Just seen that in the classified. Came straight here.... didn't disappoint... haha. £800?.... I think he's looking for his next fix of what ever the hell he's been sniffing.... Then trying to justify it's a classic. Well I've still got my original TM XM177 springer...... To you, a mere $1m dollars. It has a sleek design. That old classic TM creak, that gets all the old players sweaty with dread. Was that creak or crack, my back or the gun. It's features more plastic than cher. It even features a drop down handle, which has you biting your lip, not in excitement. But in stiffness and the thought of breaking it if pulling too hard....5 points -

To Fix or Not to Fix a clone ASW338LM, That is the Question
Lozart and 2 others reacted to Cannonfodder for a topic
As it was in the classifieds I'm guessing you want to get rid of it. If then I'd say fix it up first as a working gun is more likely to sell than a broken one. You probably won't get much for it but it'll cover the cost of parts. Also seeing the words easy fix in an advert can put some people off as if it is then why not do it yourself?3 points -

What have you made?
ButcherBill and one other reacted to Barny for a topic
Hopefully this fits into the what have you/I made section.... I live in a rented house and have wanted a nicer way to display pews than the usual scattered around the house option without drilling holes in the walls etc. Spent many an hour googling and procrastinating about the best way to go. Eventually decided to settle on the Ikea Skadis peg board as that seems fairly popular. A quick trip, that sadly wasn't, as the missus came and dragged me round the entire f*cking place and eventually we ended up in the hardware section. Quickly realised the boards have rounded corners so that they would need trimming down to get rid of that. So got the biggest boards in white with the intention of paint/wrap/netting to cover it up. Found some conveniently size ply board at work, cleaned that up and set about cutting the boards down to suit. Found some ally spacers that would lift the pegboard away from the ply and bolted it up nicely. Seen some reports of sagging or bowing so hoping the 9x bolts per panel will sort that. Absolutely rubbish at DIY, but quite happy how the turned out. Currently un-coloured and hoping to get some kind of case/drawers/kallax to lift it of the floor to give some storage space underneath. Only a small selection of Pews, ones in bits, the AEGS are somewhere in the house....2 points -

Saw an Osprey mk4 Hip Belt (large of course) on fleabay & decided to buy it, 1. it adds to my Osprey mk4 collection 2. it has slightly more molle rows 8/6/8 compared to my 'battle belt' set up of 6/7/6 They look very similar but the Osprey presents the first mag on each side further forward & as a fat lad that means I can reach the mag pouches easier. The Osprey (top) is set up as a sharpshooter belt for my GBB Scar-H & the Battle Belt is set up for 5.56 stanags. You can tell the Osprey is a little longer but I do need to get another belt for it to go round my roundness. I've stripped down my Osprey mk4 Body Armour to a basic set-up with just a couple of utility pouches & a placard on the front, so in theory I could wear both in game but lets face it... the damned thing weighs a tonne even without pouches, so that's unlikely. 2nd pic is the sellers pic from fleabay.2 points -

First off before I start I want to say this post is not for poking fun at people who do cringe stuff in Airsoft it's merely a discussion on what you find cringe worthy in the sport, end of the day people doing these things are still having fun and enjoying them selves so I don't intend any offense towards anyone that does these things. Keep doing you and what you enjoy. Disclaimer done. I was wanting to know what do others in here find most cringe worthy in Airsoft as I'm finding I have a few that I find worthy. First for me is probably people who play as if they are someone in the real SF and post online pictures of them playing but allways blank out or blur their faces. Just don't get the reasoning behind it unless your embarrassed to admit you play Airsoft, even worse are the ones who go further and on game days will hang around all day with their face covered and not interact much with others, it's like come on man we are all here to have fun at least join in on the fun and socialise.1 point

Cringe in Airsoft
Mtemprell reacted to EvilMonkee for a topic
Geardos and those trying to take it too seriously. The funniest thing I have ever seen at Airsoft (pull up a sandbag) was at the old Urban Assault site a few years back. There was this team of geardos who spent their lunch break running through CQB drills, stacking up, clearing corners etc. Fine, but they were doing it wrong and the Chief Geardo was getting more and more irate. It was fucking hilarious. Anyway, post lunch my mate and I were in an end room of a building (Urban Assault was an old RAF base) when said bunch of geardos burst in and clear the room even though we were in the same team and had been sat in the enemy less room for around 10 minutes. Utter bunch of knobs.1 point -

EvilMonkee reacted to LMKipper for a topic
Oh god it's people who forget that these things are pretty terrible consistency/accuracy wise and end up accusing others of not taking hits. I was marshalling a few weeks back and a player I was stood behind told another to take their hits. I had to tell him his hop was too high, because I was watching his BBs get about 3/4 feet in front of the other player then flick up and over his head.1 point -

Anyone who gets genuinely angry when they lose a game mode. This isn't real life or death stuff. It just makes me think they never moved past the mentality of screaming down microphones on computer games.1 point

I’ve just jettisoned a load of money on a new Double Eagle MK18, a HPA conversion for a boneyard M4 and a shed load of knock off gear from AliExpress, plus my son finally got a day to use his freshly built AAP-01 carbine so thought this one was worth a write up. Went to my local (and by local I mean walking distance) site Army of Airsoft. It bills itself as a CQB site, but in reality it’s a bit more flexible than that. Think urban ops in a small war torn town. Always a good mix of gameplay on offer, they’ve recently added pre-recorded next game instructions in the staging area, meaning less faff when you go out for the next match. This months miracle allowance was clearly used up as all the guns we brought along worked almost flawlessly all day, most miraculously of all the HPA gun which I’d barely finished building the night before with no time for any real testing or setup. I set off knowing nozzle alignment was far from perfect, but the Inferno Gen2 seems forgiving as it was still shooting straight. I expect with some fine tuning it will be even better. Some highlights of the day… Got shot in the nose = open wound. Common occurrence for me these days. Size of nose is the issue I think… Later shot in the face with a shotgun. Nose felt funny again. Prodded it. Some BBs fell out. Size of nose is still an issue I think… HPA gun performed like a champ all day. Son then claimed it for the rest of the day and had a jolly good wheeze cheesing through ammo. The thrill of one-shotting dudes with the MK18 and making the limited ammo count last a match. Surprising brilliance of my son’s custom AAP01. Rifle like range and accuracy out of a featherweight setup. Lunch - brilliant stew served with crusty bread and enough to go round for a second helping. Torrential rain in the afternoon reduced us to a tense 4v4 finish.1 point -
Same here. There used to be a "Renew" button, but it has disappeared now. Also, there used to be a section displaying all items that are going to expire, but that section has now gone. I've reported both issues to the admin, but haven't heard anything back yet. Fingers crossed, all will be resolved soon.1 point

Wrong place to ask, there's a "Guns Wanted" section in the classified for this sort of thing.1 point -
If it was ever to reappear in the classified's I wouldn't relist it as it was, the pic is just to show what it is I'm blathering on about 🙂. It would only reappear as fixed/working or as a pile of boneyard bits. Its a bit of an academic question anyway as I have a bad case of fix-it-itis with airsoft bits - If its broken and I think I can fix it then even if I don't want it, I find myself dismantling and at least trying to repair it anyway!😄 The sear is already done. The hop unit had been modified at some point in the past, which is possibly why half a dozen broken bits of plastic fell out of it when I removed it! 😄so I'm working on a fix for that, and as I dismantled it I found there's a problem with the cheek rest involving a broken piece of mazak which may actually turn out be the worst problem. Might have to invoke Dr Frankenstiens assistance!🤪😄1 point

Just a belt for 9mm SMG mags keeps me light which for me is what SMG is all about. I have the Viper open top elastic retention type for AEG/pistol mags and the Viper Velcro closed top for gas Apache mags. I have used the Apache mags in the elastic pouches but they were a bit too heavy and felt loose.1 point

I run a belt for an SMG cause I'm a fat fuck and plate carriers look like a tactical moob holder on me. I have 2 single temu elastic retention pouches and a triple Viper Velcro pouch on one side and a holster and double pistol pouch on the other with a dump pouch in the middle. It's pretty well balanced and the SMG pouches hold 45 round Apache mags nicely. The elastic retention pouches can be a pain to get mags slotted in a hurry but they're snug once in and won't fall out even on the rare occasion I run between cover.1 point
