  1. Hey guys, I know we already have a dedicated section but it's mostly used for site reviews, which I love reading from down here, especially Asomodai's ones, but I reckon it'll get more visibility here. I'm interested in hearing how your day went, whether it's a simple skirmish, a full day themed event or a hardcore milsim! In particular I'd like to hear anecdotes, something in particular that made (or broke) your day, or even just some venting because of one or multiple unpleasant events, maybe a super long range shot or if you snuck so close to someone you managed to tap him on the shoulder. These kinds of things Lemme start this absolute shitshow by telling you (I don't care if you don't care, you sit there and read) my day. So, today was the first game after the summer pause, it gets quite warm here in summer and people prefer to roast themselves on a beach rather than play with toy gnus, I was very excited as I took my new specna for a spin. Due to the relatively low numbers we invited another club to play with us (which from now on will be called "cheater club" but I won't bore you with the explanation), we ended up being 18 people, 12 of us + 6 of them and some randoms thrown in. The day started well, with the two first games being a little slow paced due to "the others" playing for the first time in the highest part of our field. Hit calling was generally good until the last three games. The first one of these three saw me sneaking up to 4/5 metres of an enemy sniper, who was unaware of my presence as he was focused on pinning down my teammates. Flick the gun to semi and let off a couple of shots into the only visible part, the head. Both BBs impacted. And this is where it all goes to shit. The guy visibly flinches, turns towards me and ducks into cover, to pop up later with his pistol, but I'm still there waiting, this time with the fun switch on, and let off a small bursts that gets him right in the forehead. Still flinches and dives back into cover. At this point I'm pissed, I hold down the trigger to keep him down while moving to the side to get a better shot, as we were separated by a small ridge. At this point half a flash mag has been dumped. When I get really close to him, must've been 2/3 metres at best, he pokes out of cover and lets off a nice full auto burst from his CO2 pistol in my neck. I'm not Shouty McYelly, so I call my hit and walk away. Game ends and the guy comes out of his little trench, bleeding with visible welts on his forehead. Didn't feel bad for a second about it. Also quite a few people were watching the scene so I didn't even need to say or do anything as it was pretty obvious what happened. The game after I'm on defense, I set up an ambush on a small side path on the left hand side of the objective and spot a 3 man squad coming my way, I let the first one pass and unleash hell on the second and third guy. The second enemy dives into cover while the third, a good 10/15 metres behind the other two, is still in the open, so I instantly direct the fire towards him. Now I'm not 100% sure I hit him as he was a good 40 metres away, but my gun does reach up to at least 55 metres, I was shooting down from an elevated position and the spread was still torso sized. Nonetheless, the target at first stands still in surprise and then runs away. Meh. Follows a nice exchange of bbs with my club's president (the first guy) but then I'm overran and eliminated. Still a bit puzzled by this "incident", but again, might have misjudged the distance but it seemed like I did reach that guy, as when the game ended he told me my bbs were zipping past him. The magic of airsoft and round lightweight ammunition. Then the last game of the day, we send the whole cheater club to defend a small chapel, we as attackers have two advantages. Range, because we are starting from the high ground, and terrain knowledge. We split up in 2/3 man teams as we always do, my mate and I decide to go on a huuuuge flanking maneuver that gets us behind the objective. At this point it gets ridiculous: We emerge out of cover right next to a girl who was looking at the opposite direction, none of us saw her (new nickname, Eagle Eye lol) until she moved a few branches. On the plus side she somehow didn't hear us. Great, let's spread out now so she doesn't fuck both of us up with a single sweep. Slowly creeping towards her, I flick the gun to semi, wait for my teammate to move a bit and then I pull the trigger.... Nothing, fuck's sake, the gun locked up. She notices us, turns around to shoot us but we're already behind cover: me in a dip protected by a bush, my teammate on the opposite side of the very tree she was using as cover. I draw my pistol, pop out of cover and fire 4 shots, hitting her in the side of the mask (from 3 metres, clearly saw the bbs hitting) as she was looking at my teammate. I dive back into cover, she turns around towards me and my mate puts 4 bbs in her side while she lets off a small unaimed burst between us. Note that this took some seconds so she had the time to call the hit, but she doesn't until she took my mate's balls (lul). The hit was called, but suddenly she starts yelling that she hit both of us and ran to cry about it to our club's president. I stare at my mate, he stares at me, we both shrug and keep playing. We both end up being taken out by her boyfriend, who got himself into a really cheeky position and was almost invisible from where we were (imagine a huge bush with the tiniest of tiny holes in it and a barrel barely poking out, good luck spotting that), good play by him and we complimented. A rollercoaster of a day, which started with the best premises but ended in disappointment. How did your day go? Did you have the same bad luck as me? Did you have a great time?

So I’ve got a GPMG barrel bag I picked up, believe it’s British army, thought that this would be great to take to an airsoft day as the sections for the barrels would perfectly fit gas cylinders, BB’s, Beer, anything cylindrical basically and it’s got a nice pouch on the front which could probably fit a pistol in, it’s not doing anything for me as I don’t play as much anymore so thought it’d be worth selling

Sadly I am parting ways with my crown jewel, this is my completely custom TM Mk16 NGRS, I have put a lot of money into this gun internally and externally. It runs like an absolute demon with crazy trigger response due to the gate titan and ronin brushless motor. The gearbox is completely re-built to handle anything and I have included both 11.1v and 7.4v batteries, the gun is currently locked to semi, however this can be reverted with a titan link as the mosfet is in expert mode. It is running just below the limit at around 270 fps on .32's, and can fling them pretty effortlessly at 60m+. This package comes with three batteries (1 x 11.1v 2500mah and 2 x 7.4v 2500mah), 8 x PTS NGRS magazines, all accessories on the gun apart from the sight and hand stop. I will list a full rundown of the modifications below: Internal Upgrades: - Prometheus 6.03mm Inner Barrel - Prometheus 18:1 Hard Gears - Prometheus Bearings - Prometheus Selector Plate - Gate Titan ETU Mosfet - Laylax trigger pin - Airtech Studios TDC Hop Unit - WiiTech Hop-Up - Maple Leaf Mr.Hop Bucking - WiiTech Nozzle - FPS Softair Cylinder Head - FPS Softair Cylinder Type E - FPS X-Ring Carbon Fiber Piston Head - FPS Softair Piston - FPS Softair Tappet Plate - FPS Softair Spring Guide - Warhead Industries Ronin 31K Brushless Motor - C-Tech NGRS Spring - C-Tech Recoil Connector Plate - Modified to Deans External Modifications: - PTS AEG Grip - Z-Parts Mk16 Handguard + Barrel Nut - 5KU Venom Flash Hider - BJ-Tac HRF Magwell - DCA Charging Handle - DCA Trigger - SF M300 Scout Flashlight Repro - Hayley Strategic Thorntail Repro Mount - BavTac M-Lok Rail Cover - Unity Hot Button Repro - Magpul MOE SL-S Stock - WiiTech G Style Mag Release Catch Price Includes postage and PP fees, if you have any questions or offers feel free to message me!

Vorsk VP-X with BDS Continuing to clear out the unused toys… Bought this sexy but of kit last spring, just over a year ago (I think it was from BZ Tactical), around the same time I got my current (and favourite) Glock. Virtually brand new, not even skirmished. There are couple of scuffs from storage on the slide release/body pin (pic included). Standard new-pew rush of excitement, box got thrown out. Spent ages hunting for a holster, but couldn’t find anything that either ticked my boxes or was in the affordable price bracket (way before I’d heard of Deadly-Customs too). So sadly there is no box. The extra springs & nozzles were also disposed of, as I was sure I would be able to find better ones in the future. So it’s just the pistol and 2x mags. No holster meant I didn’t want to take it out, so it just sat there in the cupboard. Bought a second mag for it in January, thinking I was going to switch out for another set up (toying with Hi-capa, Glock & 1911 platforms)… and stuck with the Glock. Tested the FPS about an hour ago (before this post)- kicking out at 308-312 on a 0.20g bb, at room temp (approx 20 Degrees C). Lovey kick & pretty damned snappy. RDS batteries still good too!!! So, here it is up for sale. Asking for £80 plus £5 for postage materials. postage will be Parcelforce 48 Express. PayPal is preferred, but will do £80 cash on collection if you live close. (OVNO) Standard UKARA/valid defence shenanigans too. Thanks for taking time to read all this!!!

  5. That settles it then. You were open about potential issues, they tested it and they accepted the risks by paying. You have no obligations to them for technical support or to offer a refund as I see it. Call me jaded but if they're still trying to pick issues, I have to question whether they may have tried tinkering with it/mishandled it, something went wrong and they're now trying to fob it off on you under the fact that it's a used gun. If they ask again, I suggest you remind them one last time you were open about the main issue and that they accepted that burden & risk when they handed over the cash. Anything more, just block them. After that, I call it harassment.
  6. Then they had ample opportunity to test it before handing over any money, so forget about entertaining talk of refunds etc, they've got feck all rights. As for the "questions", is the buyer a youngster/noob, if that's the case maybe point them here, there's a wealth of knowledge on tap, as well as a massive archive of previous threads that should cover anything they should ever want to know. Out of interest, what was the gun you sold them ?
  7. SCAMMER! Do not buy anything from him , took my rif I recently got from him to be assessed at patrol base and not one thing was right . Nothing was what he claimed it to be and was done at poor standards to the point as when i put in a battery it burst into flames!! It took him 2 whole weeks to send his end of the trade after he said he’d send it the same day. Then to top that starts selling parts from my end of the trade before he’d even posted his ! 8. Hello all and thanks in advance for the suggestions. I’m after some advice on what upgrades to get for my 6 year old M4 ngrs. I’ve already put a bigger spring in and flat hopped it with purple bucking, I’m more after advice on the gearbox side. I only ever use it in semi so I was thinking a mosfet (bonus of it not locking up, my fault I know) and while I’m in there anything else really? My budget is £400 cheers guys.
  9. Hi, Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this. My son and I have a few days free and were wondering if anyone knows of any Airsoft event happening in the UK on the 6-7th April. We've played a number of woodland battles and although very much still Noobs fancy trying something on a bigger scale. Maybe a mix of Urban and Woodland, village, factory. Is there anything going on that might suit us? Thanks

Is anyone selling any gas or electric rifles in Aberdeen,Scotland? Thanks!

    NO VALUE SPECIFIED

  11. Like we should expect anything else
  12. With that budget, the best I could suggest is trying to find a WE G36. They're relatively cheap, often around £200 and they're relatively reliable and perform decently. There is also the AA R36 (which is a clone of the WE) for £220 and they're normally readily available, plus they come with 2 mags, however, they are a bit cheap quality wise. An SMG setup *may* be a little cheaper. If you're lucky to find a decent one second hand, KWA MP9's are decent guns which sell for £250ish normally, however, they are prone to breakdowns which are normally common so unless you know what's going on with 'em, don't get one. (the VORSK VMP1 seems like a nice alternative though I have no experience on them so I can't comment). Other than that, a gen 2 VFC or a TM MP7 would be the safer bet. You will be hard pressed to find anything for £240 that is decent enough to last, and leaves enough room to buy magazines and gas. It's best to save up and buy yourself something nice like a MWS or a Gen 2/3 VFC AR/416 (or the aforementioned SMG's) and get a few more mags with them.

    THE TM MWS thread

Hello, I've been doing airsoft a couple of years but I'm very new to GBBR and the mk18 mws is my first gas gun so apologise for any stupid questions, any help is massively appreciated! Firstly I got the gun out read the manuals (looked at the pictures) there was one picture that confused me abit about splitting the gun as I've never done it before and don't want to be stuck if I ever need to, what position does the bolt need to be in when taking out the pins and splitting, logic tells me forward but I've learnt not to trust logic haha. Also is there anything else i should know? Secondly is there anything I should change or do to the gun immediately or just wait until I need to do it. I have had a look on YouTube but everyone seems to call things different names and I'm not massively clued up anyway. Third I made the decision to use nuprol 2.0 green gas as I couldn't find any dry gas available in the uk and I don't mind the extra maintenance (once I know how), problem is I use 0.28g and its firing 305fps which would be too hot for uk limits but then it fires 330 on 0.20g which is ok so I'm not really sure how that is happening and what I need to do if I want to use 0.28g as I'm worried about using weaker gas incase i break something. Finally, using green gas, how often would you recommend cleaning. i attend games every Sunday sometimes every other Sunday. Once again thank you for any help i didn't realise how stressful it would be but i kind of like it haha.
  15. Hi all, I’m a relatively experienced airsofter & have been playing with AEGs for the past 18 years… Recently I’ve dipped my toe into the GBBR world & come into possession of a WE open bolt SCAR H. This thing is an absolute beast & the recoil is mega. Just wondering what the verdict is on these things? Like, what’s the life expectancy of the stock parts… is there anything I should consider upgrading before even playing with it? Any advice ref parts & reliable UK based retailers/stockists for said parts would be great. Thanks in advance!! Picture is just for attention…
  16. Need, maybe not, but I'd always choose higher C (and higher capacity) over lower. Although with the caveat that anyone can claim anything, and very rarely have it tested. Hmm, I might suggest airsoft batteries to to ProjectFarm... 🤔
  17. If anything shorter, in that it's highly likely that the nozzle is ever so slightly too long for the hop unit so when pulled back a BB cannot always enter it (especially if you're firing rapidly). Vernier callipers and a selection of nozzles in your own "airsoft parts bin" always helps

  19. Coming to you as a total non-connoisseur, who just knocks back anything that'll get me buzzin', is the Brugal and Barcelo stuff I've got from the Caribbean any good, or is it Just For Them Touristas?
  20. I'm going to do this review slightly differnetly from normal. Usually I'd take the AEG to bits and talk about the good and bad parts but there are plenty of youtube videos out there comparing the GBLS to other platforms and very little on what it is like to use one. I'll cover the elephant in the room, the price, later on in the review and give my thoughts. So this is my GBLS and I bought the budget/skeleton kit for a couple of reasons. As much as the full rifle is nice I was never going to keep the supplied rail and was probably always going to make my own verison (Mk18 ish in my case however this might change to a MK16 or L119A2 depending on what I finally settle on). If you have been living under a rock a little bit about what the GBLS is might help..or not. It's not a GBB rifle but it uses a similar design, it's not really a typical AEG but it uses a similar design. Confused? Well the closest thing to it would probably be the TOP M4 shell ejecting M4 but the GBLS doesn't eject shells. Inside the lower receiver you will find the gearbox and in the pistol grip is the motor. In the upper receiver you will find full sized bolt. Inside the bolt is the piston head and spring. The way it works is you pull the charging handle to the rear and when you release it it pushes the bolt forward and chambers a BB in the hop unit. You pull the trigger and this releases the compressed spring which pushes air out the front of the bolt propelling the BB out the barrel. At the same time the gearbox kicks in and cycles the bolt again and loads another BB. If set to semi it does this once. If set to auto it does that until every BB is fired out the magazine and the bolt locks in the rear position and you then take out the mag, replace with a fresh mag and hit the bolt release which loads a BB in the hop. I'm going to be aiming these next comments to people who have been skirmishing a while and use PTW's, GBB's and NGRS's. You know that way on a PTW you can get a quick double tap off quickly and both BB's will mostly likely hit the target. On the GBLS that's not going to happen. Well it will but you are going to have to train with it to get a grip with the recoil as after the first cycle of the bolt your aim will be off by quite a bit. You know the way when you full auto a GBB rifle and the FPS drops about 30 or 40 from the first shot to the 35th shot. Yeah that doesn't happen. The FPS is consistant from BB 1 to BB 60. You know that sound and slight recoil you get when you fire a NGRS well that doesn't happen. You get a very nice kick and quite a loud sound as the bolt slams forward. I'm not having a go at these other platforms as I have them all and enjoy them but the GBLS is just a bit different and in a good way. I'll do a few more comparisons to the other platforms so that the more experienced players get where I'm coming from. On the GBB it's great to have the bolt lock back making you do a mag swap, slap the bolt release and get back in the game. When I run a GBB (MWS, GHK, VFC, or any of the others I run) I'm always concerned that the gas I'm using which was under the site limits at the start of the day is now pushing the BB's above the site limit because it's now the afternoon and it's 10 degrees hotter. I'm also concerned that in the colder months in the UK I'm not getting the best from the platform because it's cold so tend not to use them. The GBLS gives me the mag swaps and the recoil I get from my GBB's but at a consistant FPS the whole year. The recoil is probably just as good as my MWS running sub 350 FPS and if there is a difference it's hardly noticable. On the PTW or a NGRS with a Titan fitted I get some nice snappy shots off. I don't get this on the GBLS. My first shot is snappy and on target but the 2nd shot will need adjusting (GBB people will know what I'm talking about). On the GBLS the trigger pull feels very real. I've heard that the trigger pull was about 10 lb but mine seems to be about 8. It feels very realistic with a nice break and reset. It feels more realistic than my GBB's never mind the PTW and NGRS. My opinion at the moment is the GBLS DAS is more realistic than a PTW or NGRS and more reliable than a GBB. Before I move on to price I'll mention the following. I ordered 2 Nupol 11.1V 30C Lipoi batteries as I thought the GBLS might eat through a battery since it's shifting the heavy bolt back and forward. I used 16 full mags today on 1 battery and there is still plenty of juice left in it so it doesn't seem to be current hungry. I had zero jams, stoppages or feeding problems with the 8 mags I used (although I did loose one somewhere along with a Glock 19 but thats another story!). I took it out the box, set the hop with 0.3g blaster BB's and was easily hitting 55 meters with accuracy and the FPS is running at around 320 (on a 0.2g BB). To be clear I have done nothing to it, straight out the box if fires flawlessly and that leads into the price. So £1350 for a toy gun is quite excessive or is it? Let's have a look at the other toys out there. Let's start with the GBB as this is probably the cheapest platform when comparing it to the rest unless you look at the running costs over a long period of time. So a MWS is around £500 then you add 7 more mags at £45 a pop. Let's also remember that carrying 8 BGG mags is a chore as they weigh a ton. Let's say you want to get the best range out to 55/60 meters so you might chuck in a tightbore and maple leaf rubber and possibly a NPAS to control the FPS. So you are probably looking at about a grand now. TM NGRS can be a bit of a money pit when it comes to getting the best out of them. £550 for the AEG, £150 for the titan, 8 mags at £25 each, tightbore, S hop, new spring and spring guide and possibly reinforced gears to replace the soft TM gears. We are probably at around £1200 now. PTW's are anywhere from £1200 to £2000 depending on the model you buy but then you have spare mags, possibly get the hop sorted, have the electrics waterproofed and then maybe have the motor rewired. God knows the final price of a full tuned PTW. I hate to think how much I've spent over the years on them. At this point you might be seeing the point I'm trying to make. £1350 plus £35 a mag doesn't seem that expensive when you don't have to upgrade/replace/rewire anything and it justs works as advertised out the box and is more realisitc and reliably than the other platforms. Are there any negatives? I know of 1 and heard of another but never experienced it. The electronic board in the gearbox doesn't like to get wet or so I have heard. Tell me a titan or Systema board that does. My only slight gripe is the metal mags rattle a bit inside the magwell. This is genuinely the only negative I could find with the GBLS. Is it the best airsoft gun in the world? well no but it is the most reliably realistic one out there and it's very much a nice experience using it. I'll finish this review of with a couple of notes. I handed it to about 10 team mates today and everyone had a stupid smile on their face after that first shot. I think a few AEG's will be getting sold off shortly to fund a GBLS. I'm probably going to be one of the ones selling other AEG's as I see that there is now a HK 416 GBLS. I'm not in anyway associated with GBLS but if you want to send me the steel bolt and Type B buffer I'm not going to get upset. Just saying.
  21. Re black gas, in freezing conditions its pressure is considerably reduced, yes if you are stupid and use it when warmer breakages will occur. You are correct Parker gun oil does not contain PTFE or any other modern slippery substance, it is a mineral oil of which its natural properties provide lubrication. It is also lightweight, so it penetrates, does not clog, and it cleans, it is not a one time treatment, it is meant to be applied and removed with each usage of the RIF just as you would a real firearm. I mean i havent run MWS's since they came out or anything.
  22. Dunno about this, couple thousand through and my DE's nozzle is fine and I've been using TM mags, and most people recommend using the GM mags with the DE because the DE mags are based off the GM mags (The GMs are just better though). On the gas end, The max anyone should be putting through the MWS is red, black is overkill even in 0c, remember this gun was made to run duster gas in japan which has climates varying from scalding in the southerner areas to below freezing in the northernmost areas. Red is good for even 0c if you do your due diligence with sealing (Which is really required for running any gbbr in winter). Black gas is way more likely to break your gun (or even your mags, i found out). On the oil thing, I'll admit im not lubrication expert. So I'd never heard of Parker Hale gun oil, and after looking at it, it doesn't seem to contain anything that provides a boundary lubricant (e.g. PTFE/Syncolon my beloved). It's marketed as a rust preventer(?). What makes you recommend that?

This hasn't been skirmished in the few months I've owned it. I simply added an M110 spring and set the hop for 0.28's. So it's in excellent overall condition, which I've tried to capture in the photos. Below is the description from a retailer: The new GEN3 Lancer Tactical series offers the same characteristics as the Proline series by combining a Gen2 Series Polymer body and an ETU NEBULA programmable electronic trigger, making it one of the most versatile and powerful products on the market!
