Hey all I hope I find you well. Some of you will know me some not. Many of you I have met. I'm somewhat of a dinosaur now. I spent some time hunting 80-90-2000s spring guns. It became quite an obsessive project. I never thought I would get rid of any of them but I've come to realise much of the thrill was in the hunt, and I let one go and it was nice to let it go to someone else to enjoy. I'm not sure what I want to get rid of some of you will have watched as I amassed it. There are so many it's very hard to list. If there's anything anyone is interested in do give me a shout.

Couldn't agree more, most UK players wouldn't give a us firm that's markets ridiculously priced non proven airsoft guns the steam off our piss, yet the op has this borderline obsession with their products. Each to their own I guess 🤔

Righto. You want £450 but you have wasted time not itemising the upgrades to warrant that price?

Aye, to clarify, when I say I want to run it, I dont mean field it at 1.4j, thats a great way to never be able to play in my area again! I'm getting about 35 /40m atm with .25's and max hop, beebs arent too floaty and head nice and straight but start to drop off after that, groupings of about 4" at 20m and up to 7" at 40m ish so its probably not a bad bucking, I'd imagine it'd be a LOT worse than that if it were... I'll see about trying different weights and see if that helps but it's probably just my internal range finder is off by a few yards (although its probably just dirtier than a whores drawers!) Either way its gonna be a backyard plinker for lobbing steels / ally's whilst I get something a little less cumbersome / lumpy to field in the new year. probably a nice little GBB Glock or something, preferably still co2 though due to living in a cold area. thanks for the replies tho peeps, muchly appreciated

I actually managed to make a purchase the other day, finally! Someone I messaged a couple of weeks ago and heard nothing from, and once the updates came in I saw that the advert was 8 months old so I figured I'd not hear anything. Then out of the blue, I got a reply and eventually got it all done and dusted!

No, they used to use it, but it was owned by a different company.

Part of the problem with checking messages seems to be that the system logs you out even when you click "Remember me".

For CQB, I stick to 1x optics that I can comfortably run with both eyes open - I've used XPS3, EXPS3 and 552 holo replicas all from different brands in totally different price brackets. When outdoors, I started to attach a 3x magnifier but found it pointless in most situations unless spotting at the longest ranges of the site which, at that point, my AEG couldn't even hit. I have a 4x ACOG + RMR on my L85A2 but even then, the 4x is super overkill and the RMR is used 90% of the time. As you're new to airsoft you'll be surprised (even outdoors) how well your 1x red dot optic works unless you're in a site that offers long sight lines. IMO the only people who end up (really) needing any stronger optics are spotters or snipers.

All correct, and multi-shot shotguns is a good point, although they're a sod to chrono anyway. However to answer @ArseBurgers420's question, if you're using it at an airsoft site rather than for plinking, you'll need to stick to site limits, as well as legal limits. If you're shooting at 1.4J (and I'm seeing up to 1.5J claimed for that CO2 pistol) then you'll be sodded off from almost all CQB sites, and if woodland sites let you use it at all, it will be with to DMR limits, e.g. a 20-30m MED and one-in-the-air or 2-second delay shooting. Or they may just sod it off as well because it's essentially impossible for marshals to spot if you're breaking those rules when you're using a pistol. Keep it restricted to 1J (however you're doing that) and you can play with it anywhere in the UK, including Northern Ireland. 1J is fine, and if it's properly hopped, it'll be sending BBs as far as any other 1J gun. If you're getting less then 45-50m out of it, that's an issue with BB weight (go heavier) or hop (adjust it, clean it),

Small bit of progress. DCA have a video of the prototype. Should be out in 2025 if we are lucky. Seems like they are prioritizing the L7A2. Nice if you pre-ordered one, the M240B/L will be taking longer.

THB looking at your previous questions to the hive I'd be surprised if you didn't know about nunchuck batteries and the various types on the market. The link you posted is illegal in the UK so where are you based? I don't want to be a doubting betty but is this a fishing trip?

I played there three times when I was getting my first UKARA registration many years ago. My eldest son worked there for a while a few years ago; he had some utter horror stories about the place.

This. There's so many things in airsoft where what works for one doesn't for others. Unfortunately the only way to be sure is to try it. What red dot do you have? It might be possible to pair it with a magnifier so you can use the red dot for close range shots and flip the magnifier over for those where it's needed As they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder

I had a Gen.5 for a few months or so and I sold it because it's just another glock at the end of day. I understand that when you crave it it seems way better then what it is but I think it's extremely overhyped/overrated. 🤷‍♂️
