I'd be very surprised someone did not pick up joules and muzzle power in 20 years of paintball. Mos, your facts are almost right, but next time try some original structure in formulation and a few paragraph breaks. Plus, remember that the 0.2g BB does not hit a target and transfer 1.14 J if fired at 350 fps, it transfers the remaining energy up to 1.14J. Take what you learned in the other thread and understand it, that way you can explain it with flexibility rather than verbatim. @OP http://www.airsoftmaster.com/fps-chart-for-airsoft-guns/ - the source explanation for the linked table above. Its a useful table for airsoft. Well, its still a dick move to shoot people under a certain range - if that range was one which you could have reasonably offered them surrender with no loss to yourself. I find surrender takes people less than 5-10 seconds to understand and respond to. Do note some people may shoot back when offered a surrender - in which case, carry on as normal as though a surrender was never offered (hit players are hit). Most sites operate a sort of unofficial H&S rule, that if you offer someone a surrender, while they don't have to take it, if they do they'd just call the hit as normal - if they don't take it you shoot them anyway. There is an oft frowned upon alternative called the bang rule - this just causes arguments in the UK and is to be avoided, the Americans appear to like it though. The bang rule is very different but purposefully the same, it creates an assumption that the attacker has 'hit' the other player by saying bang at close range instead of firing, whereas with surrender the targeted player chooses to take the 'hit'. I've surrendered people at 5 meters and at 20 cm, its all about being a good player. Though for example if you surrender someone whose gun is pointing straight at you (or not) and they shoot you first, you're hit and they're not. Alas a regular surrender can become confused too. If you offered someone a surrender and rather than take it they start to turn to shoot you and you fire first, hitting them, but they don't initially react and continue to turn and fire and hit you, but then promptly take the hit you put onto them, it is very easily arguable that they fired while they were 'out' - and while a separate topic for discussion I wanted to include it anyway as its a rare occasion where a hit can be discarded. I'm sure some will disagree. Note: Surrendering works irrespective of whether you have BBs in your gun. EDIT: In light of an accusation that I was unduly rude to another user in this post, I contact them to offer a public apology (as a thread reply) should it in fact be the case that my jovial (but constructive) critique was taken as by them as anything negative, however they replied that they took my comments as part of the greater exchange from another thread as they were intended to be and no feathers were ruffled.

That's not China. I'm sure that'd be offensive to some Chinese to confuse them with their historic enemies. EDIT:

MED is based on muzzle power, in turn measured by muzzle velocities above 350 fps (with 0.2g BB), and not weapon type. Generally its rare to find people using non automatic guns firing between 350 and 400 fps by that test though. Because many AEGs at 350 are allegedly not fully optimised for maximum range/accuracy, stepping up to a semi only DMR firing 400, 425 or 450 FPS (or a higher BASR) only nets a real advantage going from a tuned gun to a tuned gun - where an advantage in relation to cost really emerges.

I was gonna grab 4 next monday, but they're gone already.

Buy what you want to buy, rather than buying cheap because you have no choice, somehow you'll regret it later. Depending on how much you spend on upgrades, buying cheap could work for you.

Newbish!

You don't even know what noob means in an appropriate context.

I figure theres a good couple of pinned threads needs, that's one I'm not qualified to curate.

I PMed Devastator about this today, been composing a PM follow up to the poll for a few weeks. Got my donor gun through this week too, wont get to handle it until Monday though . Actually, there's 25 threads, more if you count the ones derailed into HPA within the first 5 replies, and the sales posts in parts - but tbh I don't think we need to distinguish HPA when it comes to the classifieds.

http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/7257-bunker-51-site-in-charlton/?hl=%2Bbunker+%2B51 http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/20765-bunker-51-se-london-cqb/?hl=%2Bbunker+%2B51#entry170557 (+2 others with no replies). Its run by either Wolf armouries or Airborne airsoft. Unless you're taking advantage of the wolf armouries hire purchase scheme, I would strongly suggest you hire at a different venue - one with less slippery floors (its mainly a paintball site). If you're under 18, avoid the site altogether.

Gosh they don't stay in stock long, I was going to buy three next weekend, but already they're gone.

When someone says 'like new' and does not elaborate I get very suspicious. Even amazon elaborates on it.

http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/27755-custom-lockable-gun-cupboard/?p=211071 I would keep mine in the loft if at home, but otherwise I keep it all under the bed in 2 boxes and a bag.

Still recommending Specwarfare, I explained my problem with a $11 sling with a busted spring, and that I could not photograph it, I informed them about the postage and suggested a resolution in relation to me making another large order this year and we came to a 100% satisfactory agreement.

Are you fully reassembling it before testing it? Or testing it with the gearbox out of the receivers, I ask because you can save a lot of time by testing things in bits.

Hopefully? You'll spend your monies on hopefully? With sufficient research one could know before spending a penny.

Where can I get an mp5 double drum mag?
Sacarathe replied to marty dog's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
If that's so why not mention C-mag in the thread title, and in the original post? What's wrong with a Hong Kong store? (It's not a RIF) -

UCAP is a example of UKARA alternative, with no functional difference.

This forum really needs another pinned thread of pinned threads/guides. EDIT: +Another

You should have £200 if you want to enter the sport with your own gear. There are several great stickied (pinned) guides for getting into airsoft. If you don't have access to the UKARA database you'll only be able to buy two-toned airsoft guns, how you feel about that changes from person to person. I started playing airsoft with a GBB pistol - it was ok, but if I could do it again i'd get a two-tone SMG. Starting with a pistol depends on the venue and engagement distances (and cost/play style - due to limited amunition and expensive magazines for gas guns) - for a pistol you're looking at 10-20m. With a Automatic Electric Gun (AEG) 20-60. Auto electric pistols do exist.

As people have said, at the end of the day the core issue has nothing to do with airsoft. The act responsible is the Firearms act 1968 S.24 (as amended in 2007). The original act makes note of imitation firearms, but only insofar as they would be used to cause another to believe they were real. As for minors acquiring firearms, the original 1968 act covers that too. The VCRA defences only apply to that act, and thus not the legislation in FA1968. Besides, in the last 5 years quite a few minors have been shot by police in at least two countries due to imitation firearms. So there you have it, the reasons for it extend from old law, and the reasons for keeping it are due to recent tragedies. IMO I can't see how a two-tone gun is a problem for minors - now, if we were to look at California - I do understand.
