  1. Thanks for pointing that out chock, all sorted it now buddy Its such a shame that the WW2 veterans are passing away but they'll forever be with there 'brothers' and family's We will never forget those who have given the ultimate sacrife for what we have today A little boy who was less than 2 years old who with his Ex Royal Marines dad, was wearing a small hoodie with the royal marines blazer patch embroidered on it, they were both wearing his dads medals, your never to young to mark your respect on this day
  2. My boys did aswell, there in the local Rifles army cadet band and today was there 1st time Soooo wish I could still be on parade but I always attend as a spectator in shirt, regimental tie etc
  3. Its not just common wealth soldiers who fought in the great war You Americans did aswell
  4. "As we grow old, Those who shall not grow old" "We will remember them" Good luck today for all those adults and kids taking part today, fingers crossed the weather holds off until this evening when everyone's home
  5. I've checked with the site I play at and the player Marshall said as long its controlled, its fine But then I thought, why use a box mag when the likes of the LSW uses normal 5.56mm mags, its still tempting to get one but it wouldn't arrive until after the next skirmish day
  6. Does anyone use a box mag on an M4 ?? My son likes the look of it and wants it for his raider Only place I found here in the UK is out of stock but I sent them an email anyway Just want peoples views on them before I commit to buying him one Nick

    Fuses

If you can get the metal caps off, you can put the wire in that way and you know it will fit

    Fuses

You could make your own fuse's Get some 20a wire and create a shroud (like a normal fuse) to make it fit in the holders
  9. No worry's James Starr like I did and get a small indoors heli or plane and work up I do slow and fast boats and cars, slow to relax and fast for racing but I adore sitting by a lake with a sailboat and letting it go where the wind pushes it I also make rc boats
  10. Planes would be better but if you want to have a go, attend a local flying site, talk to people there and see if you can have a go If they say yes, you will be connected to the owner with 2 transmitters known as 'trainer mode' so he can take control if something goes wrong I took some refresher lessons as I'd been out of it for 10 years and so much had changed As someone said to me once 'flying a helicopter is like balancing 2 pencils tip to tip'
  11. They can't be that bad as I buy a lot of my rc stuff from them which is more expensive elsewhere, I paid about £10 (p&p included) for a brand new 6v lead acid battery for a tug boat I was making We all have different experiences of vendors and people will always say good or bad because of there experience with that vendor
  12. I dont participate but I donate to several causes Poppy appeal Macmillan Cancer research And the bereavement service The 1st for obvious reasons but the 2nd because I'm a survivor TWICE of cancer I also donate to mental health charity's because of my younger brother who has mental health problems The bereavement service was brilliant to me and my family when our little boy passed away just before he was born, the priest (padre) was ex army aswell so we had a better understanding Its great having threads like this because you get a close look into peoples personality's
  13. I got it from wonderland models.co.uk James About £35 I think and I bought some green gas at the same time
  14. I've got a HFC m9 Beretta gbb, its a secondary pistol to my glock 18c It is a hefty pistol and more suited to big hands buty 13 year old son loves using it, just got to a couple of more mags for it
  15. Good old ak2m4 to the rescue, I'll give him a PM when I can and chat to him about it all Cheers Loz
  16. I clean all my rifles and pistols after every game i play, my sons clean there own but that's because we play outdoors and yet to do CQB Its all left over from the army cadets and then the army As I say to my sons "look after it and it'll last you when you need it most" What piston head do you suggest lozart ?? as I'd like to change mine
  17. Chances are the motor inside a glock is what they call a 180 size motor You can get motors up to the size of a loaf of bread for rc model applications Put a photo of it on here and I should be able to identify it and give you suggestions of motors as I come from rc racing backgrounds
  18. That's not a bad idea spOOn, I've got the 'exploded diagram' that came with mine
  19. I had to do that with my barrel, I ended up with 3 pieces of heat shrink around it, 4 pieces was to much
  20. Pmsl I'm sensing a touch of hostility towards this chubby bloke from JBBG I might attend if I can get there

    TM gearboxes

That's cool buddy I bought a motor and hop from ak2m4, he's a top bloke and I'll certainly deal with him again I've discovered that airsoft is like any sport/hobby, the money pit gets bigger and deeper Everything I buy for airsoft will be X3 for my 2 boys aswell My weapons are the test platform before I upgrade my kids rifles

    TM gearboxes

Jeez duck, you sound like me when it comes to electronics This is the item number for the gear box I'm on about on fleabay 261622550859

    TM gearboxes

Funny enough duck, I was reading up on micro switches (I use them in my rc boats) and came to the same conclusion As for MOSFETS, I know its a noob thing but I'd rather have that then keep replacing mechanical switches every year, I can replace the micro switch with the MOSFET Patrol base do them aswell, i think most V2 boxes have micro switch tech now cause its cheaper

    TM gearboxes

I'll give them a try and see what happens but as I said above, its purely experimental and I'd have a gearbox of spares I always take photos as I disassemble so I know how it goes back together
  25. Another point to remember as sabre pointed out Skirmish are for unlimited ammo which noob's do a lot of Milsim is more for experienced guys who have trigger discipline Trigger discipline is something you learn over time as you learn to control your emotions whereas for people like me who started with cadet forces then into the armed forces, we've learnt trigger discipline and to conserve ammo, 3 burst rounds on auto
