  1. I've got a custom Cosmos II laptop with a 500Gb HDD, Nvidia GeForce GT 740M, Intel i5 Dual-core at 2.60Ghz each, 8Gb RAM, and a full matte HD 1080p screen. Costed me under £700 at pcspecialist.co.uk and it's on par with a mid-range desktop build and half the Apple Macs out there. Only thing it can't run perfectly is DayZ from what I've gathered. One major con is the touchpad, though, the buttons are integrated into the touchpad, when I first got it my hand wasn't so steady and everytime I clicked the mouse moved around, but didn't take long to get used to it (Was a bitch getting used to it on CS:GO), easily avoidable with a USB mouse, though. It's pretty big for a laptop, aswell. About 18 or 19 inches, so you'll need a sorta large bag for it if you're carrying it around alot. All in all the pros heavily outweight the cons for me, and I heavily reccommend this build. My only regret is not paying an extra £30-£50 for a 1Tb HDD rather than 500Gb.
  2. Posted this in another thread but worth reposting. I'm going to try for a loadout similar to the below pic, with my primary as some sort of AK, maybe a cheapo AK-47 until an AK-12 surfaces. Obviously I won't have the obnoxious purple. Probably a black and graphite grey, or black and white version. Edit: Another interesting idea for you Romans:
  3. Safely in Malta. Apparently they have airsoft here. I guess it's time to find out.

I'm here for two weeks. Beautiful country, been coming here for years but never thought to have a look for an airsoft club or anything.

  4. Nearly 30Gb of Skyrim mods... Not obsessed. Might be time to purge a few.

I bet, eveb with all those mods, 80% of the game could still be confused for a black and white tv documentary about vikings...oblivion was way prettier!

Morrowind was the best elder scrolls and still is.

Finius, that's why we get the buffed up graphic mods, it doesn't look so washed-out and basic anymore. Although, I've gotta say, Morrowind was bloody spectacular and still is.

  5. Good god. I can't stop playing Team Fortress 2. Surprised I ever stopped playing.

yea, damn pyros -.- actually wrote "i hate pyros" in chat yesterday haha! been playing scout the last few days, just getting the grips on it! can be really satisfying when you get a few good kills with the bat :) I'm Red Spy if you see me in game!

  6. I have the same gun, very good. Although mine has a weird habit of shattering 1 in 10 BBs fired mid-barrel. I don't use it so often because my tiny arm muscles can hardly handle the cocking on it, but it's fun for target shooting. I get a BB leak aswell, but it's only 1 or 2 out of the reasonably sized mag it has (30rd, isn't it?). It's a bloody rugged gun aswell (like my Tokarev, which also happens to be a Russian gun... gotta love Russian designs), it's taken a few knocks, the safety lever is broken, but I've not noticed a performance drop or anything since I've owned it. All in all, good catch, it's gonna look amazing with a wood kit, in fact I should really get one of those...
  7. Holy crap. This is some Counter-Strike Global Offensive stuff. I'd love to do my G36C in a similar style to this: Gotta love Asiimov.
  8. Well, my teeth lost a fight against the floor earlier. Need 4 new ones. Brilliant.

Lucky I'm only 17. But it'll still cost around £1.3k. Went to the dentist today and luckily no nerve endings have been damaged or anything. Need 1 root filling, 3 crowns, 4 caps. Could've been alot worse.

thought it was free on NHS under 18?

    4. Caliber

      Caliber

Apparently not for dental care. And this counts as reconstructive surgery which also apparently is not covered by the NHS. Bit of a pisstake but I'll have to deal with it.

  9. I was wondering, has any company made an AK-12 yet for airsoft, or at least have one on the way? Maybe even a conversion kit? I've searched around on the web a bit, and haven't seen anything regarding one, but it wasn't an exensive search. Any idea?
  10. My mate's thinking about grabbing a G&G M14. Good choice?

Yeah, he's doing the whole DMR thing. Would the Echo 1 Version 7 gearbox work well?

  11. Yet another gun has caught my eye. This time, the SRC RPK. Looks nice. Any thoughts on it?

    1. TacMaster

      TacMaster

SRC for anything other than a G36? Lolno. Cyma RPK is an option 50x better, however I'd still talk to Ian_Gere about it before buying

      RPK? Go CYMA.

  12. I second that motion. Video game inspired loadouts can look amazing, aswell as be practical. I wish I had the height and build to pull off a loadout similar to that 50 Cent game... Dual Deagles, AK-12 (47/74 would look good too, for more of an OG look), bulletproof/stab vest with a bit of MOLLE, desert camo lower half (with tan boots, I guess), and top it off with a nice flat-cap. Maybe even the gold watch, if it's BB proof. Thinking of a 'Mil-spec gangster' kind of loadout. I remember one of the NPC models from Saint's Row the Third looked bloody good. I'll have to go take a picture of it in-game since Google yields no results. Edit: Here we go. Imagine this without the obnoxious amount of purple:
  13. I should be availible on the 27th for Epsom Bunker. But both my primaries are over 330fps (G36C is 350fps, Dragunov is in excess of 450fps plus not suited for CQB), so I may have to go pistol-only. It'd be cool to skirmish with some of you guys.
  14. I whipped up something for you. It's pretty simple, but I can mess around with the colours if you'd like. Inverted version: Edit: Had to fix a bit of wonky text. It should be less noticeable now.
  15. Best modern-era fictional soldier? I'll go with Soap MacTavish. I dislike Call of Duty, but the Modern Warfare storylines were damn good.

think it was a short movie with a little bit of gameplay in between - if you wasn't going online with BF4 you had very little gameplay hours to look forward to

  17. Redwolf Airsoft got a sneak peek the Ares Honey Badger. Looks nice. Don't know when it'll be officially released, all I've seen is this image so far. Nothing comes up on Google yet about this one in particular either so it definately is a sneak peek. UPDATE Redwolf have started pre-orders at £148. The Ares Ameobas are getting a pretty good reputation. Certainly better than of old. Probably best to use the thing and replace stuf IF it breaks.

  19. G&G FN F2000. I'm curious. Would it be worth it if I were to go for it?

Really? Never heard of one with a fogged scope, mine was fine. Didn't stop me from disliking it and buying the regular top rail, but still. :P

    3. Caliber

      Caliber

Regular if I decide to go for it. The iron sights look nice enough.

    4. TacMaster

      TacMaster

If I had one I'd simply HAVE to have the dedicated scope....in my mind an F2000 without it just doesn't seem right. But I guess unless G&G clear up their act with the scope it isn't very practical to have it

  20. I don't own it, but it looks like a beautiful game. I love RTS games but I've never played one involving modern combat (It's either swords and bows with Total War, or plasma and robots with Halo Wars and Supreme Commander). Once I come across some money I'll look into getting it. We can have some fun doing 2v4 matches with AIs (Supreme Commander 2 flashbacks, there), assuming you can skirmish like that.
  21. Looks interesting to me. It's got potential, with a bit of work it'd be beautiful.
  22. Have any airsoft manufacturers made a decent SKS Carbine yet? And, at a longer shot, one that's under £300?

    2. TacMaster

      TacMaster

In other words, nuthin'. It's a niche rifle; I'd love one to do a post apocalyptic loadout but there just isn't any serious demand compared to M4s and AKs

  23. Gonna order some film kit for my phone tomorrow. £26 total for the kit (Mini-Tripod, 10000mAh external battery and a fisheye/wide angle lens). Looks like I won't need a proper camera for another while seeing as the iPhone 5 camera is pretty decent (Not so much for sound recording, but picture and film quality is damn good). All I'll need is a BB-proof protective case for the phone itself, which would probably be more expensive than the rest of the kit.

    3. Caliber

      Caliber

Not like a GoPro yet. Maybe at one point if I opt out of getting a Contour. For now it'll be used for parkour videos and firing test videos.

    4. Lord_Metile

      Lord_Metile

Sj4000 m8. Contour is good though.

  24. I remember playing with a butterfly knife in Malta last year, and I can kind of see why they're illegal. They're more practical than you'd think, didn't take me long to get the hang of opening it and having it comfortable from straight out of my pocket (Literally a split-second unsheathing). I read up on the legality of them, and apparently they're illegal mostly because of their intimidation factor (a load of bollocks if you ask me, that's like outlawing martial arts because showing it off could be intimidating). As for on-topic, I've heard good things about Buck knives. I have a Buck locker myself and it's pretty good, comfortable in my hand, good blade, and has a little clip on it so I can carry it whenever lock knives are legal to carry. I'm guessing they do folders, but I'm not too sure. You could probably DIY a locker into being a folder though (Never tried nor read about that kind of DIY, so I'm not sure if it's even possible).
