No problem. Just line up the edges of the sticky pad to the edges of the NVG mount, and press them together with as much force as possible, then leave them to set for awhile. Set a textbook on top of it or something for continuous pressure. I've had mine hit with gun barrels, bbs, and a few walls/branches I came at too fast, and it's still there. Check out my YouTube page (in the media section of AFUK) for an idea of what the view looks like.

Well, I can't say how she'll preform in battle; I haven't played here in the U.S. yet, it's too bloody hot. Once it cools down she'll get some game time though. But it's an Eotech, so from experience (I mount the Eotech on my MP7 at about the same distance) it works well. The stock extends back a bit, I always have it at its farthest length

Nope. Not at all. You NEED a casing on it; both of my GoPros have been hit before; and both would have broken if not for the casing. But besides the casing, Sure, you can mount your camera with no cost at all. Ill attach a pic with the best way to do so. Basically, take one of the sticky pad that came with it and put it in the NVG mount on the FAST helmet. Then you can just slide on the attachment.

What's your time frame like? I live in the US now, but ill be back at The Mall in December. If you cant wait that long you can take mine for a spin then, but its likely you will want one before then .

Like me . In my opinion, it's great. And mine's second hand, so a new one should preform even better. I get about 1-1.5 mags out of a fill, which isn't great, but I never refill a mag with ammo without also filling it with gas. Gas, of course, means smaller mag sizes and more cost for those mags, but the blowback, sound, and such are good. The hop is good for a shorter barrel (being a TM and all), and power is right in the legal range, unlike the AEG which usually fires around 280. Whered you be using it?

She's finished! After receiving new, just off the line parts from Rogers Holster Company, my Stoner 96 LMG is done. She's named Deirdre, after Stoner's own daughter (a fitting tribute I hope), and I can't wait to take her to the field, while the gun of her creator's Russian counterpart is still being worked on. Changes are purely aesthetic, and include a new RHC Heavy Duty GripPod and Quick Attach Sight Mount, and 6mm of ballistic glass mounted in front of the genuine Eotech 552 to protect it (due to Trigger's constant threats that he was gonna shoot the sight out...) I may also be getting a P*, as I do have around $900 that I could spend. Unlikely, as I will likely save the money, but it's something else that may be in the works...

I know him. Well, I've met him, he and my grandfather have shot together. I'll look up the episode.

Or 7...

Great...

Ok... Issue 2 solved. Turns out the hop rubber has warped and a such blocked the nozzle or something. So now it at least fires... Issue 3... It fires like a limp d***... Going maybe 2 feet. Battery is charged. Springs feel pretty powerful. I am charging my battery, and I'll see if that makes a difference, but until then...

Haha, I've come to expect long and slightly confusing posts fro you. It is defiantly the nozzle not coming forward, but for what reason, I can't tell. The only thing I know is that it isn't sealing. I can load a mag, put the trigger a few times, get the gears to wind and "fire", and yet no bb travels down the barrel. When the mag is removed, I can see s liver of the bb at the forward end of the hop feeding tube. I don't actually believe any of the bbs are even entering the hop chamber. I'll take the fun apart again in a few hours and test the seating with the hop; I haven't been able to get the hop out of the gun so far, but I haven't really tried. Keep it coming

Ok, issue one fixed. The lip on the tappet plate had worn off, so that's been replaced. Now, I still think my problem is a too short cylinder head. Looking down the feeding tube with a BB loaded shows the nozzle only extending 1/2 way across the feeding tube. Therefore I think the extra length is the solution, but I'll wait for your I put before I buy anything else. And no, pics aren't gonna happen; the hole is too small and dark to get a pic that shows anything, I tried.

OK, another update. I got my new cylinder (short), and installed it. It still has the same problem. could be that its the wrong type, but maybe not. I measured the nozzle (the plastic cover I didn't ID in the previous pictures), and when fully in it is 5mm long; when extended, 7mm. This was a warning sign straight away, as it needs to move 6mm to allow a BB to enter, and then slide forward to forma seal (please, correct me if im wrong). Does this help ID my problem? Do I need a new air nozzle instead of a cylinder head, or are the two related?

Hello guys, I recently moved to the U.S., and I wish to bring my Airsoft guns back with me when I visit over Christmas. In order to get through customs with no issues, I want to get Orange tips for the guns I am bringing over. These are: an M4, a Tar-21, a PPSH, an mp7, and a we g17. The tar and m4 I am not worried about; those are easy to get. The others though... If I have to leave the g17 that's fine, I already have one here, but I really need the others. So if you know where I can get ahold of any of these, great. If you have any of these guns and still have the Orange tips, please, can I have them? I'll send a few £s your way for the trouble. Thanks, Spaz

AFUK Team members and The Mall Reading
SeniorSpaz87 replied to Alex34's topic in Other Events and Meets
I'm sad I had to leave The Mall behind, I'm ruined for CQB forever now . I will still wear my AFUK patches here in the U.S., and over Christmas I'll be back (no genesis reference). Trigger, we may need a redo of your friendly little game... . I've gotten a few new tricks up my sleeve that enemies may not appreciate. -
I have no idea. Was just looking for a rough estimate. Anyway, very little chance i could afford it, as I am a college student. Maybe I'll have to look at some trades...

Hello, So a guy I know (who is one of those kids whose parent buy them whatever they want) who felt the need to get the biggest, baddest Airsoft setup, which was essentially a P* M4. Now he wants to sell it. This is what's included: This is what he said about his polar star: It's never been used in a game and maybe 500 rounds through it, 4500 tank, spiral and straight hose, amp air regulator and it has a body with it. My question is this: should I go for this, and if so, what should I offer? Keep in mind this guy has no Airsoft knowledge, so I can maybe get it rather cheap (I so hope). Thanks, Spaz

Second that fpg, also the vector and whoever was running around with an ACOGed Barrett

I've already got a new head coming, in a few days when it arrives I'll open her up again and see how that works.
-
More possibly helpful information. I put it back together to dry fire it to ID issues. It seems, when fired with no mag, no air comes out the barrel. However, it does come out the hole that lines up with the mag that BBs go into to (bottom of hop). Any ideas why?

Better pic. It has a little sleeve that goes over it, I've removed that for clarity
-
Ok guys. Opened her up, found a lot of stock grease, and nothing obviously wrong... The guy I got it from says it's the cylinder head, so I've attached some pics of it. It is black and plastic, but there's nothing obviously wrong to my untrained eye. Feel free to request more pics of different parts; I have till tomorrow around noon to keep her open, then she's off to Uni with me, working or not. Come on you AK guys, I know yall know what you are doing 😊

Echo one mini gun . But seriously, my Stoner 99 LMG, my S&T PPSH, my TM MP7, and my E&L AK have all been sources of awe for others. I took my AK out at the shop and the tech guy whistled
-
Alright, will do
-
Ok, not really relevant, but it is a good idea; I've often misseated my AK mags on reloads, so thanks for that. Now on to more questions. 1: I have heard E&L AKs have a plastic slider hop. Others sometimes say this is unreliable, as the slider can move around and screw up your set hop. Should I replace this, and what are some recommendations. 2: what battery should I use? I currently have only a single stick 8.4V 1600MaH battery to split between my Stoner 99 and my AKS. I used 9.4V 1600MaH nunchucks mostly in the UK, but these two guns require sticks. I have never used LiPos, but am not opposed to them. 3: I talked to the shop, which would charge me about £89 to open the AK's gearbox up and replace the cylinder head. So Im doing it myself now . How will I know if this is my issue, and if it is what do yall reccomebdations as a replacement? 4: Anything else? Reccomendations are welcome. Again, I'm not a huge techy, so nothing too advanced please. Also, I am on a college student's budget, so nothing super expensive (yes, I know, I want to P* everything too...). Thanks
