  2. Army tarp it is then. I will Czech out the bedding roll too...

  3. Garden tarps are heavier and not so fire resistant, mate. Plus army tarps can be press studded together in a way that keeps rain from leaking through, and they pack smaller. Something else you might be interested in is Czechoslovakian military surplus bedding roll with bivvi bag. It's a 3 layer system and cheap from a few peeps on fleabay. If you add a £10 civvi sleeping bag to it, it'd be good for 4 seasons. Well, with a foam mat anyway... Oh yeah, tip on foam mats: you can spend a 'kin fortune on them, but what you get for the extra money over a £10 one isn't as much as you get from buying a really crap £5 summer type (that is frankly not much use on its own for anything) and gaffer taping (like duct tape but black, £5/roll) the two together along their edges. You could do the north face of the Eiger with one like that for £20...

  5. Ok so here's a take down guide with loadsa pictures. ...This might actually be the most photo heavy post there's ever been on the forums. Anyway, you'll want to start off by taking the scope and its mounting bracket off, just makes it that bit easier to manoeuvre: Then you flip the rifle over and undo the two screws on the bottom, allowing you to separate the barrel, bolt and trigger assembly from the stock: The two screws are here: Note that the longer one goes by the trigger: Once they're out you can lift the barrel up and separate the two parts of the rifle: So now you're sat with this in front of you: Next you want to loosen the two screws on the right hand side, you don't need to fully remove them, they just clamp the barrel inside the receiver - if you can call it that on a sniper: Then, before you pull the barrel out, to prevent any damage coming to the fragile feeding tube, you might want to unfasten it and remove it before sliding the barrel free: Undo these two screws here: Then lift the feeding tube out - be sure to empty it of BBs first, I forgot... it holds 25 and they bounced around all over my dining room... Cat went mental. Now the barrel will slide free of the receiver: Next, we remove the trigger mechanism in order to get at the bolt assembly, to take the trigger out, remove these four screws: Then just pull it free - be aware that the parts on the sides can fall off, so you might want to take note of how they're placed in case they do: Once the trigger is free, you can just slide the bolt assembly out - there is a plastic O-ring that sits around the cylinder at the front end, it holds the barrel in the right place, so don't lose it! So now you'll have an assortment of bits in front of you, which after some organisation, ought to look something like this: So that ought to help if anyone's wanting to carry out any work on it at all. In addition to the take down, I've also taken some better photos of the bolt components and measured them with a tape measure... Not spectacularly accurate, but hopefully it'll help you all direct me to which parts will and won't fit... Here's the cylinder head: I'm not sure it comes out in the photos, but it sort of has a conical shape on the inside, I assume that's a staple thing with snipers, but I thought I'd mention it anyway. Here's the piston: It feels quite flimsy, it's a very light plastic, has a degree of flex in it. The piston head doesn't seem to be removable either. Is that normal in snipers? Spring guide - same plastic as the piston: And one of the whole bolt assembly:

  7. Ok so I have just seen some of the crap which is being said here and I want to give my opinion, Ok so I haven't played airsoft for as long as some people on this forum have, but I have played it for long enough to know that most people are friendly and are willing to give advice or help to others. What your doing is trying to say that andrew is stupid and that justbbguns are always right. Justbbguns is a business trying to make a profit, so it is in their interest to say every gun on their website is amazing and that you should buy the most expensive ammo they have. You shouldn't just believe everything they say as that could leave you buying things which are really expensive. Also how the f*** do you know that bulldog bb's are the best? Have you tried blaster bb's? How about BAW bb's? You don't know what bb's are better and neither do I so i'm not going to say which are best although personally I prefer blaster because I have never had a single imperfect bb from them. Don't just yell at everyone saying "i'm right and your wrong" because you can't know for certain that your right. I'm guessing you don't actually play airsoft with your guns which is why you think they are the best and mr justbbguns man is always right. I'm probably wrong about all of this but I dont understand why you have to try and insult others because they have had issues with something. One thing I do know is that if your gun requires a fine bb then the performance of the gun is generally better so if you use bad bb's you can jam the gun or damage it. Rage mode deactivated

  8. I see your logic but unfortunately you are wrong. If an airsoft gun is fussy about what type of BB it uses, that doesn't make it bad. It just means that it is built to finer tolerances so that it can perform better. If your gun can take any BB thrown at it, its components aren't built to a fine tolerance and as such performance isn't as good.

  9. How can you even start to talk like that to him? Seeing as you own black viper and an ls pistol, you can't downplay his choice of guns, especially calling the 'cheap crap'. If bulldogs are the best bb's you have used, then you're obviously not in any position to put down what other people use.
