Black ops is also a good place to cut your teeth and get into the swing of how it all works, as beast mode said, its a great place to get your ukara and we'll be trying Spartan in the new year aswell and maybe a few milsims aswell
-
Slight change but for me this time of year, it has to be a smooth glass of brandy and an even smoother bottle of port
-
Same here with family gathering but I can walk out after xmas dinner as I've got xmas day afternoon with my daughter Merry Christmas and happy new year
-
I've yet to try Spartan but as ruse11 said, black ops has 2 sites, cribbs is more open ground where great 'push forward' tactics are needed where as portishead is heavily covered, very close quarters and plenty of cover so stealth and tactics are needed

Cheers dex @ duck I'm thinking of changing out the piston and head plus maybe a nozzle as I think both M4's are down on FPS, I can't remember if G&G gearboxes have and o-ring the head but I know the nozzle doesn't where as my G36C does on the piston -
Welcome aboard to you both A lot of us who live in the south west (and some further afield) go to black ops cribbs & portishead Check there website blackopscribbs.co.uk, good prices for rentals and if you have all your own gear

What difference does using a lower gear ratio ?? other than making them a little faster to turn What effects do they have on the piston etc ?? -
Excellent, I just did a search and came up with the same Its always good to know a bit of history behind patches etc when selling military items

I've edited my reply with a couple of more comments mate

Look on eBay for comparison prices mate The jacket comes from SAS origins as they had hoods to go over there respirators, there also classed as windproof, the shirts were known as jungle shirts or temperate shirts as that's where soldiers wore them (Borneo, Cambodia etc) the trousers were classed as temperate or jungle trousers aswell They were also known as 'soldier 95' or 'ripstop' as little squares of thread was sewn all over The belt is a plastic/nylon material and was worn by soldiers in there working uniform (light weight olive green trousers and combat trousers) The clover patch signifies an Irish regiment, most likely guards or something but you can do a Google search of 'Irish regiment patches' and find what your looking for

I use my flip to side aimpoint for what was mentioned above by many people Zeroing in on the enemy and helping team mates out otherwise its flipped to the side and I just use my normal red dot I found quick acquisition with scope is hard specially if your under fire from an enemy, you'd be hit long before you hit them

With today's standards in the law, chances are you'd be the one in trouble and not the intruder One thing I was told when I did my training for a security licence was this 'You can harm (self defence) an intruder within reason if you can prove they posed a genuine threat to you and/or your family, the intruder was being intimadating, harassing you and few other things We're not america where you can legaly shoot an intruder (I believe not in all states though) so I assume you may be charged for brandishing a weapon and all consequences that come with "a deadly weapon" situation Problem is people sue each other these days and you'd be the one getting shafted by the justice (cough cough and pmsl) system

@ fugi94 - no problem buddy, we all started there mate and i hope my little pointers help you into understanding and using your charger Time to charge sounds about right, of you charge to fast, it can heat up the battery That type of charger, you always use the JST plug (the white plug) as the charger uses it to monitor each cell as it charges and the battery connector (the power leads) as the current flows into the battery while charging People always struggle at first but the more you use the charger and its features, the easier and simpler it becomes
-
That other charger lead you have is to charge your battery from a 12v car battery If you dont have a lead with a Tamiya connector at on end and a mini Tamiya connector at the other end ? Then yes you need that adapter lead To charge your battery 1 - program setting, you can set your MAH rating here and the charger will cut off at that point (mag is on the battery) 2 - battery type, choose lipo and choose 7.4v 3 - choose balance charge, always balance 4 - charging rate, I charge my lipos at half there MAH rating so a 1600 MAH lipo will be charged at 0.8a 5 - push and hold the start button until you here a beep, this will say 'checking' or something like it so you press the start button again and it will start charging

Yesterdays xmas game (21st) was a hoot, certainly had some fun until I got shot by a team member, so I took it as an enemy hit and started back to the safe zone, I get tagged again 5 times on both arse cheeks, the bloke realised I was out and said "sorry, my bad) pmsl In the afternoon, I was Santa (that was my costume for the day anyway) I was held hostage by the blue team As 2 of my captors were busy getting through a hole in the fence, I took my chance, walked away then legged it back to my team, it was safe to say that no one expected it in the 1st few minutes and were stunned in what to do My team saw me legging it and said it was hilarious to see a red streak just running The last game saw me putting a present in at 5 objectives which we completed within about 10 minutes with next to no resistance as both sides were heavily engaged elsewhere Both sides did brilliantly and I will always say 'expect the unexpected' never give a hostage an inch and always maintain control of them

It makes me laugh so hard when "Rambo" runs around trying to kill everyone and gets tagged the second he pops his head up It wasn't me that started the thread and I always take criticism on board as I can come up with good ideas from it and learn so much, we all have our ways of playing and what roles we play it was originally my son who wanted me to turn it into a support type rifle and I believe it does just that, its not the best (compared to an M249) but it certainly keeps peoples heads down when I open up -

I see what your getting at but it was a guesstimate of how long I hold the trigger for, I fire in bursts but not just spray everything, I have trigger discipline and as its not real life, we can use as much ammo as we want I can 100% garuntee its not that low of a figure -

I wasn't going for true realism Chock, its fun for me to keep peoples heads down while others move in, as I'm always on a budget its improvise, adapt & overcome As alot of people know, I'm ex infantry so was always in the mix, I love doing airsoft for the social side of it, being with like minded people but I'm really enjoying the support side of it It doesn't spit out 4rps M_P, its more like 20 or 25, i wanted suppressive fire not spray and pray like a lot of people do, so many people I've witnessed have no clue about tactics so they pour money into a weapon -

n1ckh replied to MrCheesman94's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
Mines a high ROF as its a support weapon but a 2 second pull of the trigger and it spits out about 7 or 8 rounds, that's enough to keep anyone's head down I went mad on 2 people yesterday cause they wouldn't take there hits so a fair few of us complained through out the day about both of them and they got followed by the marshalls -
Its the same for me, all dot sights are hazey to me as my eyes are bad The dot is for quick acquisition so dont focus on it
-
I haven't changed the buck, its still the original G&G one I read the same thing and a review said they tested it down to -40° C, which I find hard to believe as most (if not all) electrical devices won't work at those temps We'll see what happens tomorow when I'm at the site xmas game
-
Forget gas canisters, get hexi blocks, takes up far less room In my Bergen (when I was in the army) -combat trousers, jacket & Norwegian army shirt -sleeping bag & bivvi bag (I could sling it over my back & bug out) 1 day sack - waterproofs (jacket, trousers, wooly hat, gloves & scarf) Other day sack -NBC suit (jacket, trousers, inner gloves, outer gloves & over boots) Webbing -socks -undies - poncho, food etc Now I've got kids, I've had to think about doing it 3 times and its quite heavy, would weigh close to 130 pounds
-
I've yet to use mine but my buddy used it at our last game, should be a little more accurate now with a blade sight put on it I hope he doesn't mind using my sons support M4 for a few hours while I play with the 36c
