  1. Ahh excellent Sept 28th was my 1st game Oct 26th would be 2nd game Nov 30th would be 3rd game I just read the link you posted and I get it now You can play as many games as you want in 12 months but the minimum time is 2 months You can play a minimum of 3 games but not below the minimum of 2 months
  2. Did my 1st skirmish yesterday (28th sept) and absolutely loved it, my thighs are killing me though Beginning of the day I was following the experienced guys to get aqainted with locations of the sight and end of the day, I had an 8 man section behind me, I believe people could see my experience and had compliments from both staff and players I can only do end of the month skirmish in October and then during november Would those other 2 dates fall IN or OUTSIDE the 2 month time limit ??
  3. I remember waking up in a thin pilots sleeping bag with ice all over my poncho when I was an army cadet, swore I'd never be that cold again AND I haven't been that cold again After playing in the snow for an hour without gloves, my hands felt like they were on fire so a good pair of gloves are paramount for me come winter time
  4. Wearing waterproofs makes to much noise, specially if your doing a milsim exercise
  5. Whenever I was in the field, I'd just wear my Norwegian army shirt, even in the rain and snow I sprayed my combats with the stuff you use to spray over canvas tents but at night when I was on stag duty or just sitting around for hours in the rain then I'd wear my poncho, I also had gaiters to wear
  6. It's all good in theory ian But in my experience, we all go to ground or take cover and listen, once we knew the direction and didn't see anymore movement or even people, we would then get up and move back the way we came and find an alternate route
  7. Omg I've just realised the most easiest and simple thing possible Your idea is to distract the enemy right, some sort of decoy ?? Why not just tie some para cord to a branch or something, crawl away to a position far away enough out of earshot (chances are they won't hear anything anyway) and just tug the cord in an irregular pattern when they are near it I used the same principal when 'hobo fishing' an old can, some fishing line and a hook. Bait and cast the hook then just move the can to imitate insects etc in the water
  8. Ian_gere Just searched on google images and what I was on about is called a 'bumble ball' Type in bumble ball images onto Google and you'll see what I was on about, I think they have an on/off switch
  9. Ian A wobbly ball are those balls that vibrate with the conical shapes on them when you put them on the floor, toddlers play with them

  13. Who's attending black ops this sunday coming (28th) ?? Will you be bringing a radio ?? I'm taking mine and it'll be good to know if anyone else is bringing theirs
  14. At least body armours got better since I was in Bloody steel plates, felt like you had a snake wrapped around you, couldn't have it to lose or it would break your nose or something when running
  15. Aren't such things designed primarily to be small and compact ?? so it doesn't impede on your hips when crawling, bending down, running in the monkey crawl position, in and out of windows and buildings
  16. I been out the army 15 years now and so much has changed, I'm lost not knowing enough about modern sights, rifles etc the army use So.....its time to start researching new weapons, kit etc and getting up to speed on terminology

  18. Either way, I'm sticking with what I know and that's my iron sights I've got red dot for CQB work (which I've also done as part of my job in the infantry) My son really wants a sniper rifle and a side arm (something like a glock) so I'll get him that, my other son wants to be like me with an M4 and side arm Haha this going to get expensive
  19. I could always use as a hand held spotter sight
