  1. Perfect for those post-apocalyptic loadouts, huh. Could probably DIY one using Warrior L96 innards and barrel, cut up some PVC for the rib-like structure on the outer barrel, whip out the plastic polymer moulding for the rest of the body, laser engrave some of the crap on the side of the body, mutate a rifle scope with parts from a POSP scope, pretty much sorted (If you have enough spare cash in your pocket, anyway). And, while I'm at it... Always wanted to do an ODST loadout. Complete with dropping into the skirmish from orbit.
  2. Time to practice the 'ol pistol aim I think.

  5. I started with a budget mercenary looking thing (Camo trousers, boots, tank top, tac-vest and any old hat), and slowly molded it into an assassin looking thing. So, at the moment, I'm like a modern ninja with camo for most matches. If I'm doing heavy urban where most camo won't matter, I'd go for more of a pure assassin thing similar to the terrorists on Counter-Strike Global Offensive on the cs_office map. Probably swap out the backpack for a tactical vest, jeans for casual camo (Probably my desert camo trousers, since they're more of a perfect fit, better for whizzing around), and boots for parkour shoes (Can't be a slow assassin lugging around wearing 20+oz boots, now). Luckily all my guns look good with the outfits I have, so I don't look like a tit with an out-of-place rifle or anything (E.g. Classic terrorist outfit with a SOPMOD). So really, I mostly lean towards comfort, but not totally. I'm kinda lucky that camo trousers are comfy or I'd be wearing trackies out.
  6. Pre-game motivation, I usually end up with the intro to this song in my head. Especially if I have melee in mind. During a match, once things get busy, this one darts around my head. This song suits aggressive CQB play. Also this one during games. www.youtube.com/watch?v=XHUsIU161w4 To and from the respawn zone, I don't really know. I'm used to 1v1s, so I don't see respawning often.
  7. Any good cheap bolt action springers out there good for plinking and target shooting?

even for plinking, springers are a huge waste of time and money, my AEG could out range one and probably be more accurate too!

  8. Good win, Colombia. Proud.

  9. Best pistol I've used is my own SRC Tokarev TT-33. Comparing to my friends Glock 17 (Don't know the manufacturer), the main differences I noticed were feel and weight. To me, the Glock seemed bulky in comparison and although the grip is more ergonomic (TT-33 having just a straight shaft akin to 1911s), the Tokarev just slots more nicely into my hands. And the Tokarev is noticably slimmer, and although it makes the iron sights a bit more crammed together, it feels alot nicer in my hand. Now, I'm not sure what fps the Glock was firing at, but the Tokarev out of the box fires at around 280fps, I'd say perfect for most CQB encounters. Not suitable as a main backup weapon, but still bloody good in the right scenarios. Now, the drawbacks. The main drawback is the mag lips. They are made of rubbish plastic and if you force the mag into the gun, they WILL break. And if you pull the BB feed down and let it ping all the way up, it'll also break the mag. So be careful when loading rounds and when you insert the magazine, be sure to hold down the mag release button and give the mag a little tap to make sure it's in right. I've heard there's upgraded mag lips availible from Airsoft World, but I haven't had a look at them/used them so I cannot say anything about them. The main drawback is that it's a limited edition piece. 600 worldwide. So you may not be able to find one. But if you do, I reccommend picking one up. They went for £110 on Airsoft World when they were in stock, but you might be able to pick up a bargain from somewhere.
  10. Extended barrel for the G39C has a thread 1mm too thick for the silencer...pisstake.

Have you tried both cw and ccw silencers? You can get silencer adapters for 15-14mm.

Yep, had it on my old laptop which couldn't run it too well (20fps max). I played as Sparta and managed to carve my way to Rome before my laptop broke. I've been meaning to reinstall Rome II, but Counter Strike: Global Offensive has been getting in the way of everything.

Gonna order parts to my PC soon. I have a sh*tty laptop and can only play the turn based parts on it. Can't wait to play Rome II online and ARMA II and Rising Storm. ANd the steam sale starts next Thursday aswell supposedly ^_^

  12. Forza Horizon 2 isn't Xbox One exclusive and is coming to 360 aswell. Awesome.

Forza used to be good but has slowly gone downhill imo , FH2 needs to be good but being on both platforms suggests it will be held back by last gen specs

I see where you're coming from. The only big differences between the main titles are vehicle rosters and graphics updates. I was a little dissapointed with the first Horizon due to lack of fine tuning, so I'm hoping they'll bring it to Horizon 2.

  13. I saw a couple older threads for this, but they're from '10/'11 and I didn't want to necropost. What other hobbies do you guys have? Anything that can merge with Airsoft? For me, my main other hobby is parkour, and it merges well with Airsoft when I'm doing the whole assassin thing with a pistol. It's kind of a shame that there isn't any construction site skirmish sites, because parkour can potentially have a high tactical advantage against usual maneuvers (Great for ambushes from above, even moreso with a partner and attacking from multiple angles).
  14. Crossbows can come fairly cheap aswell. A crossbow with 140lb draw weight goes for around £120 IIRC, and bolts are reasonably priced last I checked. Not too hard to shoot a crossbow either, best bet for people who haven't practiced archery before, maybe even best bet for people that have due to convenience (smaller ammo, easier to to fire, less arm fatigue).
  15. I've got no beef with shouting out like that, at least it's helpful (Unless he's not even East). Didn't Redwolf post a video at one point about the 'best' way to stand with your weapon?
  16. Epsom isn't too far from me. How much do they charge there? Seems worth a try.
  17. Airsoftworld's got a sale on for Contour HDs. Out of stock though, so I'm not sure if the sale will carry over to pre-orders. Considering getting one. Link: http://www.airsoftworld.net/tactical-equipment/x-treme-video/contour-roam-wide-extreme-sports-video-camera.html
  18. All you need is a gas mask and you've got yourself a master level apocalypse loadout.
  19. Finally got to ordering a suppressor for my G36C. Awesome.

  20. They tap eachother. At least, that's what I've seen on videos and stuff. Charging someone with a knife is more fun than yelling "Surrender!", anyway, even if it's just to tap them on the shoulder with it. If I can't use that Bokken, than my assassin loadout will never be complete. But I guess it's still worth talking to site owners about it and showing them the thing so they can see what it's like. Let's hope at least one place will permit it. If not, then that rubber duck idea sounds fun.
  21. I was just wondering, do any of you guys use melee weapons at skirmishes? If so what do you use, and do you get any use out if it? Also, would it be acceptable to use a training sword such as this one in a loadout, or would that just be down to site rules?
  22. I think airsoft guns would come more into play with the post-apocalypse looters. They aren't going to know your RIF is a RIF, for all they know they have a fully loaded M4 pointing at them. I'd only use my airsoft guns as clubs if my swords, knives and tools break, it'd be fun to use my L96 as a battle hammer. Unless we're talking Flood from Halo (They fit the description of a Zombie), then I'll dig myself a nice little hole and pray to the old gods and the new that I'm not the next on their list of shit they want to infect. Come to think of it, my Dragunov SVD can push 500fps with it's upgraded spring (I remember it could shatter 0.25g bio BBs within the barrel sometimes). Further upgrades and a bit of cleaning out, with the addition of 6mm metal BBs, I reckon it could hit over 450fps with the metals.
  23. If I can get some spare money together after I get my suppressor, how much would you sell the scope alone on the G36C? And would you be able to post it since I'm on the complete other side of Britain? Also, how does the scope look when you aim? Any zoom? What are the crosshairs like?
  24. I was waiting for Node to do that for a while, I could see it happening when they started getting into TTT again. I'd like to see an infection gamemode similar to the Halo games. Bunch of survivors with only a couple of alpha zombies on the other team with infinite respawns and melee weapons only (Give them rubber training swords or something), then they run around and try to infect the survivors. When the survivors are hit by a zombie, they go to respawn, swap out their gun for a melee weapon, then they are also a zombie. It'd be brilliant.
  25. Couple guns I've made (One from the thread I made because I wasn't aware of this thread). Mk. 23 Assault Rifle conversion (Desperately want an airsoft version). Sci-fi DMR I called the MR6 Valiant.
