cap does not sit on my Dye i4 face mask. More importantly I do have a Camelbak so will stay hydrated. Yes, I aim to be therefor 0900 hrs.
  11. My HK416 is 10" (not keen on the barrel extension) and was fine in The Mall (where I have only played once so no expert there) but I like the idea of the Kurz as a secondary weapon. It is only the fact of needing different magazines that stops me getting one next instead of a pistol.
  12. It is okay as my BBs already have wax on them (apparently) but prefer playing in a more natural environment
  13. I don't know about that, I love spending time in some bush! And a sudden entry into a rear passage, just to see the surprise on her face. Back to airsoft... MP5 or MP5K work well at the Mall.
  14. Anyone else going to UCAP Sandpit on Sunday? Any regulars that can show a first timer around.

  15. I have the same issue at home, using both my desktop and laptop on Windows7 and IE. No quote or multi quote function, and even more annoying is that I am unable to copy and paste any text. When using an ipad at work, then I experience no issues.
  16. Latest UK Tactical discount, £50 off a WAS Recon Plate Carrier (RPC) until midnight Wednesday 30 September. So £69.95 instead of £119.95
  17. Just read the 4 page article in Airsoft Action (November edition) about the Sandpit. Good timing. It had a good write-up, although all sites in magazine do tend to. I did take on board the carrying of flapjacks, so have placed several in a spare pouch ready for the energy boost.
  18. Just tried to look at the link. Page is unavailable and says that the link is broken or has been removed
  19. Second that. Good range of quality kit that is fully adjustable.
  20. Let us know how you get on. It is good to see another small business operating in the UK.
  21. I have an AEG that does not make that much of a motor whine (which I also dislike) due to the recoil that has a nice solid 'thunk' sound. Although it does not have the same kick or sound as a GBBR gun, it is not bad for an electric gun. However, it is an equivalent price to a GBBR.
  22. Yes I do have good boots, hiking and an old pair from Afghan, plus blister kit. If I get geographically challenged then it will become a recce of the area. I expect the scenarios this Sunday will force players along set routes and choke points. Looking forward to it, just hope no rain.
  23. Kit all depends on your budget and preferences. I like UK Tactical, very good service and discount offers (http://www.uktactical.com) and in particular the Warrior Assault System.
