Sitting Duck

Well yesterday I did a little "tweaking" or grind/file away a bit.... I can afford to do this as it was a cheap $hitty CO2, and if I balls it then I got spares & extra mag for the other same CO2 pistol Looks a little rough but she is firing now at 330 - 340fps I cut, and filed down a round groove in the hammer there is now a semi circle groove aprox 2.5mm deep 1mm deep seemed to do nothing 425+ 2mm deep started to drop a little - 385 2.5mm gets me to 340 ish - seen 355 once but most is 325 to 345 the pin/valve is not getting pushed so far in and so is not releasing so much burst Will take some pics to show what I mean - but it is a BODGE FFS Could of tried washers around valve but had trouble holding these in place got the hump and thought - wtf lets grind the 8itch and finish with a small circular/round file - like a half pipe guttering channel but is in line with pin I do NOT suggest anybody does this on a nice decent pistol This was a cheapo nasty £30 CO2 pistol (actually £27 delivered) If I killed it by taking too much off and left with 100fps - $hit happens at least I get a spare mag etc for other pistol I strongly do not say this is a good way to do it but now at least I should be able to use it as a backup/secondary once it starts to drop a tiny bit - there is a very small margin reckon it was about 0.5mm once she started to lose a tiny bit so with that in mind you have gotta go very very carefully As long as she stays about 300 - that will do me still got other one - so will be intertesting to see new mag & co2 cart in both - how many shots etc.... hoping to stay above 300-320fps and mag maybe 150 would be nice OK - bit of an update...... fitted brand new ASG co2 cart and started testing this morning..... got up to about 90 shots - mag holds 19 plus the odd dry fire when empty it was early (6:30am and neighbours seemed to be getting pi$$ed) so left it at 90 shots..... Recently dry fired the rest inside up to about 200 shot mark then chrono a few bb's @ 260 back inside & dry fired up to 250 shots & she was at 90fps 275/280 & she was out of gas So yeah looks like it might have sort of done what I needed it to: 320fps & mag good for 150 maybe 180 bb's - that is getting on for 8 or 9 mags think I will forget looking for a cyma electric pistol, see how this works out in a month or two might do the other one but will wait a little while first think next time I reckon using a small square file to get a nice recessed flat area striking the valve the round one might look neat or even a bit realistic but smooth square flat surface to me might provide a more accurate consistent strike on valve than maybe the round halfpipe shape pistol - alas out of stock now http://www.onlybbguns.co.uk/gg-105-co2-gg-105-co2.html?filter_name=HFC%20105 10% off voucher think was RC10 = £27 and free del on everything like I said £27 - jeez a mag & del would cost a fair bit of that so bought a few but they was hitting 400-450, now I might be able to use it Other places do sell these cheapo pistols but not as cheap & delivered but this bodge - and that is what it is ffs may just allow some cheapo guns to be used PLEASE do not do this to any half decent pistol - get it done PROPERLY !!!! if anyone wants to try this crap please remember: EVERY GUN WILL BE DIFFERENT !!!!! Another one - my other pistol may only need 1mm or 1.5mm shaved off if I just dive in and take too much off too quickly it may drop to 100fps I had got a rough idea with washers over valve stopping trigger hitting fully home so I knew not to go too mad with dremel & files Go very very slowly and gradually bit by bit - needless to say: I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOU SCREWING UP YOUR £125 CO2 PISTOL (I am not very responsible or mature at all for that matter) Only attempt this if you have a crappy cheapo gun, and a little common sense and decent stuff - not your mum's nail file ffs and can afford to lose the gun if YOU screw up going too mad it may not work for all or other pistols so it is down to owner/user to decide Not sure - DON'T DO IT, if not ready fine wait a while and will update if bodge still works ok soz for long waffle - but I ain't gonna buy anybody a new gun if it goes pear shape on ya ItsAJ - deffo spend £15 on the shop proper mod, my crappy gun is a non blowback 1911 yours is deffo worth £15 spent on it and can be reversed no doubt - my bodge not really S D

blind firing is wrong - we all know that Looks to me they both ran for the same bit of cover as often happens.... They both know - $hit he is behind this wall.... Now what should be happening is they both jump out - left/right and take their chances coz in reality nobody is/should be surrendering so it is do or die you hope you can make it out to see the blokes ar$e as you emerge - no not in the flesh ffs but the back or side of him or you both come face to face question is do you jump out and go far wide left/right or tight to object this crap happens all time in skirmish or COD - you both know what needs to happen You just hope that when you emerge you don't get taken by his m8 instead Once - me & another player came out face to face both fired on target I declared hit but opponent did not though I swear we started to fire whilst both "alive" so therefore this would have been: aiuchi = simultaneous hit as used in matial arts, though that means no score but in aisoft we both dead/hit Fair enough I think but was a tiny bit pi$$ed for a while but it happens every weekend no doubt but that at least we both went for it as we knew we had to - think we both hit but $hit happens rather die trying so to speak than wait for blind firing bang bollox crap to come over or just wait for him to pop round for a chat

Nah he is talking about the new one - tried it but lost interest the old classic Wolfy & follow up - Spear Of Destiny - played to death (really showing my age now & best console adaptation of that was snes) Think it doesn't look too bad, only played until you crash n have to kill robo-dogs But the previous one a few years back was dire and then the DOOM game a year ago well that was money down the drain and so many follow ups fail so bad and WatchDogs a week later so think quite a few soon forgot about Wolfenstein In the past really thought BodyCount was gonna seriously kick ar$e as it was done the bloke who did Black - now that is feckin' good game, could of kicked COD's ar$e if the dopey programmers did online or at very least 2 player co-op / lan play Alas BodyCount wasn't bad for a while but then wtf - aliens n crap - jeez no. Final thought on video games: You are always the last person from your squad/team/platoon etc..... ALL your m8's are dead, ripped to bits by aliens/zombies/enemy army.... Sounds good value, dunno about early games coz like my sleep instead 1 big screen - grab a few cheapy TV's set up COD on a lan then watch the adult pro's get owned by 12yr olds - lol shame it is bristol - a tad too far but wish you well with this one this is what we need to do if we ever do a forum meet up (beer n consoles is safer than beer n airsoft in evenings)

Try not to knock the UKARA - it is a techy subject and is not perfect and perhaps it "could or should" be a little bit more involved in its checking I really do think (yeah is easy for me to say now, but I seriously do think this) You have to look at it as a kind of "game" we have to play to play the game game we all like to play But if checks were too involved my therapist might have objections though (just kidding - soz shouldn't joke about this crap) A little bit of hassle in actually finally getting on database but no real biggy in the end yes I was getting out my pram a bit - but in the end wasn't the end of world A bloke at work is really going through the mill, one of his kids is terminal ffs so when you hear crap like that - wtf am I moaning about LWA & UKARA etc.... you will get there, maybe processed quicker - that was what took time for me

I thought xcite High Wycombe had Sunday 20th & 27th as well as Thursday (presume night games) on their calendar no co2's certain pyro's - can we fart at this site or does that need to be chrono'd first think russel had the 26/27th weekend off so was kinda aiming for that weekend Swindon might be a bit far for me this month - next month some of you can go swindon and I go to bunker epsom then or sandpit dartford when you lot do swindon so trying to find some place slightly west of london for 26/27th would be ideal

Think most of us feel the same way in general so it is good to know We all try to play fair I like to think Some may play a bit too fair or good sportsmanship Others might be a bit the other side of true fairness It all depends on your take and very much in heat of moment I suppose Ricochet, bang rule etc... - good to know that in general we are all roughly on same page slightly different limits of fair play in some cases but to be expected - nobody is wrong here They play their way but we can't always expect eveyone to play EXACTLY to our own rules or our own limits of fair-play & sportsmanship happy (fair-play) shooting - ffs it is just a game - well to most of us, some do take it too serious (oi you come here - wallop, wack, biff, pow, kazaamm, ummphhh - anyone remember batman ?)

nah gotta disagree with that - this airsoft not a friggin' game of squash, snooker or billiards/pool yeah maybe shooter might be great at working out maths n physics - but we came to shoot and by that I mean direct hit shooting.... otherwise we would start awarding half hits, poxy bang rule, and well you was a good sport so I will commit suicide for you ricochets are NOT direct hits and are not even LUCKY shots they are ricochets which in real life 90-99% would not happen - ok in real life if somebody is inside a 1 inch thick timber house think they would be brown bread if I sarting firing at those thin walls with a real M4 I mean there all sorts of exceptions - grenade nope I am not hit my buddies took full force of blast your gun gets shot & no secondary - uhm well not really dead just no weapon so I could spectate yup I will call that sniper kill on me once I got my measuring tape to confirm MED I could go on - and very often do but there has to be a balance mixed with some common sense too Like I say - I have called HIT on 2 possible ricochets - never will know if they were both or 1 direct hit but I usually call it on 2 ricochets - perhaps others might say 3 or 4 or completly no way Once you call you can't start walking and then think - no hang on a sec that might..... The shooter might not see that way - he may have shot me directly, but if I didn't feel a hit I don't call it well not on first possible tap - but second well OK I say...... Now either I am a pussy little wimp or I am a cheating non-hit taker - maybe both I don't know and tbh I don't care really I try to play fair - if any of my enemies think I don't take my hits: B O L L O X - I try to play fair, report me to a Marshal and just before you do sort your own dirty cheating non-hit taking bastid team out first coz there is much worse going on

Well couple of weeks ago we had a few blokes wanted to be "hard" so they took off their T Shirts (alas the one girl was on enemy team - boooo (or boooobs) Anyway - 4 or 5 blokes running round thinking they were F*CK YEAH I'M HARD AS NAILS !!!! Should of seen them getting to attack positions gingerly trying to navigate through stinging nettles oouch oooh arrrghhh ouuuchhhh - was funny to watch

DEFFO NOT - but I do wonder if many shooters believe they DO COUNT what I mean is - sometimes I might feel a "tap" from a possible stray ricochet now I say POSSIBLE ricochet coz I don't see where every shot is coming from and most likely it IS a ricochet or some JBBG Fart Gun I felt the full impact from I do not run with loads of armour or plate carrier etc - just perhaps a sweater/light jacket so I SHOULD feel most stuff I tend to think - but I am a big hard man - ergh no I am not BUT - if I feel another "tap" then I WILL call that hit - could still be a ricochet or some JBBG gun might have got one more .12g to just about land or roll along floor to me - just That is how I honestly tend to roll or run with - if I am a cheater or non-hit taker then ban/flame me Trust me I know what a direct hit feels like coz I don't wear loads of stuff like I said 2 possible ricochets then most likely I will call a hit to be sure I am trying to play fair Most real bullets will end up in walls etc... but suppose numerous people had had the $hit luck to end up dead from some lucky freak ricochet no doubt... I mean forget it so to speak it is just a game no prizes usually so 2 possible ricochets I call it some might say bollox 3 or 4 perhaps - but is difficult in heat of battle to say: Cease fire a sec - OK who has the green or black bb's - ahh you now was you actually aiming or... Yeah right - quick bit of common sense and maybe call it if not sure if you get ricochet again etc... Don't fancy going to Naturist Airsoft - uuurrggghhh - well maybe if lots of lovely ladies wanna play but that might be the only way to fully ensure less non-hit takers

Fair enough, but I'm up to try Epsom Bunker on 27th 330fps limit it seems though - so watch yourself if ya AEG is over 330 !!!! (quite common on cqb sites) WW2 bunkers underground - sometimes in the dark - oooohh bogeyman they do private hire - min 15 people it seems but a tad dear for private hire inc gun but that is a deposit inc £25 day walk on, inc lunch it says so that is on par with my local TWA £20 no lunch day walk on or £10 1/2 day TWA (not sure if I will do my regular TWA on 26th or perhaps half day still not to knacker me out completely) think two_zero went there about a month or so and said it was brill - intense full auto cqb I think he said in a pm so if anybody else fancys it then please reply in here, or has anyone else got other sites in mind ??? Think I might give them a call anyway

I know absolute jack squat diddley but was wondering about a warm CO2 pistol I got.... Shoots 400fps - way too hot, and probably each cart lasts say 100 rounds max Looking around some lame CO2's seem to last much much longer before needing to change carts So was thinking..... ouch..... If there was a way to reduce the stroke or burst or duration the valve is opened shorter burst length in m/secs = less power/fps and cart "should" last a bit longer I again refer to my opening line I know FA in effect - even less on pistols but perhaps one day, I may investigate a way to reduce the travel or something that hammer strikes the valve pin thingy - getting technical here eg: rough figure of say 15 m/sec burst to 10m/sec burst and slightly less power/fps Like I say I know FA - in fact the one I do know a lot about is absolutely nothing !!! But there has got to be a way of just slightly reducing ooommmmpppphhhhh on CO2 if I could somehow get it to 320/330 and perhaps squeeze a bit more say 20% more rounds before changing cart, then I would be over the moon Ahh well - another "project" to look into one day maybe but lmk if anyone has ideas

My Rihanna Fire Hawk has had have a bit of work on her ar$e...... Trying out different batteries - jeez they are tight & fiddly a 9.9v LiFe is a REALLY tight fit to get in stock tube despit my best measuring Actually found a SRC stock tube one is slightly thinner and not such tight squeeze but 9.9v battery sticks out of tube a bit coz mount & bolt is longer (bat doesn't go in so far) Then thought WTF - lets try a stubby fixed stock on her - well I think she still looks good to me But now got no worries what oooooommmppphhhy batteries I run through her sexy ar$e The 11.1v was showing silly volts when tested & showing 28.5rps - ahhh 12.5v showing up But think the thin 7.4v Lipo was a little flat coz Zippy Lipo was showing a better 16.5rps So probably gonna run with a normal size 9.9v 1600 LiFe which should get me 20rps+ Anyway - pics showing some different batteries n stuff and the cheapo stubby is exact same size (not adjustable but can't have it all - don't look too bad and a much wider choice of batteries) Yes I know the Zippy's have XT60 on them but no problem fitting them - even with the tamiya adapter Finally - She won't go back in her box the naughty girl coz with FH stock she had to be set back a bit to fit in box, but won't now fit coz stubby can't pull back a bit - well of course - dooohhhh but in any case my son has nicked my girl and got it in his armoury & bag now - wtf ??? (knew that girl was a two timing flirty cow but still love her)
