I'm starting a new thread as I've been trampling over other people's too often recently, and as I've got my own chrono and a desire to do the simple things on my own, I thought I'd record stuff here, and ask for related advice. Background: New Double Eagle M906C delivered start of November. Didn't open it up to clean it out, just straight off to three skirmishes where it's performed very well in-game but with two caveats: 1) Low rate of fire on 7.4v. Especially so after a cold day on the field. In warm conditions it's shooting 11.6 rps on 7.4v, 16.4 rps on 11.1v. That'll do me. 2) Low muzzle velocity. Very variable figures seen, anything from a low of 230fps on a very cold site, to 300fps in my house, but also down at 270fps in the same conditions. The odd thing about the muzzle velocity differences are they stay consistent each time, so each day / test the readings are all very similar, within +-5fps Intended actions: 1) Crack open the receiver, check the gun looks ok internally 2) Spray some lube into the nozzle (leave for a while, then shoot it out before re-assembly) 3) Change stock hop rubber to 50C (Light green) Maple Leaf Macaron 4) Change stock hop nub to Omega 5) Change spring to M100 or M105 'Before' testing: With gun at room temperature, chrono'd at 270-280fps. Accuracy test with cheapo BB Kings 0.25g Bio BB's, 15m measured, fired from room @ 19-20C, 2C ambient temp outside, light wind, bench rest, Kobra red dot, approx 30 shots Results: 1) I've cracked open the gun... The front receiver pin was stiff and it took some hammering, but very easy to slide off the top receiver after that (once I'd worked out the dust cover needs to be closed, or it'll get blocked by it). No damage to the nozzle. Barrel was quite clean, but not perfect, so ran some cotton swabs through it. There's evidence of light greasing on the piston - everything looks good (neither under or over lubed) to my untutored eye 2) Sprayed the Ultrair silicon lube into the nozzle and left it while I did everything else. Then blasted out the excess with a few shots before reassembly. 3) Replaced the hop rubber. The old one seemed fine, lubed on the outside but clean-ish on the inside. It definitely worked ok as I've managed to over-hop 0.30g BBs a few weeks ago. 4) Attempted to replace the nub. The Omega is simply too large to fit into the hop arm... Have I bought the wrong one somehow??? @ak2m4 perhaps you could tell me? 5) Replaced the spring. This was really easy thanks to the quick-change system. (I wish my TM AK had the same, breaking the gearbox open was a real pain and left me with a bill for someone else to put it back together!) The stock tube bolt needs a long-shafted no4 Hex bit to undo. The spring end plate thing needs as wide a flat-head screwdriver as you can find (to make it super-easy). The spring guide is nicely engineered. The interesting thing is I've tried two springs in there: Action Army M100 - much shorter than the stock spring, gave 320fps with 0.25g BB's (no hop) ASG M105 - either longer than the stock spring, or about the same length... it's still in the gun so can't compare now... 320fps Which just goes to show you can't trust the manufacturer's ratings, gotta try the springs yourself. And the acid test, 0.20g BBs with a bit of hop applied ... 345-350fps. Yaaaasssssssss! So, I'm really rather happy. I've successfully 'done things' without apparently buggering-up my gun, mostly thanks to the nice way it's been designed and built by DE. And the muzzle velocity is up to the site limit, and still seems to be consistent. Though obviously it's changed from day-to-day before, so I'll have to keep my eye on that! I'll re-test the accuracy tomorrow, but obviously I'd rather do it with the Omega nub in place. Still, it'll be interesting to see what difference the other changes have made first. I'll also chill the gun outside, see if that affects the fps.

Hi Guys, Looking for a bit of help. I've had an Evike order of parts held by UPS. There is a plethora of threads on importing RIF's and handling this documentation but can't find the relevant information in regards to Parts. The part in question is a (not cheap) Laylax Nitro RIS Guard. Attached is a picture of the item. The form sent through by UPS is for 'RIF' Declaration. I've also attached this form for reference. RIF declaration_blank.pdf I was an ehobbyasia regular shopper years ago and never seen anything like this. It's very geared towards the import of actual RIF's and I'm struggling to decipher what is and isn't needed here. I don't have a valid UKARA number, It's been over a decade since I last Skirmished, I'm just trying to get back into it and step 1 was to resurrect my old guns. I don't believe under the UKARA/VCRA I'm required to provide a skirmisher number for this part but the document appears to be written in such a way that it requires it. Any help is appreciated. 31/03/2025 EDIT: I received the parts without any real issue. I completed the form detailing that it's not a RIF/IF, has no velocity because it is not a RIF/IF and as it was a part/accessory could not be used to manufacture an RIF/IF. Released without issue. If you are in a similar position please be mindful of these things. I don't want to hijack the purpose of this thread but when it comes to importing actual RIF/IF's (as has been discussed later in the thread) I offer no advice and I can only reccomend you to contact your favourite local Retailer and work with them to get what you're after. In my experience most will be happy to support you even if they don't stock the item themselves.

I lost mine when cleaning the mag, I ended up using the spring from inside a pen & just cut it down but also had it when the mag wasn’t locking back on empty it wasn’t anything to do with the spring Try this it worked for me

Hey guys, I know we already have a dedicated section but it's mostly used for site reviews, which I love reading from down here, especially Asomodai's ones, but I reckon it'll get more visibility here. I'm interested in hearing how your day went, whether it's a simple skirmish, a full day themed event or a hardcore milsim! In particular I'd like to hear anecdotes, something in particular that made (or broke) your day, or even just some venting because of one or multiple unpleasant events, maybe a super long range shot or if you snuck so close to someone you managed to tap him on the shoulder. These kinds of things Lemme start this absolute shitshow by telling you (I don't care if you don't care, you sit there and read) my day. So, today was the first game after the summer pause, it gets quite warm here in summer and people prefer to roast themselves on a beach rather than play with toy gnus, I was very excited as I took my new specna for a spin. Due to the relatively low numbers we invited another club to play with us (which from now on will be called "cheater club" but I won't bore you with the explanation), we ended up being 18 people, 12 of us + 6 of them and some randoms thrown in. The day started well, with the two first games being a little slow paced due to "the others" playing for the first time in the highest part of our field. Hit calling was generally good until the last three games. The first one of these three saw me sneaking up to 4/5 metres of an enemy sniper, who was unaware of my presence as he was focused on pinning down my teammates. Flick the gun to semi and let off a couple of shots into the only visible part, the head. Both BBs impacted. And this is where it all goes to shit. The guy visibly flinches, turns towards me and ducks into cover, to pop up later with his pistol, but I'm still there waiting, this time with the fun switch on, and let off a small bursts that gets him right in the forehead. Still flinches and dives back into cover. At this point I'm pissed, I hold down the trigger to keep him down while moving to the side to get a better shot, as we were separated by a small ridge. At this point half a flash mag has been dumped. When I get really close to him, must've been 2/3 metres at best, he pokes out of cover and lets off a nice full auto burst from his CO2 pistol in my neck. I'm not Shouty McYelly, so I call my hit and walk away. Game ends and the guy comes out of his little trench, bleeding with visible welts on his forehead. Didn't feel bad for a second about it. Also quite a few people were watching the scene so I didn't even need to say or do anything as it was pretty obvious what happened. The game after I'm on defense, I set up an ambush on a small side path on the left hand side of the objective and spot a 3 man squad coming my way, I let the first one pass and unleash hell on the second and third guy. The second enemy dives into cover while the third, a good 10/15 metres behind the other two, is still in the open, so I instantly direct the fire towards him. Now I'm not 100% sure I hit him as he was a good 40 metres away, but my gun does reach up to at least 55 metres, I was shooting down from an elevated position and the spread was still torso sized. Nonetheless, the target at first stands still in surprise and then runs away. Meh. Follows a nice exchange of bbs with my club's president (the first guy) but then I'm overran and eliminated. Still a bit puzzled by this "incident", but again, might have misjudged the distance but it seemed like I did reach that guy, as when the game ended he told me my bbs were zipping past him. The magic of airsoft and round lightweight ammunition. Then the last game of the day, we send the whole cheater club to defend a small chapel, we as attackers have two advantages. Range, because we are starting from the high ground, and terrain knowledge. We split up in 2/3 man teams as we always do, my mate and I decide to go on a huuuuge flanking maneuver that gets us behind the objective. At this point it gets ridiculous: We emerge out of cover right next to a girl who was looking at the opposite direction, none of us saw her (new nickname, Eagle Eye lol) until she moved a few branches. On the plus side she somehow didn't hear us. Great, let's spread out now so she doesn't fuck both of us up with a single sweep. Slowly creeping towards her, I flick the gun to semi, wait for my teammate to move a bit and then I pull the trigger.... Nothing, fuck's sake, the gun locked up. She notices us, turns around to shoot us but we're already behind cover: me in a dip protected by a bush, my teammate on the opposite side of the very tree she was using as cover. I draw my pistol, pop out of cover and fire 4 shots, hitting her in the side of the mask (from 3 metres, clearly saw the bbs hitting) as she was looking at my teammate. I dive back into cover, she turns around towards me and my mate puts 4 bbs in her side while she lets off a small unaimed burst between us. Note that this took some seconds so she had the time to call the hit, but she doesn't until she took my mate's balls (lul). The hit was called, but suddenly she starts yelling that she hit both of us and ran to cry about it to our club's president. I stare at my mate, he stares at me, we both shrug and keep playing. We both end up being taken out by her boyfriend, who got himself into a really cheeky position and was almost invisible from where we were (imagine a huge bush with the tiniest of tiny holes in it and a barrel barely poking out, good luck spotting that), good play by him and we complimented. A rollercoaster of a day, which started with the best premises but ended in disappointment. How did your day go? Did you have the same bad luck as me? Did you have a great time?

I think we lack a thread for the more creative and technical side of things like homemade accessories and 3D printing/CAD. So... what have you made? Or, are making right now? Can be anything from cutting and filing some mask to suit you, to more grandiose projects like making your own ghillie suit, or some 3D CAD model of yet another M4 handguard. Concepts and ideas are cool too if you have something to visualize it. I guess I'll start: Made a lightweight outer barrel for an M4 from scratch in fusion360: Gonna make a lightweight handguard to pair with it and then print them both in a bronze/copper finish. Dramatic weight losses inc.

OOOOOOKAY Then. Something else has been released so I’m selling off a few bits to get it, see my other ads too. Here’s a cool 417 package. Unskirimished, with the original packaging. I bought it used from surplusstore where it was traded in, apparently unskirmished before me. It did not come to me with iron sights, I have replaced them and will include. I have replaced the handguard with the shorter one from VFC for the assaulter look. It does have sone signs of “character” as the VFC finishes aren’t as nice as the Maruis. I will include the original parts to return it to its original design. I’ve also given it an A5 curved trigger guard because it looks better. Will include original too. All stock internals as far as I can see. I’ve not had any need to open up the gearbox or anything. I have taken the receivers apart and noticed that the small reinforcement tabs on the rear of the upper had sheered off and were still in the lower. However, this affects its performance or aesthetics in no way, the receivers still lick in together nicely as there’s still plenty of the main part of the tabs, (circled bits in the picture are all that’s missing) previous owner must’ve overloaded the original front end or something. new upper can be purchased here if it’s still an issue https://eagle6.co.uk/product/tokyo-marui-hk417-upper-receiver-for-hk417-next-generation-recoil-shock-series That as well as this still puts this at a great deal. Shoots very very nicely l, recoil is heaftier a than all the other Ngrs guns and it’s doing around 300fps out the box on a .2g bb. comes with 5 mid caps and a high cap magazine. And a deans converter. message for more info. Price plus £10 towards postage, or collection from Hertford or central London. open to sensible offers but please don’t message me asking for my best price. Listed price is currently my best price.£550

Some things i can think that you haven't specified. First is the hop setting, being too far off can give weird shenanigans with fps dropping off to the point the bb can almost be just rolling out the barrel. Likewise too far on you can hit a second "sweet spot" where the bb is being massively restricted but spun so much it flies anyway. I typically aim for visually ~1-1.5mm of protrusion into the barrel (flatter buckings like ml macaronss you want less than standard buckings) as a vague ballpark when actually setting it on a range isn't viable. Second is midcap syndrome, if you're trying on a fully stuffed mag or one with a larger capacity (ie bigger than ~140 rounds for a standard m4 midcap) then the first few shots can fail to feed well due to the pressure on the bb stack, this will typically cure itself as the mag clears. A good test is to try with a hicap. The third is that there might be a restriction somewhere, from memory on a ~250mm barrel i was running barely 20psi to get 1j, had to swap out to the low flow poppet so i could run it at ~80psi at 1j with the higher pressure helping it cycle. A kinked line or crap somewhere blocking a port. I'd be double checking to be sure the ptfe added to the igl isn't covering the end or had a peice blow into the system. Final thing is it'd be worth checking if you're running in closed or open bolt mode. i think it's dr is the one that controls how long it waits for the nozzle to push the round into the chamber before sending the main air blast. The manual tells you its something like 14ms without any restriction so you might wanna raise it above that (or just max it out) see if it does anything. Thats unlikely to be the culprit specifically for semi auto when in closed bolt mode as the round is starting already in the chamber.

Ok, so I upgraded the spring in my ngrs 416 a few months ago to eek out some more fps And it’s been working flawlessly until this weekend. I haven’t upgraded anything else other than the hop rubbber Running it on a Titan 7.4, it’s had probably 6k rounds through it since the spring change…. The issues seem to have started with the Ambi selector switch I noticed that the right side (as you are looking down the replica) was out of sync with the left side, so removing the motor then pistol grip allowed me to align them again, and all was well. This weekend saw that issue return, so I duly repeated that process and got on with my days play. If I was shooting semi quickly, the gun would jam, a quick flick to full auto, then back to semi would sort it. But this weekend saw that issue return, and flicking the selector did not resolve the problem, the gun did nothing. I unplugged the battery, and back in again , and still nothing. As it sits, it’s back to firing, but obviously something isn’t happy and I have upset the TM fairies that live inside! Not being a competent aeg tech, I’m wondering where I should start to look? Selector switch? Selector plate? The mechanism that cuts off power when mag is empty? The gearbox all sounds ok, and no strange noises from the motor, no excessive heat from anywhere, and the battery isn’t getting warm. I probably had put 2500 rounds through it on the weekend, and it started acting up at the end of the day Could it just be low voltage from a drained battery (7.4 v 3000 mah Titan) I checked it’s voltage on my charger when I got home and it showed 7.7v , it’s normally showing 8.4v when fully charged Where should I start?
-
Hey folks. This is a new one on me. I brought one of these second hand admittedly and it went out to skirmish this weekend. It seemed to fire fine but when switching back to safe it was like the bbs dropped out and the power died. It’s got EBB on it and I was using a 7.4v lipo 2500mah. The behaviour was like the battery was dead. Does anyone know anything about this model?

Hello. I have a pretty old m4 replica that I really like the look of, so I would like to upgrade it instead of buying a new one. Right now it sounds reallllly bad, each shot you can hear how shimming is out of the way, it almost cries every shot. I dont want to only shim it, I would also like to make it much more responsive (trigger). I dont really care much about RPS if that means anything. So for that, which motor (Europe) up to about 40 - maybe 50 EUR would you recommend for that? Also, what about the other parts like the cylinder, heads, spring, etc? What brand, or even maybe what exact part would you recommend for those. For the mosfet, I am thinking to go with perun. Thanks

I'm going to do this review slightly differnetly from normal. Usually I'd take the AEG to bits and talk about the good and bad parts but there are plenty of youtube videos out there comparing the GBLS to other platforms and very little on what it is like to use one. I'll cover the elephant in the room, the price, later on in the review and give my thoughts. So this is my GBLS and I bought the budget/skeleton kit for a couple of reasons. As much as the full rifle is nice I was never going to keep the supplied rail and was probably always going to make my own verison (Mk18 ish in my case however this might change to a MK16 or L119A2 depending on what I finally settle on). If you have been living under a rock a little bit about what the GBLS is might help..or not. It's not a GBB rifle but it uses a similar design, it's not really a typical AEG but it uses a similar design. Confused? Well the closest thing to it would probably be the TOP M4 shell ejecting M4 but the GBLS doesn't eject shells. Inside the lower receiver you will find the gearbox and in the pistol grip is the motor. In the upper receiver you will find full sized bolt. Inside the bolt is the piston head and spring. The way it works is you pull the charging handle to the rear and when you release it it pushes the bolt forward and chambers a BB in the hop unit. You pull the trigger and this releases the compressed spring which pushes air out the front of the bolt propelling the BB out the barrel. At the same time the gearbox kicks in and cycles the bolt again and loads another BB. If set to semi it does this once. If set to auto it does that until every BB is fired out the magazine and the bolt locks in the rear position and you then take out the mag, replace with a fresh mag and hit the bolt release which loads a BB in the hop. I'm going to be aiming these next comments to people who have been skirmishing a while and use PTW's, GBB's and NGRS's. You know that way on a PTW you can get a quick double tap off quickly and both BB's will mostly likely hit the target. On the GBLS that's not going to happen. Well it will but you are going to have to train with it to get a grip with the recoil as after the first cycle of the bolt your aim will be off by quite a bit. You know the way when you full auto a GBB rifle and the FPS drops about 30 or 40 from the first shot to the 35th shot. Yeah that doesn't happen. The FPS is consistant from BB 1 to BB 60. You know that sound and slight recoil you get when you fire a NGRS well that doesn't happen. You get a very nice kick and quite a loud sound as the bolt slams forward. I'm not having a go at these other platforms as I have them all and enjoy them but the GBLS is just a bit different and in a good way. I'll do a few more comparisons to the other platforms so that the more experienced players get where I'm coming from. On the GBB it's great to have the bolt lock back making you do a mag swap, slap the bolt release and get back in the game. When I run a GBB (MWS, GHK, VFC, or any of the others I run) I'm always concerned that the gas I'm using which was under the site limits at the start of the day is now pushing the BB's above the site limit because it's now the afternoon and it's 10 degrees hotter. I'm also concerned that in the colder months in the UK I'm not getting the best from the platform because it's cold so tend not to use them. The GBLS gives me the mag swaps and the recoil I get from my GBB's but at a consistant FPS the whole year. The recoil is probably just as good as my MWS running sub 350 FPS and if there is a difference it's hardly noticable. On the PTW or a NGRS with a Titan fitted I get some nice snappy shots off. I don't get this on the GBLS. My first shot is snappy and on target but the 2nd shot will need adjusting (GBB people will know what I'm talking about). On the GBLS the trigger pull feels very real. I've heard that the trigger pull was about 10 lb but mine seems to be about 8. It feels very realistic with a nice break and reset. It feels more realistic than my GBB's never mind the PTW and NGRS. My opinion at the moment is the GBLS DAS is more realistic than a PTW or NGRS and more reliable than a GBB. Before I move on to price I'll mention the following. I ordered 2 Nupol 11.1V 30C Lipoi batteries as I thought the GBLS might eat through a battery since it's shifting the heavy bolt back and forward. I used 16 full mags today on 1 battery and there is still plenty of juice left in it so it doesn't seem to be current hungry. I had zero jams, stoppages or feeding problems with the 8 mags I used (although I did loose one somewhere along with a Glock 19 but thats another story!). I took it out the box, set the hop with 0.3g blaster BB's and was easily hitting 55 meters with accuracy and the FPS is running at around 320 (on a 0.2g BB). To be clear I have done nothing to it, straight out the box if fires flawlessly and that leads into the price. So £1350 for a toy gun is quite excessive or is it? Let's have a look at the other toys out there. Let's start with the GBB as this is probably the cheapest platform when comparing it to the rest unless you look at the running costs over a long period of time. So a MWS is around £500 then you add 7 more mags at £45 a pop. Let's also remember that carrying 8 BGG mags is a chore as they weigh a ton. Let's say you want to get the best range out to 55/60 meters so you might chuck in a tightbore and maple leaf rubber and possibly a NPAS to control the FPS. So you are probably looking at about a grand now. TM NGRS can be a bit of a money pit when it comes to getting the best out of them. £550 for the AEG, £150 for the titan, 8 mags at £25 each, tightbore, S hop, new spring and spring guide and possibly reinforced gears to replace the soft TM gears. We are probably at around £1200 now. PTW's are anywhere from £1200 to £2000 depending on the model you buy but then you have spare mags, possibly get the hop sorted, have the electrics waterproofed and then maybe have the motor rewired. God knows the final price of a full tuned PTW. I hate to think how much I've spent over the years on them. At this point you might be seeing the point I'm trying to make. £1350 plus £35 a mag doesn't seem that expensive when you don't have to upgrade/replace/rewire anything and it justs works as advertised out the box and is more realisitc and reliably than the other platforms. Are there any negatives? I know of 1 and heard of another but never experienced it. The electronic board in the gearbox doesn't like to get wet or so I have heard. Tell me a titan or Systema board that does. My only slight gripe is the metal mags rattle a bit inside the magwell. This is genuinely the only negative I could find with the GBLS. Is it the best airsoft gun in the world? well no but it is the most reliably realistic one out there and it's very much a nice experience using it. I'll finish this review of with a couple of notes. I handed it to about 10 team mates today and everyone had a stupid smile on their face after that first shot. I think a few AEG's will be getting sold off shortly to fund a GBLS. I'm probably going to be one of the ones selling other AEG's as I see that there is now a HK 416 GBLS. I'm not in anyway associated with GBLS but if you want to send me the steel bolt and Type B buffer I'm not going to get upset. Just saying.

So i have two brand new VFC MP5s. Neither have had more than maybe 3 magazines through them and last time i shot one it felt down on power and let a load of gas out the ejection port. A look at the magazine shows the front of the rubber gas router has a chunk taken out of it. (Another magazine has the same to a lesser extent.) I bought a new nozzle and some new gas routers, but wondering if anyone else has encountered anything similar? Looks like i just need to shave a little off the loading "finger" or chamfer the leading edge. Many thanks, Moose.

Having not bought anything airsoft for... days.. i decided it was time for some upgrade parts. 510mm Maple Leaf Crazy Jet inner barrel and Flamingo hop rubber for my SCAR-H MK20. 74mm, 138mm, 210mm and 330mm Unicorn inner barrels + hop rubbers to fit USP Compact, MP5K PDW, MP5A5 and SCAR-H. And 3 M90+ NGRS springs to fit my two MP5s and my 416 Delta. And now to look at some more optics and try to resist buying them.. 😕 -
Just got a clearance sale 30% off promotion email from Wolf, but at the bottom was a banner; Anyone heard anything about this?

Double Eagle M906C - Internal upgrades / tinkering
Herrgh replied to RostokMcSpoons's topic in Electric Guns
I've already run into my first problem: The Perun won't sit flat against the side of the gearbox case because of the "bump" circled below. The Perun magnet holder that is affixed to the trigger is making contact with the horizontal post indicated with the arrow. As far as I can tell the "bump" doesn't appear to do anything. I'll have to file these down to make everything fit. What tool do I need to obtain to do this? -
It's worth noting that he does sell these as part of his job, with anything of a 'first batch' nature the usual argument of 'he wouldn't sell it if it sucked' doesn't really hold up unfortunately, so perhaps a pinch of salt is advised. I'm still planning to get their PP19 when it comes out, but I haven't really seen enough yet to say enough about wellpro's capability aside from the teething issues that have been brought up like double feeding

I’ve never had any issues with them. I’ve used them for many purchases and usually their items are well priced. And it helps if you know what you are after. Always shop about, ask questions first if unsure of anything.

Hi, I haven't fit this to anything so I can't confirm how well it fits, but it is noted it is NOT original from my best research. I also have an ebay account in which i sell other DDR items - i wasn't allowed to sell this there. Transactions can occur on paypal, and shipping with royal mail tracked 48 is included in the price - no pickups.£40
