Impressive, new gun is £300, drum mag is £50, the poly mags are £9 each if you buy 5, rail is £9. I bought one of these used recently for £150 which I thought was a good price for a very good out of the box AEG. And it’s 4 years old and looks like crap, if you try and fail to take the two tone off at least respray it black over the top……

Think it’s a Cyma thing, somewhere for the battery to go. On the L version (MP5K) you can put the battery in the top of the gun if you use a AK slim stick type. On the G version it usually goes under the hand guard but you need tools to remove it on this version, it’s also full of mlok holes so you would see the battery.

Nah, mine's a KJW m700 in a Modelworks m40 kit, with the outer barrel swapped for the Action Army outer barrel to allow it to be threaded so I can fit a suppressor. I pretty much only use gas guns, and most of my guns are bolt actions or DMRs despite most people moaning that they're not consistent enough (unironically a skill issue...); they're great, but you really have to know what your doing, tweak them basically every game day, and you have to own a bunch of different types of gas for different weathers. At the moment I'm using green, but in 6 months time I will be using red or even black gas. And yeah, any 7mm VSR spring I believe (so... most of them. Maple Leaf and Laylax are both 7mm springs I believe). If you want to use a 9mm spring like the Rapax ones, you'll need a 9mm spring guide, but again that's just a standard VSR thing, so any 9mm VSR spring guide should fit.

Pretty sure the Maple Leaf 338 is basically just a VSR built out of Maple Leaf parts. Unless I'm mistaken, I believe you should just be able to use VSR parts in that one, and the Maple Leaf internals should handle springs sufficient to get it to 2.3J. Not sure what other parts it comes with internally, but my go-to for VSRs is also the Action Army VSR hop unit and either a Flamingo + omega nub or 4uantum hop rubber plus the nub that rubber comes with. Can't tell you about the TM m40a5 as I've never used one (my m40a5 is a gas gun).

Added an MWS to the collection. I've swapped some of the L119A1 bits over to it, so the long term plan is find a G&P Storm grip, maybe a spare upper to build a 16" one as well? And of course... magazines! And then another stock and flash hider to go back on the NGRS so I don't have to keep swapping them over 😂

The Novi US website just put up a cracked deal for the SSR63, and so, impulsively, fearing they made an error with the pricing, bought one. Maybe it’s the Lord telling me to become a G36 guy. In any case, they’re something of a rare bird in the States (I’ve never even seen a G36 at my local field), and I was curious what folks like to do with these or if they have any particular quirks. All info is appreciated! Also, any pics of loadouts for inspiration would be awesome.

A friend of mine has one, with a Maple Leaf inner barrel and a 4uantum hop rubber, that thing is totally accurate and consistent at 70m. Can't fault it at all, the build quality is faultless, it has a nice feel and seems plenty solid. After handling and shooting it i was left a little disappointed in my own gun to be honest. I never looked at G36s much before, but after handling it i wanted one. I'll try get some pics on Sunday when i next see him.
