Great job, bud! My build's coming along nicely, but without the proper handguard and barrel, it's more of a KS-2 at the moment. The optic paint is a primer, until I can get the right khaki colour. I'm still holding out for a repro Vortex AMG 1-10, so I can replace the Vortex Razor repro that's on there now, though.🫢

  2. Been running civvie kits all summer, but now that the leaves are falling and sight lines will open up a little, even if Worthing is still difficult to snipe at in winter with all the twiggy bits, I feel like it may be time to return to the LRRP setups. Worn with m81 (freedom and apple pie, babyyyyyyy 🦅 🦅), this is the current setup I'm going with. Will generally wear the boonie and stash the viper hood and cap in the bag as an "if I need it" kind of thing. Will also carry scrim net for the rifle to break up the solid black colour and using elastic bands to secure it allows me to add some natural vegetation as well. I'm not painting that beautiful piece of airsoft history and while I have a ghillie rifle wrap, I like taking the real-steel approach of "do not use any camo that impedes the workings of the rifle" which ghillie wraps very much tend to do; the number of times the ghillie material flaps up in front of the scope while I'm trying to aim I swear to God... Repro invisio earpiece, cam cream, rangefinder, compass, elastic bands/hair ties and binos also in the kit, but not included in the picture because I forgot. Also carry BBs, gas, another canteen of water and sometimes some snacks in the backpack as well, often using it as a rifle rest instead of the bipod once I get into a spot. I also might remove the right-side pistol mag pouch and leave it empty, as it resides just above the pistol when the holster is attached to my trouser belt. Quick-draw pistol access isn't needed for this type of kit, and I feel like having the extra magazines might be more worth it, but I need to see in game how it feels. The pistol does clear the kit fairly easily, but it's ever so slightly in the way. The pistol also changes depending on my mood between the HK45, 1911, p226, hi-capa, AAP-01 and mk23, but at the moment I'm feeling the immersive suppressed .45 (it's a subsonic round, so a suppressor actually works decently well on the real thing, and I prefer the GBB HK45 over the NBB mk23, especially for sniping) Backup rifle tends to be my 16" SRS as it's small, light and easy to pack and bring to a game day. I never plan on using it, but it's good to have a reliable backup that I can just throw in without worrying about having to tune it for the weather like I do with the m24. However, this kit can do all of my MWSs as well (those double .308 mag pouches fit 3x MWS mags nicely) so it basically covers all of the rifles that I use between my m700s and MWSs, plus my backup SRS and MTW, and hopefully next year will include a GBBR m21 build.

  3. Well my bullgear stuff arrived today. 26 days from the day they posted it to my door step which isn't terrible from Russia. Everything seems to be okay, however I am disappointed by Bullgear themselves and their lack of customer service. Not sending me any tracking information until I sent them a few emails asking for updates which was less than ideal - However the items did arrive, and it was far cheaper than buying over here (If over here had the stuff in stock...) Now to work out how it all works 😂

  5. Guys, as per the other just-cos thread, gonna lock this one too, the general consensus on the forum is that just-cos is a piss poor defence with very little legal substance, & most of those members that support it are not committed airsofters, which is fine for them i guess, but when the poop hits the fan due to misuse of a rif, bought using just-cos, its the legitimate airsofters that will suffer long term. So promoting it in any form, or listing retailers that now accept it, won't be shown here, for the reasons ive mentioned.

  6. My local site runs a 1.3J limit for AEGs, which is a bit higher than most places I’ve been to. Doesn’t really change anything meaningful id say, but I have noticed that when people get overshot while already dead, tempers seem to flare a bit quicker. Personally I don’t see any point in upping the limits beyond that as 1.3J feels already on the limit of what id want to play (most of my stuff is at 1.13 so i can use it everywhere.) It just seems people want to up the limit to get their rifs to fire straighter/quicker time to target and with less bb deviation but as anyone who has used a stock TM will tell you fps isn't drastically going to change that. I would be very interested to play a game in Japan to see how different it really is at a lower limit and if it makes the games more/less enjoyable.

    I give up

Yea I did join the airgunforums.co.uk searched for a specific post about a custom SVD project politely congratulated the person on the amazing job they did on a wooden stock mentioned my own project and was banned instantly for Spam. I do have a a lot to contribute, thanks for feed back. Also I would not say the modifications are exactly cheap. The Pidik Mancraft HPA engine £300 after post, and real soviet stock and hand rail guard are not cheap looking at £500 ALTHOUGH I got mine on etsy from a seller in Ukraine at the time of the Crimean annex which was a huge score, neither is a full steel billeted collector addition WE ACE SVD with increased power nozzle adapter from Hong Kong, HPA magazine mod, Custom Steel CNC bolt from Clutch precision, and Custom hand made wooden Stock and hand rail form air Soft Shien, but hey what ever , I am figuring it out on my own, thanks for piling up , and taking the P*ss out of me that was helpful. 🤗 I was looking to sell them once completed, as I have a client at the gym who is making me a 12 shot PCP to fit inside an svd frame , and i have purchased a scroll saw and some quality reclaimed wood to make my own stock. but forgive the naivety regarding my previous interactions at the forum. Thank you. I did find the Ace We stock maker that way , you are right. and yes the Pidik went in , its awesome. and to be honest i have alot to say but i am now afraid to comment more on the Co2 system and what happened with it lol

  10. Update. Well! We don’t know what actually happened. Rang PB, they said my delivery was due out today after not being in yesterday, despite me taking in the incorrect order!? So we were all confused. But it has actually arrived this evening! I was also awarded a £10 voucher from PB for being honest about receiving somebody else’s order and collection has been arranged for DPD to collect incorrect order tomorrow. And both times the wife hasn’t been in ask me what I’ve been ordering! Everything is well in the world 🥹

  11. I put one of my 'spare' full-auto Deagles in a PCC kit to use with my Cyberpunk loadout. Finally finished the paint job and salvaged an optic that works. Pretty happy with the result (especially the burnished muzzle 😁). Not gonna be to everyone's taste, but you don't see a lot of Deagle PCCs, right?

  13. I'm currently trying to lose weight because getting fitter makes airsoft (and basically everything in day to day life) much easier. I really miss the times when I was much fitter and airsoft was easier and I was able to do so much more than I can right now. Definitely feeling the limitations of carrying 30kg of unnecessary weight around... However in the interim, I have become very good at hiding and all my rifles are pretty obsessively tuned. Sniping is a great way to play if you're overweight and unfit, because the whole point is moving slowly. Still a menace on the field, so 100% agree with you. There are many ways to make yourself more effective on the field.

  16. One of the sites that I frequent has a 60m range, which is slightly inadequate, so I have used Google Maps to identify a spot that is 70m from one of the helicopters and has a clear line of sight to it. The other site does not have a range so I have identified a spot that is 70m from a structure. If I have been fiddling with a gun, I take my box of springs, some hop rubbers and nubs and my toolkit and arrive early and spend time setting it up.

  18. Yeah, one of the great parts of Worthing is they have a range that goes out to 85m, so I'm always using it to zero my sights and set my guns up, though since I have to move scopes between guns I usually have to do this at the start of every game day. It's also where I did all my testing around various power limits with my various guns; tested between 1.1J and 2.3J with my m700s and tested between 1.1J, 1.48J, 1.64J, 1.88J and 2.32J with my HPA m14 and my MTW, as well as one of my MWSs Well, it goes out to 100m, but it's hard to get an angle on the 100m target and I think it might've fallen off the tree it was attached to...

    LCT M60 Series.

Looks awesome, nice big battery space but agree with Der Der it’s strange having to carry a hex key all the time (taking mag on off for safe zone). The cardboard box mag won’t last one soggy game day before turning to mush, understand plastic ones break but I would need to get a steel/ali one fabricated to use this in game?

  21. This is one of the first ones I can remember (UKSF - Exercise Winchester Accord, May 2016). Its worn in place of a Balaclava when the only reason to wear one is OPSEC as it helps with "not breathing out your arse". Its not PPE.

  24. I'd only be interested in changing power limits to facilitate RIFs in the manner I think they shoukd be used (how very arrogant of me 😁) Before the limit was based in law, and sites were responsible for their own rules, we had 3 limits, based of FPS with a 0.2g BB as that's all our chronos were capable of recording back then. 350fp was for your full auto rifles, pistols, etc. Common rules throughout the land, no minimum engagement. 450 fps was for semi auto DMRs and support weapons. A G&G Firehawk with a box mag did not count as a support weapon, and an MP5 tuned to within an inch of its life was not a DMR. We are talking long barreled rifles, preferably 7.62 or similar, but 5.56 SPR were allowed as was the KJW KC02. Support weapons had to be fired from a mounted position (bi-pod, window sill, car bonnet, etc) and you were heavily encouraged to use 3 or more weights of ammo randomly mixed in, to give a beating zone, rather than a laser-like stream of plastic. 30m minimum engagement. 550fps for bolt actions with a 30m minimum engagement. Anybody with a MED also had to prove they could judge distance with a sense of accuracy. Our current limits are fine for Sunday skirmish type games. Safety must always be of paramount importance, but for mil-sim type games where tactics, ammo limits and missions are the gameplay, then I think having the flexibility of weapon types makes for a more immersive game.

  25. you bring what you're good at to the game. some people are good at sneaking, some are good at running about, some can think like their enemy, and some can open up the clockwork nightmare that is an airsoft gearboxx and actually improve it. so yes, getting fitter or learning to hide better is going to help your game, but so is being able to hit people at ranges they can't hit you. none of these are any more of less valid ways of gaining an edge.

  26. Wire stock goes so much harder anyway
    1 point
  27. It does, you just have to angle it at 45 degrees and treat it like a 155mm howitzer. 20 minutes later, after hitting a few friendlies, a stray cat and depleting all your ammo you can feel good in knowing you might have actually hit the enemy.

  30. All of the Airsoft under folders are terrible because of how little support the under folder actually has. Unlike the real thing which is a full on bar (I believe, been a while since I’ve had a real steel under folder in front of me) it gets really weak over time and will end up failing. The GHK is probably the only reliable under folder (but still suffers the same issues) but also the most unreliable internals unless you win the GHK lottery TL;DR you got a much better deal lol

  32. No thank you, I agree that we have a good balance in all the categories. Airsoft guns are like vehicles, if a car has 100bhp & you tune it to 200bhp, you don't therefore get double its top speed or acceleration, airsoft guns are no different, plus harnessing that extra power is another issue with hops etc. And extra power will likely shorten the lifespan of the internals, another negative 👎

  33. No I wouldn't. I really don't know if it's sadism but i don't get the more power lot in airsoft!. I have seen people get their teeth shot out, i have had to dig BBs out my arm, still got a mark on my collar over a month after i got shot. All at UK limits most from long range shots. It's been proved time again you don't need power to get range and personally think airsoft would better with out snipers.

  34. I think the current limits keep gameplay at a close range that encourages action and fun. I think having higher range is good up to a point (see paintball vs airsoft) but the 50-70m limit from a well tuned 1.14j airsoft gun is about right. Also, might be an unpopular opinion, but getting shot at close range by 1.14j hurts plenty for me. Much higher and I'd be less inclined to do CQB.

  37. Not so much tactics but Bodgeups did some good videos showing what sniping is like in airsoft. All his videos are a few years old now though ad he gave up on the whole YouTube thing. I won't go into detail but his headshots aren't the worst thing he does. I would say he's a cunt but I don't think he's got the warmth, depth or ability to provide pleasure. With airsoft on YouTube you need to remember that 99% of videos are very heavily edited to make the player look far better than they actually are
