Not quite finished, but it'll do for now. I need to do a Brownells order to get a magpul angle grip, bipod and QD sling point, all m-lok direct mounts, but for now a few picatinny segments and the accessories from my mk12 MWS will do the job. At a glance it doesn't even look like an HPA gun. Alas, the 3d printed tournament lock on the "buffer tube" and the MTW markings are what gives it away

Re the amount of novirich gear sold second hand. In addition to the gear acquisition syndrome @ruskitsellermentioned it could be that a sizeable chunk of his target market are the players who don't want to spend time building their own upgraded gun. Not having invested time into it the chances are they're more likely to sell it on

I've got my veterans card as I did 13 years in a organisation similar to being in the military, the RAF. If you did 1 day or 22 years the card is worth getting as you can get 1/3 off every train ticket out there for 30 quid a year. going back to the original post about Novichok, there does seem to be a high number of his airsoft parts in the 2nd hand market which kind of suggests people buy them and aren't exactly happy with their purchase.

Nothing to be embarrassed of being a STAB, although I do get what you mean by stressing it was TA/reserves. Also I think it really depends what reg and unit you are in nowadays. Its the MOD who define what a Vet is so that lies with them really. I think it is interesting for me because, I tend to think of a vet as...I don't know say someone who has been in 8 years and leaves as a full screw lol. I suppose its a grey area to define though, and so "vets" come in all different forms. But maybe vet status should only be applied for "insert arbitrary number of days served here" but this is going beyond our pay grades to define I think haha. That all said, I have said this to guys who only did weeks or days - there is no shame. In my book, serving for a week or whatever it is better than never having tried and serving a day at all. Quite a few lads get injured, or ill and have no choice but to chin it off or get casevac'd. I don't really get the entire Novritsch thing and don't really know of the guy other than seeing a couple of his vids and looking at his website once or twice, but 6 months as a conscript is more than 0 months/days served, so is respectable to me. (not that serving is the only way to gain respect of course!) Now, weren't we talking about a new airsoft pistol? ? I typed in "Novritsch controversy" on youtube and all it seemed to show is clickbait titles that are actually for the most part praising him. Cheers

I'm sure there's a Namsoft game at Battle Lakes next year. I think that one was cancelled there this year? I've only heard good things about the site and I live bloody hours (and hours) away!

I occasionally mention my time in the TA but would never claim to be a veteran of any kind, I usually stress that it was the TA incase anyone suspects I'm a Walter. Closest I ever got to deployment was my call up papers for the first Gulf War, it was over before we even got in a landy. I see how many Reservists actually get deployed these days & feel embarassed about my service.

That would depend on anyone’s personal definition of veteran. Some countries define it and some don’t In the UK it is any person who has served a minimum of one day in the regular or presence armed forces (and since left), or merchant navy on a military operation. These are the qualifiers for support for service leavers, qualifying under the armed forces covenant and generally by service related charities etc with various different methods of validating that until the introduction of veterans badges and more recently the veterans card. Novritsch ‘claims’ to have trained as a sniper in his national service, and markets airsoft products including ‘sniper’ related gear Its not as if he’s claiming to be the 3rd sniper on the balcony
