  1. Not quite sure what you mean. There's no polarity issue for anything other than mini-tamiya fitted guns- you can thank Tokyo Marui for the issue originally. But Mini-Tamiyas can be de-pinned from their plastic housing and swapped over if needed. There are established standards for polarity wiring on both Deans and XT30/60. It's even moulded into the plastic on many plugs telling you where to solder each wire. Guns manufactured with deans fitted from the factory follow that standard, along with LiPos with Deans pre-fitted. The only issue is if someone retrofits Deans themselves and cocks up the polarity when soldering the wires on. So this will work perfectly to charge an Airsoft LiPo fitted with Deans using an S65 charger. It does not have to be Airsoft specific at all.
  2. Polarity-switch only applies to Mini-Tamiya connectors and if you get it wrong, the charger will warn you and not charge. It's then just a case of de-pinning the charger side connector and swapping them over. I made the XT60 to Deans connectors - It's only a 5min job with a decent soldering iron. Personally, I dislike Deans intensely (XT30/60 is a much better choice) but airsoft being airsoft, with people and manufacturers clinging to outdated technology and standards, it's just easier to keep using them.
  3. @ScottWilliamson If you took more than two milliseconds to properly check these forums you will see there is a large Classifieds section to sell your wares. There's a button right at the top of the page.
  4. New charger arrived today. It's a belated Birthday present from my son. It's bloody quick to charge, the balance logic and balance amperage is light-years ahead of my old chargers. Colour IPS screen is very nice to use too.
  5. I reckon the seller thinks that the gun is one of these: https://airsoft.tiger111hk.com/p19549/G&P-SR-25-Sniper-AEG(Magpul-PTS)-(Limited-Edition)(Black)/product_info.html The lack of Magpul markings on the stock would make it pretty unlikely, along with the URX rail. This looks like it: https://www.bespokeairsoft.co.uk/a-k-dmr-ak25-black-dmr-25-bk
  6. Many shades of RAL8000 does not equal Bronze though.....😉 I'm with OP - Cerakote Bronze really is gorgeous (real steel content below - 'Vortex Bronze' Cerakote):
  7. Ares guns look great. Shame they are made of chocolate on the inside. Cerakoting isn't that expensive in the grand scheme of things- I would buy a cheaper gun and send the externals to have them coated in a colour you want. I would drop a message to a vendor such as FMJUK to get a rough price - they have done some amazing work on guns, both real and airsoft.
  8. Indeed - I think I'm only 15 or so minutes from you IIRC (I'm in Christchurch). There is definitely some fun to be had there, and there seems to be quite a number of 'regulars' attending. Perhaps my standards are too high.... Some things I noted: - Car park is too small - get there early to get a spot. - The 'facilities' consist of a Portacabin and a single Portaloo (with a dodgy door). Food options were Hotdogs or Chilli Con Carne. - No card payments. Had no idea until we rocked up (can't find it on the website), but they will take PayPal. - The game areas I played felt tired and a bit unloved. Some covered pallets pitched here and there, a few broken structures that have never been fixed. Yes, there are a couple of 'features' on the fields i.e. a tyre fort thing and the trenches, but GZ has much better quality playable buildings and individual game zones etc. I like the terrain more than GZ though, especially the 'Dark Woods' area of the site. - The site is great for sniping. - The games are around an hour long with four played yesterday, which leads me to..... - Takes a lot of ammo/mags/batteries - I used more BBs yesterday than my last two playing days put together. - I like the rolling 25-pace fallback re-spawn. It kept the pace up for both attackers (unlimited lives) and defenders (2 lives). I would say give it a go and see what you think. I'm going to try Bravo Romeo next - it's only a mile or so further up the road from Spec Ops.
  9. I went to Spec Ops Blox for the first (and probably last) time yesterday. Meh. Not amazing but not terrible - I expected better facilities and fields from a site that's been around for so long. Staff were friendly enough though.
  10. It's right there - under the paint: It's an Arcturus Centaur AT-CT01 https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/arcturus-centaur-at-ct01-rifle
  11. Well, that was a helluva first post on a very dead thread.
  12. I have two of the older 50watt versions of those (rebranded as Core RC) for my charging setup. They work fine. The balance logic is old on mine, making charging longer, but I doubt that will be the case with the newer e680. Don't forget that IDST make excellent chargers too. The Q6 Nano (assuming you have a DC power source) can be had for £25 - 200W, 1-6S LiPos, colour LCD screen. I'm thinking of upgrading my setup to the IDST K1 which is another dual-channel charger option. I normally suggest the SkyRC S65 based on the fact they are simple to use, relatively cheap and they better than the usual (overpriced) rebranded Nuprol crap that gets peddled by Airsoft Vendors.
  13. Ex two-tone with a gopping attempt at a 'battle-worn' paintjob, with hop up issues, being sold by a guy with a track record of stitching his buyers up with his shit gunsmithing skillz, knack for bodgery and misleading adverts. What could possibly go wrong?
  14. I had the same thought. A piston change on an ICS gun can be done in under 10 minutes for £7-8 quid. Perhaps a bit more if you buy an upgrade ICS POM unit. There's more going on there i think.
  15. That's the problem. A sizeable proportion of B6s on the market are lesser quality clones and are not made by SkyRC. I would recommend a SkyRC S65 as a simple, reasonably priced AC smart charger. It'll do far more than what most Airsofters actually need.
  16. https://events.groundzeroairsoft.com/ Stumbled across this yesterday on GZ's website. GZ are doing a Milsim Weekend event next month. Whilst I'm not a huge fan of the site, I am kinda interested in attending this one.
  17. GZ is my local site. I live 20mins away from it. In the 16-odd years I've been playing, not once did I think the NAF would be a good idea from a gameplay perspective. I mean, the place sucks with 200-300 players on site during a 'normal' skirmish day with bottleneck tracks, shit terrain and millions of rhododendron bushes, so the thought of it being scaled-up by an order of magnitude (with commensurate price increase) definitely does not appeal. BUT...... GZ are trying something new with a two day Milsim-ish (battlesim??) event in May - Operation Green Sceptre That seems to be a much more compelling event in my mind - the site itself would probably work quite well in the ammo-limited, Milsim scenario-driven context. Less likely to see the gameplay completely stopped by a kiddie with a drum mag hidden under a bush at the top of a track seemly invulnerable to BB hits.

  20. Yep, I had one shit itself with an SHS hi-torque. Kept shutting down in semi auto with an error light blinking. Pile’o’shite that thing, like the rest of the Orion Gearbox. I see Cores are coming with X-ASRs now. I would avoid those.
  21. Be nice. New member and all that. 😜 Here are some reasonably priced rail sections in stock: https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/gbase-keymod-9-slot-rail-section-for-urx-40-dark-earth
