ak2m4 Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 This has been in development/testing for a while now and they have stated that the price will be around $600 USD. Interested to see how many of you would stump up the readies for this?
Aengus Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 £400 give or take some then? No thanks fair enough if it was £70 - £80 but really 400 quid? Airsoft_Mr B 1
Supporters Monty Posted December 28, 2015 Supporters Posted December 28, 2015 Welp, that's killed it for me. Airsoft_Mr B 1
Root Admin proffrink Posted December 28, 2015 Root Admin Posted December 28, 2015 Bear in mind a decent number of players need to have one for the effect to be any good so yeh, no thanks. Also slap VAT and duty onto that price. Monty 1
Head Moderator Jedi_Master Posted December 28, 2015 Head Moderator Posted December 28, 2015 If it is 600 New Zealand Dollars [believe that they are a NZ company ?] then that makes the Ballistic Ordinance Sound System GS203-A1 approximately £276. But if US Dollars then £400+. It makes it a specialist piece of kit and unlikely to be for mainstream airsoft when many have guns worth much less. Edit: depends on UK retailer mark up, etc, how much the unit will actually cost. Ear protection could also be required. Airsoft_Mr B 1
Supporters Popular Post ImTriggerHappy Posted December 28, 2015 Supporters Popular Post Posted December 28, 2015 Not if it was a tenner pointless gimmick from my point of view. Watching those muricans camping around trying to look all operator put me off even more. If I wanted to watch people standing around achieving nothing I would go watch some council workers doing road repairs. djben9, Monty, deebo and 4 others 7

shortman Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Am i missing something? Is it just a sound emulator? For £400.............
Root Admin proffrink Posted December 28, 2015 Root Admin Posted December 28, 2015 It's a very good sound emitter, but it's still just a speaker, yeh. Anyhoo, at least someone in airsoft is still innovating. Perhaps a larger manufacturer will step in with something cheaper and offer some competition. New concepts are never a bad thing, even if it's this expensive to the consumer initially.
Head Moderator Jedi_Master Posted December 28, 2015 Head Moderator Posted December 28, 2015 Missed the USD part. Even though NZD gives better exchange rate, it is still an expensive extra. The size is also a bit too large for my liking, no doubt necessary for the acoustic effect but I would prefer a smaller box to attach to a side rail if I bought one. Still a better idea than using a drone.
Supporters Esoterick Posted December 28, 2015 Supporters Posted December 28, 2015 I guess it could be pretty good if everyone was running them. Not my cup of tea though, may as well have someone talking loudly next to you while you are trying to be sneaky. Jedi_Master 1
Head Moderator Jedi_Master Posted December 28, 2015 Head Moderator Posted December 28, 2015 At least it would hide that horrible whine that many guns have, and for a milsim would give the game more realism. It is a very different experience to have contact with the enemy when using blank 5.56 rounds during training or exercise, gives better understanding to 'going loud'. TheFull9 1
BBrotherwood Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 They seem to have managed to overcomplicate the very simple process of setting light to propane to move a big striker... What is the point in the key card? Extra money for something pointless. If you leave your rifle unattended then its your fault if it goes walkies. Unrustle_Thine_Jimmies and Monty 2
