  1. After many months of waiting (I preordered this thing in September!) my Guns Modify Salient Arms slide arrived this morning. Needless to say, no work was done today. the slide came bundled with a half decent replica of a Trijicon RM06 but I already had a real RM01 that I'd picked up for this project, thankfully it was a 100% drop in fit! Nice crisp dot, seems to auto adjust it's brightness pretty well too, though it's not instant which is strange Bunny Workshop must've screwed up too, because they sent me the tritium night sights which I hadn't ordered, glad they did though because they look great Got a guarder frame on the way as the front screw on the Marui frame was cracked a bit and is held together with araldite and good intentions at the moment.

  2. nope, look at my previous post in this thread and it will all become clear. I have started a separate thread on my loadout for the sten now. The partisan idea is becoming more and more appealing. The gear is so complicated and it seems that if I want to do some WW2 airsofting, I need to get it right. So in case anyone else decides that a sten looks cool, I thought it best to chronicle the hell I am having to go though so they can skip the hours of research

  4. ... Until you realise that half the hits that Scout claims are those of the featured players are teammates calling hit. For example, Scout was filming a guy next to me, I get shot. on the video, the text comes up saying that it was Nash's kill.

  6. Ed, just go for one of those good old BMI altering craps, you know the type that require so much air freshner you go down to the local chapel to confess your sins against the ozone layer and beg for forgiveness.

I'm adding this as a separate post so it will go out as a new notification: I must add that some of Ed's vid's, IMO, have tipped into "semi-pro" as opposed to "amateur" and although that holds them to a higher standard of criticism, if any of you are actually following my opinion, you should know that when I say that something is "good amateur" it is implicit that I forgive faults which are not present in even "poor semi-pro", so when I'm talking about Ed's YT it's a case of, unless I point out that something is bad, assume it's broadcast quality. NB And yeah, that may sound arrogant, and maybe it is, but yes I am the arbiter of cool

    A loadout too far

I have sent an email to a company called Sabresales, who seem to stock just about every concievable bit of webbing asking for prices on everything I need now. Hopefully they are significantly cheaper than Soldier of fortune. I have also joined ww2airsoft.org forums in the hope of a bit of help. Apparently denim battledress is a possibility and would be 'allowed for most events' in WW2 airsoft. Sounds like these guys are a bit strict! I just want to shoot people with my sten gun! This project may well bankrupt me before it's finished

  10. He has the right camera equipment to do some really special stuff with the footage, especially considering the amount of it he must now have. But he just uploads it raw and adds loads of horrendously amateurish text edits over the top of everything using iMovie, literally anyone can do what he does and a lot of people could do it more proficiently. The only reason he's where he is, is because he did it first, and as a result his videos crop up in almost every airsoft related search you make, so often, the much better videos won't get any views just because his videos crop up first because of his channel status and their view counts. He could be making a killing if he spiced the videos up and monetised them, he could show case other airsoft YouTubers every week a bit like Nash has been doing. But no. Same crap, different week. If you've seen one of his videos, then you have effectively seen all of them.

His videos are so boring to the extent that I would rather staple my scrotum to the side of a bus than watch them.

I thought i'd fire up my tacticoolasfook AK-74. It was never going to be a "load-out" specific gun (if that makes sense) and it amuses me to see the look of horror and disgust on the AK purists faces when they see it. It's a look I imagine Billy Ray Cirus, has on his face allot these days. This is a 6 led torch i bought in a petrol station, it's actually really bright. i took some speaker wires I had from my Max power in car sound system days . The wires are far to big, but it adds to my budget look. i originally made a pressure plate with a mouse mate cut and wires glued in, but it stayed turned on and i was trying to sleep so it got ripped off. Now I'm using the clicker of the torch and cable tied it on. and because i found it taking the ak out, this was my shot gun sleeve i made using an old german shirt, i sewed a wire coat hanger into it for shape, and some nuts to hold the strap on. I sold the shottie, but the guy didn't want the sock, I was most offended. Now i see it again, I might have a new mk23 holder
