Caballero, Are these for standard 20mm Picatinny / Ris rails? By cover do you mean the curved solid plastic panel type cover, or the ladder syle that fit into the rails? The rail ladders sold by eBay for about £8 for four and solid covers about £10 pack. From what forum members have explained is that the gun can get any spring dropped into them in factory, so no set standard, and in the UK different chronographs are used so readings of fps can vary. Even if LWA state 350fps, the site you go to play may get a different chrono reading (and it is their decision whether you can play). Some guns can just have a new spring dropped in, at lower rating to reduce the fps, something the shop will do (for free or at extra charge) or you can fit the spring yourself at home. One of our forum technical gurus will explain all this much better than I can.

It would be interesting to compare the TM HK416D with the Umarex VFC HK416D. Both being the same model, although the TM one costs about £70 more. Ignore the recoil aspect but focus on quality of the parts (metal and plastic), motor, trigger response, rate of fire, hop, barrel, accuracy, etc.

A bit off topic, but do motorcycle helmets have strong enough (balistic rated) visors so that the helmet could be an all in one face protection. Three magazines for my TM Mk23 pistol, so now I have 4 to use in games when I go pistol only. Looking forward to trying it out at The Mall on Sunday.

My TM HK416 is my first airsoft gun, so cannot really compare it to other makes. However, I think it is worth the price; it is well built, feels solid (although some may think it a bit heavy but that is where a sling helps), the recoil is fun and sounds great on full auto. It has plenty of rails for attachments. Whilst the TM recoil magazines only come in two capacities, 82 BB low-cap (can switch them to real-cap 30 BB) or 500 BB high-cap. The 82 BB mags do not let the gun dry fire when empty as they hold the bolt back which is a useful feature. Large enough battery space in the stock, and taking advice I swapped out the sopmod battery for a 7.4V LiPo with deans connectors. If you like the HK trademarks, then some of the TM guns still have them, which is why they are not always advertised in stock. Being 285-295fps means there are no issues with playing at any site, and there are third party parts/suppliers (i.e. Eagle6) to upgrade it. I have my hop set for 0.25g BB and it is accurate but does not have greatest distance. Biggest decision is whether to buy the standard HK416D or the DEVGRU version.

I understood it to mean a one piece face mask, whether that be a mesh one or plastic paintball style. Not two seperate pieces, i.e. mouth guard and glasses.

I think the attachable Fast helmet plastic side covers that protect the ears.

Have not attended there yet, but I do like the fact that there is a map of their site available. I wish that more venues would include a decent map of their site to help orientate players.

I always thought that 1x meant that there is no magnification, the image in the sight is the same size as looking at an object with just your eyes. Only when it is 1.25 and above that magnification is applied, 1.25 is small amount of size increase (25%) and 4x is four times larger/closer (400%).

Looks similar to the Warrior Assault Systems ridgid tab, so should work fine, you weave it into molle as normal. Edit: I was looking at the IdZ version, which is shown out of stock.

I bought a cheap mesh mask from china for under £5 on eBay, and it does the job. Followed the YouTube video guides to attach to Fast helmet. Simple job and cost effective. Had no issues with being hit in the face wearing it. They may not be perfect symmetrical shape but for a fiver it is acceptable and you can play around to adjust the shape/fit.

You could try posting under section 'Other Airsoft Stuff', in the thread title 'Other Events and Meets' Put the site name and date in subject line to make it stand out. All sites that I have been to or looked at only play on certain days, either due to other events happening or because they need staff and a number of players to go there to make it worth opening. For example the UCAP Bunker in Portsmouth is open every Wednesday night and alternate Sundays, and the Mall in Reading is open every Sunday and every other Thursday night.

I just chose the very basic lens, no anti-scratch necessary as they are inside the goggle. I would just swap out the goggle clear lens to the tinted one if sunny outside, so did not bother with anti-glare or UV on the prescription inserts. Kept the costs down.

I also bought an Rx insert for ESS V12 goggles from eBay, and went to Specsavers for the prescription lenses (paid £35).
