What I do is a SPORT yes a sport not me pretending to something I know I am not I can't even begin to imagine the horrors our troops have suffered & witnessed, nor do I wish to for one single second. Airsoft could be even helping to build support & respect for our troops, go back a few years and looney extreme far lefties were heavily criticising our troops and deployments. many people were scared or worried about showing support for our troops in case it offended some minorities ffs. Where as we know they are just doing what the politicians drag us into right or wrong they are simply following orders in the name of our country. Even though the MOD has been forced to make drastic cuts that many think too extreme perhaps yup - most of these men & women have my full support gong through hell n back on a regular basis jeez I'm not gonna go too ott or patriotic like in US but at least they do fully respect their armed forces much more than this country has in the past I'm not gonna go on about this much more but here is a thought: I wonder how some of these hostile people would perform at the NAE this weekend ??? would be funny as fvck if these die hard tossers got feckin OWNED by some PRETEND SOLDIERS apart from the hostile bell ends all jumping on the airsoft hate bandwagon thread, big respect to ALL people serving and served in our forces - past n present oh n thread is closed thank god - perhaps they ran out of abuse or maybe they gone to sign up at NAE ???

Honest straight up advice is the top priority...... If something is that shagged then would it be worth it for a repair, or better replace so to speak If something wasn't worth the work involved then tell the customer straight from the start If something is perhaps beyond your skill level - not saying it is but if it was then say so With stuff like warranty n such yes you can/should offer it on all YOUR work but if you recomend that the bearings be replaced and customer decides against it then if/when it all goes tits up what do you do: it was fine before you touched it - they say but the bearings were wanked m8 i tried to tell you that but you said no well your the expert you should of changed them - I'm just a noobish kid Jeez - you can see the bollock ache anybody who offers their service, plus can you make my JBBG into a DMR - ergh I might be magic but I ain't a fvcking magician m8 All I can say is be honest n truthful with everyone - even the ar$ehole ones, your quality of work will eventually speak for itself and throw in some honesty/integrity and fair price n advice etc..... Right - don't quite get this but here goes: They are not UKARA reg and they 2-Tone a fair amount of their guns. So I ring them and ask them about not painting a gun, yes we can do that if you can provide valid defense I got UKARA - yup I can verify that sir.... Great, but apparently they will only sell RIF face to face OK let me get this straight, I got defense and you have to check that, saves you painting gun But I can't buy from you online unless 2-Tone - even though you can verify my defense, my details & paypal I hardly sound like some 13yr old but even after all this they are not budging it seems I have to drive over to Slough even though you verify I am on the level and saves you painting the thing So I use up my petrol n all that - even though I have not had to do this crap for: LWA Fire Support Pro Airsoft Zero One - though did have to fill out pyro form & scan it back to them Airsoft World BBGuns4Less UK-Airsoft plus any others I forgot since getting UKARA ffs BOLLOCKS - found it much cheaper elsewhere also with free delivery bought in 2-Tone, save my petrol and buy some dettol or Krylon instead jjjjjeeeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzz Always thought they were a bit better than other BB sites but now realise gotta always have 2-Tone even if you have UKARA unless you drive over to Slough - bit of a 8itch if you live up North/Scotland I mean the other 2 BB muppets do Black guns if you got UKARA and OnlyBBGuns will sell you a RIF face 2 face so if they check/verify and delivery is going to UKARA address - wtf is problem Still I suppose they have their own rules n guidelines to follow - but sounds a tad ott in my book

Ahhhhh but I am guessing coz only done 2 rebuilds so far - and not happy with first one so may redo it soon.... but like I said I imagine as with many many things only after about 6 or 10 times do you really start to fully understand and become at ease with stuff like diagnose & rectifying any problems etc....... = experience Many things now I got a better understanding of and after gaining more experience and the odd screw up too (learning from mistakes = wisdom) Gearbox's - hmm think I got quite a way to go just yet before I can say I have started to fully suss out n all that, probably never ever master them like some on here - samurai etc.... but hope to one day rebuild a gearbox with some custom parts to a level that I feel happy with - and I am a really fussy bastid to say the least... best wishes with ya own build I'm sure it will be fine

been there seen it got T Shirt not just on gearbox but dvd rom drives had 2 side by side each other one was always crunching up, took ages checking the fully working one against the crunchy one: that bit there - check spring located there - check bit of grease there - check oh I see that bit goes under there - yup now check ok that there - check slides free n easy now - check ok put it back together..... CRUNCH MASH CRUNCH - WTF ???? bastid stuff these gears n crap bollox - checkmate

ICS are very good guns - "maybe" slightly better than G&G on some models BUT many bits in ICS are bespoke to ICS they often have a 2 piece gearbox in M4's quick spring change but a bollock to get parts easy n cheap as well as limited upgrade options Often ICS may be a tiny bit more expensive - not much and they usually give you 2 x 300 mags think this might lure people in but like some car companies... All sounds good but you try n get spares/service then you find out maybe not a as good as you thought G&G use the "normal" setup so parts/upgrades are easy to come by, plus they are built very well too Both these companies are Taiwan - SRC are also but their M4's are not as good and I own all 3 btw The carbine G&G has battery up front in front hanguard - you can get it black/clear, 2tone I think or usual black and/or tan The Raider has battery at back in crane stock - 2 stick batteries linked together usually but there are numerous options like fitting a solid stock which you can shove anybattery at back Carbine is front battery with no RIS rails and the clear is better than 2 Tone black bright orange trust me that orange is a dead give away - enemy will see that day-glo orange gun before you So clear or transparent is a good option for non ukara peeps, you can spray the clear parts but in effect you are crossing the line by painting an IF gun to look RIF so won't go into that too much but is easier and better than trying to paint bright orange if user gets ukara Raider is lovely - well worth £25 more imho - it does not feel cheap at all, the raider is solid no front barrel hanguard wobble coz all bolted together tight on RIS. Only 2 minor things and they really are minor: no rear sight hand rail or carry handle like many M4's charging handle don't drop down the flap to adjust hop-up like on most M4's (you have to pull down flap and keep down to adjust hop-up) These are very very minor things in what is an absolute lovely first gun choice and suppose they keep price down a bit and can be changed if you wish G&G and you won't go wrong, they are both good models, be careful you don't buy a blowback or gas blowback version coz you think great they got them in stock Nunchuk battery will work in both guns I reckon carbine or raider - up to you which one or both

yeah well I have been to two sites now that never chrono'd and I am not saying chrono means fvck all - never said that at all but was trying to explain in a round about way getting shot with a pi$$ poor 350 at 15m may not hurt as much as say a 300 well tuned gun at same distance...... my site is absolutely $hit hot on chrono'ing and will not just allow you to scrape by if it is over I thought they might allow a little but nope a 352 to 355 was not allowed to be used one time I was trying to explain or elaborate that the fps is not the be all n end all many think it is that was all yes sites have rules and limits AND should stick to them for all players safety, sometimes it sucks like in my slightly slightly hot gun but $hit happens, no way would my lame ar$e src dragon have out gunned or out ranged a TM high rate weapon for example BUT I couldn't use it and yup it was a bollock ache trudging back to car to get even lamer gun but I respected the marshall doing his job and could draw assurance that nobody else was gonna be running hot guns either but Dragon @ 355 Vs TM @ say 300 - yeah I don't think my £75 gun will own that £350 one and TWA often give you their M4 mags to use in case anybody is trying to cheat chrono with .25's or .30's etc..... only when I visted a couple of others do I realise how strict TWA are on safety or how lapse others may be - note only visted these 2 other sites the once so unfair if it was a one off glitch/fogot but all the same I did say it was to ensure people run with similar powered guns to begin with what happens after 10ft 20ft 30ft 40ft etc.... varies but at muzzle the chrono limit is 350fps usually

avoid jumping in and buying from: justbbguns bbguns4less onlybbguns these cater for kids mainly - yes they have a few on there that are good but in general most stuff on there if you bought it and went to a proper skirmish site you will get ya ar$e slapped coz you can't keep up you will be out gunned & out ranged big time and just end up getting the hump sometimes on cqb you can get buy with cheaper stuff but woodlands at mid-long range you got no chance Most on here learnt hard way - there are some good guns out there but you won't go wrong with G&G imho yeah you can get £80 gun but will regret it in couple of months - trust me on this

pah - had 1600fps first time I used mine but soon settles at 425 ish after 3 or 4 shots most guns punch about 320 - 340fps - this fps means jack if gun is setup badly Tokyo Mauri punch at say 295 but no doubt they are one of best out there in general chrono is just a rough ball park guide to try n ensure nobody is using stuff too powerful or unfair advantage or more so safety too - stings a bit a close range sometimes CO2's are nice but a little variation in fps often mainly over the 350 like i said

if you absolutely have to have something right now and can't wait for Raider then carbine @ £100 http://www.proairsoftsupplies.co.uk/acatalog/cm16_carbine_transparent.html but I suspect you will soon wish you got raider with RIS to put stuff on yup can change stuff but often RIS may need a bit of tweaking to fit on so buying a gun already with rails is better option heck if ya wanted to go nutz get carbine AND raider when in stock or rather Fire Hawk if ya got £250 to blow - then you got spare gun of your own

wait and get Raider CM16 - maybe short version imho £123 - zero one has another shipment due soon was told on friday, but their last trading day will be around Tuesday then they shut up shop to shift everything for NAE - they have been winding down and pulling most stuff If get from Zero One then they will 2 Tone it free and should be about £130ish with shipping ya battery/charger will probably be about £25+ for both - crane stock on CM16 Raider so nunchuck or stick type battery you get a 450 mag, so maybe add another mag or two perhaps but 450 should see you ok for a single game round (unless you are really trigger happy) so you can scrape by - certainly better than a mp5 mag capacity G&G use 8mm bearings in their stuff now even their cheapo £100 carbine but raider with rails is well worth it hence they sell out everywhere real quick don't buy any other cheap gun - trust us, we have learnt hard way, you WILL BE WASTING MONEY !!!!

welcome to forum.... your 1911 is a sexy weapon but if it is CO2 powered it "might" be a tad too hot most sites allow up to 350fps - some cqb allow only 328fps or 100m/sec CO2 a lot of them punch well over - anywhere between 365 & 450fps !!!!! soz to bring a possible bit of bad news - got a cheap 1911 co2 myself and love it but too hot to use on its own - there are a few mods to reduce it though slightly more softer pistols are Green Gas or propane or even less 200-240fps electric cyma pistols just letting ya know in case you get told you can't use ya 1911 after it is put through chrono hire or buy a cheapo 2 tone or clear G&G for ukara and all the other usual advice stuff for newcomers (ffs avoid anything with BB in their names - again all this is usual advice to prevent you making bad decisions - like me)

Don't think that is same for all sites though, often my son may do full day & I just do half day Young Guns - all players under 18 so kids can't be supervised by parents Also Zero One own site was running some mid-week full days where parents could drop off kids in morning and pick them up at up to about 6:00pm I think So not all sites enforce a rule that all under 18's have to be fully supervised - just sign a waiver so ya dad/mum can take you, fill out paperwork and leave you on your own to get lit up - kidding rent a gun once and maybe a clear or 2-Tone G&G from Pro Airsoft or Zero One £100 to £140ish but try it out first on a rental to see if you like it and if ya parents ok with you doing it My missus was a bit freaky at first doing this shooting with son but I explained: He is getting out n about, meeting new people, working as a team, getting exercise and better than him just sitting up in his room playing online 24/7 raging n all that - he is still stroppy but thats kids
