  1. Stabber, because in space nobody can hear you scream "They don't like it up 'em, Commissar Mainwaring!"

  2. Bloke's clearly not an airsofter, I'm not minded to help him get his hands on a RIF.

  3. Yeah, but you now either need 2 slings or a QD mount on both, 2 scopes or sights (or both) & 2 PEQ boxes for the looks, they might not share the same mags so either 5-6 mid caps or 2-3 highcaps or both of course, don't forget 2 fore grips (colour matching the pew), what about suppressors, will your tracer fit inside one? Hmmm, a couple of lipo's & a proper charger. It's at this point you'll think... I wonder what an AK feels like... Will I get an SMG for CQB... Sniping looks fun...

  6. Well I bought a tracer unit and forgot the BB's so had to order those No point in having the tracer without those ?

  7. Last gun for the foreseeable future. It'd take something special like some sort of TM GBBR SR-25 (because I don't trust VFC) to come out, or something to catch my attention in the classifieds. This will not remain an M4A1 for long...

  8. I plead the 5th I noticed the mag that came with it wouldn't lock in the mag well easily & saw this wire which I reckonned was blocking it slightly, I've tucked it behind the magwell & all sorted now. I've got some other MP5 mags to try but the Cyma mag feed is very slightly forward of some of the other mags I have & they need a smack to get them to lock properly.

  10. A nice fast delivery from HPA-UK... Cyma MP5KPDW. This genuinely surprised me, it's got some weight to it & firing 321.6fps 1.2j on .25's. BUT, omg where the hell do I put the battery??? oo-er. & a wee addition for my HK416A5, an E&C Warden 3.5" suppressor.

  12. Postie brought this today courtesy of Bejtival, has some issues that I was well aware of but as a wallhanger those issues really don't matter. This is a bucket list item for me but not sure if I prefer it with or without the grip.

  17. Agree, the evo is pretty much perfect for cqb, seems pointless to change it ? Gotta ask though, you said you're "NEW" to airsoft, but you joined in 2021, longtime non playing lurker ?

  18. Because I've been in the hobby for a long time, and for a very long time they were made of cheese and were basically just nice looking paperweights. I've heard they're a lot better now, but it's also a hard sell for me because I have 3 MWSs; one DMR, one CQBR and one (soon to be) more recce style 1J long build that all share mags, so £700 + the GBBR magazine tax for an M110 isn't that attractive of an investment for me, especially since my mk12 MWS is a lovely DMR already. If a TM one came out, I'd entertain the idea, but honestly? I'd quite probably still give it a miss.

    Up too £320 for AEG

I used to go airsofting all the time last year, I have a VFC Avalon sabre SD at the moment but it’s a cqb shorty. Not practical at all for my field, too short, gun is just very small and battery compartment can’t get 11.1 in, need upgrades internally and with all of that I may aswell get another rif ( handy too have two for a back up also) now just stumbled upon the edge 2.0 range from Specna and it looks promising.

  21. All this talk of wall-hangers, it's heresy, heresy I say, they're meant for shooting people, not jizzing over when the missus is at the shops ?

  22. Couldn’t tell you bud This is an Airsoft forum with no section for Blank firing replicas But a quick Google search, found this….. https://news.npcc.police.uk/releases/amnesty-to-be-held-for-blank-firing-guns-popular-with-organised-criminals#:~:text=TVBFs are legal to buy,the top of the weapon.

  23. Recent law changes have been introduced that cover blank firers. I don’t know what they are, but I believe certain types are now illegal and there has been/ will be an amnesty Personally, I’d be researching before trying to buy - if you are struggling to find a supplying retailer, maybe my answer will suggest why

  27. I finally managed to make contact via phone. I was told that they are having an issue with one of the manufacturers that they use for the firing mechanism. They were due the parts last Wednesday, but I did not receive them. They are due in again today. I asked for an update by the end of the day regardless of the outcome (Get the part / Don’t get the parts) Let us see if they provide it.

  29. I've had a few bigish purchases from them, on the whole I've been happy with my purchases but my first one wasn't great, bought an L85A3 from them that appeared(to me) to be a resold returned item with a couple of minor issues, but on another purchase they'd doubled up my order(to their cost). However I've not bought from them since Jan last year so can't say if there are recent issues.

  32. A horizontal pouch to house a little 13CI HPA bottle, keeping it nicely tucked out of the way and not bouncing around on the back of the belt. Primarily for use with my recently converted L96 with a Mancraft SDIK. I couldn't find any ready made solutions on the market, so resorted to making my own with leftover bits and bobs that I had+ a 20 year old sewing machine!

  33. Keep the EVO and have fun, no point in downgrading to a G&G. Specna FX-01 is okay for the cost but it does surely need tuning to make it cqb worthy. Not to the extent I have gone for (brushless DSG build that pumps out 42 RPS on a 11.1v 1450mAh 30c), but certainly needs a new motor, FCU and compression set. Maybe a set of 13:1s.

    Noob question

We don’t know what we don’t know, and the wise man knows that he doesn’t know what he doesn’t know You’ve started well having identified a potential flaw and then thinking about how that is resolved The first time we ran an airsoft game I knew nothing about how airsoft actually runs. I was sat at the safe zone entry waiting for all players to return before resetting props & pyro for the next mission. The players didn’t know why I was there, the first player through showed me his empty magwell - then everyone in turn showed they were safe & clear or stopped to remove magazine and fire off the last BB in the chamber - and then due to my presence a few remembered they had a holstered pistol to clear as well In just a few minutes I learned the airsoft method for clearing before exit, and some of the peculiarities of different RIF types * we always run events in in collaboration with sites so did have real marshals to do that side - not only because we have a paintball background vs airsoft specifics, but I prefer a clear distinction on the primary roles - everyone should be looking out for safety but I feel that the game marshal should be focused safety first that rather than us who are running the flow of an event and hopefully spotting safety issues

Where and what sort of game(s) do you play ? What platform do you like ? G&G make some good things in that price range e.g. ARP9/556, CM16 SR models with etc/mosfet.

    Noob question

Ah, no worries, we all have to learn this. It's the most important safety rule: eye protection on before you go into the game zone; and mags out, guns cleared[*], and selectors on safe before you enter the safe zone. If you're bringing your own guns rather than renting, then I'd listen out for a shout for rentals on your first day. Tail onto that, and listen in to the rules-and-safety briefing that they're given. If in any doubt on the day, just ask any marshal or other player - airsofters tend to be a friendly, helpful lot, if somewhat prone to magical thinking and wild mis-estimation of ranges. [*] anything that doesn't need a mag to fire, shoot it at the ground until you're sure there's nothing left in the chamber.

  42. Yes, he's copy-pastad the description, right down to "aluminum" (sic). Interesting to see that CYMA and PatrolBase have cut the price down to sub £100 again. That does reflect the toytown plastic and lack of features compared to Specnas and Lancer Tacticals, it's been a while coming.
