Just going to give a specific read for all those interested, as I certainly was.

This is what Baz was suggesting.

    Simple UK Light:
This licence authorises the use of hand-portable or mobile radio equipment anywhere within the UK. Base station use is not permitted. Licensees have access to fifteen frequencies spread across four Business Radio frequency bands and must self-coordinate with other Simple UK Light licensees. The licence fee is £75 for five years.

Welcome! I hope you stick around to tell us how it goes for your first day!

That setup looks to be pretty decent for his first gun, the CM raider should last him a long while so long as care is taken for it! Only thing missing from it is eyepro (Safety glasses / goggles) which is the only major must have item.

As for the License, Firstly it's not a license. It's a registration database which is used to show that you are a member of a certain site and that under the VCRA you hold a 'Defence' or reason for the purchase of a Real imitation firearm.

I'm sure someone will point you to the VCRA thread detailing what you should know.

However to purchase that setup, you are free to do so as I assume the Bright green is 2-tone over 51% of the imitation firearm, which you do not need a Defence to purchase.

My other half hates guns & violence in anyway so although she isnt really happy about what Airsoft portrays. she is happy that I am happy.

Airsoft is a father/son day for me & my boy so she is happy we have something together. I just always have to keep the rifs well hidden & only get them out every so often.....Which actually makes it easier for me to hide new kit as she is unfamiliar with my loadout

After coming back from doing a stint in Kurdistan (Syria/Iraq) with the YPG... My missus is glad that I'm playing airsoft rather than being back where I was less than 2 months ago. She didn't like hearing about what I had done etc out there, but now she actually enjoys my tales of taking objectives in the woods, being "shot" in the face, "killing" youngsters on the field!

I'm adamant that she'll come play soon.. I keep bringing the game briefs home and leaving them on the side (intentionally)... and I've caught her the past couple of weekends reading them and asking how the game played out!

Slowly started to introduce more war movies, and action films into our "movie date night", and she's even tried on my plate carrier/rigs, even got out in the garden shooting a load (hahaha...) into empty beer cans.

To sum it up, I don't think she minds... She's got her nail polish, hair products, and always has her "girlfriends" over, so it gives me an excuse to get out!

I probably wouldn't use anything heavier than a .28, not worth it in a normal assault rifle generally in my opinion. Would probably stick to .25s for cost reason even.

It depends on how technical you are.

The Gun itself is fully compatible with the VSR10 parts as the other post i put up, so using ASPUK for parts would be a good way to look after it!

No worries, if you want a scope for it also -- http://www.amazon.co.uk/CVLIFE-3-9x40-Optics-Sniper-Hunting/dp/B007UT3OFC/ref=pd_sim_sbs_200_9?ie=UTF8&refRID=0APWWXA5C3G16DTC2JRN

Please bear in mind, you will need to spend some time Zeroing this as it won't be setup out of the box. I know a couple of sites in Kent that do range days, so if you're near them it would be worth it.

I own the CYMA 701b. Purchased from Taiwangun for £80.

    To begin with:
If you are comfortable to lay down, wait for about 30 minutes for one kill, and move on then carry on.

    Onto the gun itself:
The Gun breaks into three sections,

The furniture is Plastic, make no mistakes. As such it is very light, this can be fixed by using weights / poly filler or whichever. (I actually would suggest using filler of some kind, as it removes the reverbrations of sound from inside the furniture)

The Barrel / Trigger Mech / Cylinder are the heaviest parts, and in balance it easily requires a strong support arm otherwise you're going to have a bad time balancing.

There is a trigger guard which comes seperately and requires you to attach it to the trigger mech before then attaching to the furniture. Three screws, farily secure with no movement.

As for upgrades, this will completely accept VSR10 uprgades. - Check here for a complete list of parts / and a guide to doing so.

It fires (Chronoed personally and at shop):
    .2 = 490 FPS
    .36 = 365 FPS

For aethsetics you can potentially buy a M700 wood furniture for this, and with a little bit of work, it will sit snugly.

As for the mags comment above, you get 3 with the gun from TWG and each one after is £10 a pop

My main concerns with the rifle out of the box?
It has a crimped metal cylinder. This WILL become fragile and break with wear, So I completely suggest changing it sooner than later.

It is light, as mentioned above.
    There are no sling loops.

Anything you would like to know specifically?

I didn't know the gun broke into 3 parts this has spooked me could you please take a pic of the gun disassembled (you don't have to) beacuse the trigger guard is the spook. How does it connect to the gun? This is the only photo I'd really like to see of the gun tbh mate.

Amazon sell them at good prices. I’ve had one before it was really good, battery lasted for days but it’s a little tricky to manually program so unless you have the programming cable and frequency doc it’ll be a ball ache. Overall though they good. think they are like £25-30 off Amazon buddy.

Ouch... in that case find another site to skirmish at!

Even though airsoft can result in small injuries there should still be at least public liability insurance in place.

You basically sign a waiver to say that you accept certain risks, etc.

This is as ludicrous as sites who don't provide adequate first aid cover, and I have even heard of sites suggesting teams have their own first aiders...
