What can I say....I made an expensive impulse purchase that I need to pay off rapidly before the missus kills me. 2x Genuine 3M Peltor Comtac XP Headsets 1 Set SOLD. Excellent condition & fully working - very little use as they were bought to play at a CQB site that closed fairly soon after buying them 5-6 years ago. They've sat in a kit bag for some time. Comes with Flimmuur tactical velcro patches (we used them to attach mesh mouth guards) and FL6H cables to connect them up to a fist Mics for comms. £150 (EACH) Including Postage and PayPal fees.

  2. Nah, I wouldn't personally. I have the SRS and my neighbor the SRL. Whilst current G&G gearboxes are better than the first generations of Combat Machines, they still very much middle of the road in terms of overall durability and quality of components. You will end up binning a lot of the internals in the quest for reliability - for example even the bushes are sintered bronze, not known for longevity under high stress. The Gearbox cases are not exactly stellar in terms of strength and quality either.
  3. I've used them a few times in the past for trickier-to-find parts. Comms were lousy but everything showed up eventually.
  4. I did it waaay back in 2013 - TM plastic slide with a Guarder Frame. No, it wasn't that hard. The only issue I had was that when you tightened down the front frame screw, the slide would bind on the rails. Solved it by using a couple of gearbox shims between the front frame screw post and the slide rail. It worked beautifully thereafter and no filing required. However - YMMV.

What Can I say....I made an expensive impulse purchase that I need to pay off rapidly before the missus kills me. Specna Edge - fitted with a 'not shit' full E&C Gearbox. I did swap a couple of parts out for upgrades (spring guide, piston, AK2M4 Japanese steel spring) and it runs pretty good. Far nicer than the Orion shite spat out of the OEM factory for Specna. G&G grip, SHS Hi-Torque motor, wired to deans. No Mosfet - because the Gate X-ASR the original came with shit itself, so was promptly discarded with the stock gearbox. Mostly used to test 3D Printed stuff, very little field use (it was a backup to a backup gun) but it does have a few small marks here and there. Currently chonos at 348-351 FPS with the brand new spring - but will settle after a few hundred rounds. Not been shot at any kind of range in a couple of years, so the hop/rubber might need some fettling. Comes with 2 Specna Midcaps, Iron sights and a BCM-style vertical grip (not pictured) £100 Inc Postage and PayPal fees. No idiots please. UKARA bollocks applies. Zero-post count people will be ignored.

  6. Oh fuck, what have I done!?! I've just ordered a KWA EVE-4 ICE. Loved the look of it since it was announced last year, so when BZtactical sent me a nice newsletter email** this morning saying that they have them in stock for £245 - I couldn't resist. My missus is gonna kill me. Expect a load of classified ads shortly to pay for the damned thing...anybody want a pair of genuine Peltor Comtac XPs? **the email also had the new pricing for G&G Raiders - £210-£220!! Not BZ's fault - G&G announced a price hike recently, but they are pricing themselves out of the market methinks. @Mr. No_Face Does this make me one of the cool kids now?......probably not.... 🤪
  7. £150 for a Barrel and Hop-up? Nice. I'm pretty sure you can get 90-95% of the supposed 'performance' for a small fraction of that cost - especially with UK power levels.
  8. Neither is KWA or Krytac. They are all bog standard AEGs at the end of the day with no 'special sauce' that really differentiates them from a mildly upgraded budget blaster.
  9. Printer is very nearly repaired/dialed-in. I'll have a go printing you one tomorrow whilst I'm working from home.
  10. Funny you should mention that….been running the G&G version of the grip for some time now….
  11. I reckon that could actually work. It would also solve a lot of issues I've had in the past with motors being *slightly* too long for the grip, making motor height adjustment impossible (looking at you Specna Edge) and cramped/crimped/split wiring when stuffing the base plate on. I reckon a 3D printed inset could be fabricated easy enough.
  12. Easy tiger....don't drag me into this. Whilst I sometimes might make a tongue-in-cheek comment, I try not to disrespect fellow members personally, especially those who have put a lot of time and effort to help people on here over many years. Can you say the same?
  13. XT60s are overkill for Airsoft guns really - XT30 would be more sensible for all but the most Amp-hungry builds. Smaller than Deans too. Add ISDT to the list of 'good' charger brands. They make superb chargers and they don't cost mega money - a DC-powered Q6 Nano is only ~£26 and has a colour OLED screen with more features than you would ever need. Blows any B6 (genuine and clones) out of the water.
  14. Again, I've never experienced or seen this playing CQB - perhaps i was just lucky?
  15. Why....just...why? Of all the cool guns in the world - a frikken Taurus? Those crazy folks at Tokyo Marui.....SMH
  16. The company seemed to specialise in WE GBBR stuff. Website's been down for a while, but it was archived, albeit without pictures unfortunately; https://web.archive.org/web/20100812195018/http://ts-custom.com/product.php?f_id=all&s_id=all
  17. In all honesty, I have never experienced this playing CQB - ever. Most sites (at least the ones I've played at) sweep on a semi-regular basis, and there's just not enough rounds fired to create 'pools' of BBs to slip on during a game day.
  18. Shame many PTW owners (mainly) past and present cannot report the same. I'm not talking about the A&K knockoffs either, having to send a £1k+ Systema off to be 'Tackleberried' in the first place is just wrong. It's a dying platform, Systema don't give a fuck anymore, they have been too busy selling Type 89 PTWs to the JSDF and forgot the market that allowed them flourish in the first place. In the mean time the Airsoft world moved on.
  19. Why does that not surprise me...🙄 That man has made a fortune from the PTW fashionistas.
  20. That's pretty hardcore just for some RIFs. Must be rough around your neck of the woods...😜 Mine are all unceremoniously dumped in a large pile down my shed.
  21. It's funny innit? Eye protection gets quite a response on forums, but ear pro doesn't get anywhere nearly as much attention. I wouldn't run without ear pro in CQB, even a .209 BFG in close proximity can cause me problems. It amazes me that other players just kinda laugh about it when their ears are ringing. This is just a game, shooting tiny bits of plastic at each other - for fun. We should be doing it as safely as possible, even if that means shoving cheap ear plugs in. (woohoo- 1000th Post)
  22. It's not worth £3K (nothing is when it comes to shooting tiny balls at each other for BBwarz/LARPsoft) BUT the Infinity internals kit alone is around £1300 to buy. If this had one of the gucci PTW body kits (i.e. HAO) on there, it could possibly justify £3K to those who are into these boutique shooters. But in this case it's a standard Max 2 body (notice he doesn't show the left-side of the gun in the pics) which makes it look like any other generic M4. But then you have this: So you don't even get the Real Steel stock for your £3k. If this was up for £2k, I'd say it was still pushing it. PTW's have fallen by the wayside for some time now (thanks largely to TM NGRS, HPA and even FCU-equipped AEG builds), and I've not seen one at a playing field in a good few years now.
  23. Has this one been done yet? You can't polish a turd, but you can certainly roll it in glitter. *Edit - just found it here on Macks a few pages back*
  24. Problem is, Milspec is (now) frikken expensive. At one point around 7-8 years ago the MOD 'Divested' pallets of Comtac XPs and they were cheap and readily available for sub-£100 NIB on eBay. I bought two brand new pairs for £150. Good luck getting a single pair new for sub-£200 now. If I was in market for earpro today, I would lean towards Howard Leights (like you've already got) or Walkers Razor. I know the Razor is omni-directional and can be had for £45. I've toying with the idea of 'downgrading' for some time now to Razors, because I stopped wearing my XPs as I rarely can get to a CQB site these days. I would make a profit from the XPs and could buy a tidy new gun with the proceeds. But because I would never be able to afford to buy them again, I've been hesitant to do so.
  25. This. I have a couple of sets of 3M Peltor XPs that are amazing, and really help maintain situational awareness. Watch out for cheap knock-offs and low-end stuff though - many are monoaural which completely kills your directional hearing. My neighbour (who also plays) found this the hard way thinking a cheapo Aliexpress set would be in any way decent.
