No I do not shoot friends in the back, that is what a knife is for - a pat on the back is a recce for the knife. I do tend to stay low in the dark, so people that look over the top of me and wonder why their kneecaps hurt. I am more geographically challenged wondering around in the dark trying to find my way back to respawn.

Is the haze due to people using the old Mk5 pyro and smoke building up. Down in the UCAP Bunker there is a fog of war as the night progresses with smoke from pyro. The bright 600 lumen does not really help any more than 200 lumen, as like in fog the light just bounces back and the haze persists. Saying that I still carry a Fenix torch with 900+ lumen.

I wear glasses but have yet to find a perfect airsoft set-up for wearing glasses or prescription inserts. I cannot wear contact lenses which would be ideal, so just go without the glasses and play the best I can. I get closer and then have more chance of hitting the opposition team, and in CQB that is de rigueur . I may have had a blue on blue once but the stairwell was dark!

Sniping is the only way to eBay. If some tw*t puts in 3 bids on the same item I will keep bidding until there is only one bid left, then if I really want the item just offer twice as much in the last 10 seconds. You know what you want to pay so just wait until the end and bid that figure. I think that putting in several bids is a mugs game. eBay love it as they make more money and the item sells for more. Best offer can work except I had a china company offer it and then fail to respond for several best offers, that expired. When I sent an email they said they made little to no profit on the item, so why did they encourage best offer in the first place. Naturally I just went to another company that would compete.

IIRC they were numbered 1 to 32, and we just took whatever was going. Then used to swap items, I did try and get the jalepeno cheese spread though as it was a tasty snack with crackers. I still have a couple of the dinners in the garage but not sure if they are any good after 12 years.

We used to get issed 2 MREs per day back in 2003, or 1 British 24 hr ration pack. The MRE chemical heaters are very good, especially for doing food on the move.

Whether I use red or green light it will show up in the dark, but less so than white light, and preserves some night vision. Just happens that I have a green filter on my old mini Maglite, which I using for map reading over using red filter. Always a balance between staying covert or falling over / hitting something, and I do not bounce as well as I used to. EDIT: I do not use blue lights as the marshals at UCAP have that colour to ID then as non-targets.

They are getting some new items in, I have just ordered a Warrior black large torch/suppressor pouch which had been out of stock. They have left and right handed Warrior holsters, just some patterns must be more popular or demand than others. Think that is why the tan and green stuff has been given away free from time to time. Still no rifle bags though.

Having a flashlight is a double edged sword but I prefer to have it mounted in case I want to use it, and under the barrel is not an obstruction. I do like the strobe effect. Unlike ImTriggerHappy, who is a speed ninja in the dark , I like to see where I am going so also carry a green filter flashlight in pocket or pouch.

I find a decent padded bra works well to keep my moobs safe If that worried could buy some motorcycle protective body armour. Layered clothing helps, a soft fleece top may get warm but does really reduce the impact at close range CQB.

I just had a look on Amazon, and although some are not titled as thermal, i.e. Dye Paintball Goggle, Barrack Grey, but in the description is should say whether it has a thermal lens. There are genuine ones for £90-100. Mine is the Dye Precision i4.

I did have to modify my Fast helmet, followed a couple of YouTube videos fro reference, to get the mask inside it. Fairly simple process: remove screws from front of rails, cut plastic straps and carefully pull off front padded section, remove soft padding from polystyrene part and replace soft padding into helmet and reattach the rails. Effectively you remove the front padding to allow the mask space to sit inside the helmet, otherwise the helmet rests on the mask and there is this small oval gap offering no protection to the forehead. Think you need the FMA or Emerson type Fast helmet to mod it, not the cheaper china clone with solid polystyrene insert, although you could probably remove some of the insert to make space (depends on your craft skills). I did actually buy a second Fast helmet, the type with the air holes in the top (maritime ?) as that may release more heat, however, it did not arrive before I wanted to go skirmishing so I just modified my original helmet. I can still use the dial at the rear to tighten it to fit.

Yes, many of us are Billy no mates and go to a skirmish solo. I have met up with a few guys from the forum which is good fun, meeting the real player and having a chat.

All in one does the job, the built in switch in the grip will be useful. The flashlight is powerful enough to illuminate ahead without being a blinding light (playing down in UCAP Bunker they recommend 200 lm), and the 123A batteries are powerful and you can get rechargeable ones. Probably want to buy one from the UK eBay though.
