Theoretical Question
ButcherBill reacted to ak2m4 for a topic
How low is low? If it's under a tenner and been a week then I'd just refund, if more then I'd wait till the specified EVRI delivery time was up. Not got a glue what this is but Royal Mail is 10 working days. I'd say 1 in every 200 packages I send goes missing only to turn up on the 10th day.1 point -
If I'm selling an item I prefer to specify a better quality of delivery service which is covered with the full value of the item in insurance cover. Royal Mail special delivery next working day by 1.00pm is my usual choice. Yes it does cost more but only ever had 1 lost parcel which was fully refunded to me after I refunded the buyer. Happy buyers means better feedback as well!1 point

Try shimming the inside of the magwell, it's common to use the fuzzy side of velcro1 point -
Theoretical Question
Doyley83 reacted to ButcherBill for a topic
I've bought several items valued between £5 -£300 from the classifieds here & the only issue I had was on a low vaue item (about £10-20), the seller refunded me with no issues & I offered to pay again if it eventually showed up. You pay your money & take your chances. TBH I've had more issues with deliveries from retailers.1 point -

One of the issues with Evri is that the package isn't really confirmed as lost and until they've paid you, this can take about 2 weeks after you've made the claim. I've had several packages go "missing" with them, I've issued a refund to the buyer, only for it to turn up at the their door a week later. But as others have said, if it is low value, just refund it. Some people are just too cheap.1 point

Dodgy delivery is the seller's problem, refund the buyer first and then handle your business if you know that the package is lost1 point -

Personally, I’d make a refund and then claim back off Evri.1 point -

Specna Arms G36 Edge Gearbox issue
Roguesooty reacted to Rogerborg for a topic
I hate it when my shaft slips out of the hole, it really puts me off my stroke. Sorry, I can't place the gearbox, but it's got what looks like the handy decocker / unlocker on it which should narrow it down for G36 afficionados. It shouldn't really matter, as gears are one of the few things that most manufacturers agree on, and are generic between V2 or V3 (or V6) gearboxen. So I'd go ahead and replace all 3 gears as a set. SHS, ZCI, whatever you fancy, along with a set of shims.1 point -
Trimming it runs the risk of ruining any air seal it has and for the sake of saving £6, not really worth it. Once the new parts turn up it’s bound to fix the issue. Seems to just be a nozzle issue now.1 point

Low fps could it be cylinder related?
Pollynator_bravo2 reacted to Colin Allen for a topic
Cylinder head is generally 22mm OD, 1.5mm cross section. Piston head is generally 24mm OD, 2.4mm cross section AK2M4 sells some slightly larger piston head O rings for slightly larger cylinders; they are 24mm OD, 2.7mm cross section.1 point -

For sale only is my WE L119A1. I didn't build this, but it's brilliant. I don't want to sell, but this gets the least use out of my three GBBrs so I need to let it go. Below is the build information from the ad that bought it from: ky custom lower with markings machined diemaco style buffer tube w/ hao lock ring machine steel barrel to correct length (so you can cqb it ) w/ army code 6” extension with removable sleeve and realistic stamp army code iron sight g&p stock, knights style grip and rail covers warlord tactical diemaco sling mount and stock pad lower ris has locking mechanism similar to upper to use the r/s end cap stowaway pistol grip (end cap lost, this happens on real grips too unfortunately) sa80 sling and WE steel m4 birdcage fh old acog ( bad sight picture but zeroed in)with red dot and dummy peq 2 will be thrown in has had a couple of receiver mods done ( see above charging handle) Internally this has a white lfs disc resulting in an fps of around 280 with .25 using WE 2.0 gas has full length Ra tech inner barrel and yellow maple leaf autobot hop rubber fitted. has also had the bolt release shimmed for reliable stop on empty. This was built for milsim and has only been fielded 2 times so internally it’s like new. Rustic paint job for coolness. Comes with the pictured accessories. I will box it up. And ship at buyers expense.£400

I found it was always worth having a look at warzones as you'll often find something different to all the people going on holiday. Early on in the Ukraine war I would often see Reaper drones or Poseidon surveillance aircraft flying over the Black Sea. There was also this last year which unfortunately I missed https://theaviationist.com/2023/11/22/usaf-ac-130j-iraq/1 point
