I've wondered about this as well. I would guess since Aliexpress is the payment provider everything goes through them but who's to say they actually pay the UK government the correct fees. There's no way they can check, when you look at an Aliexpress label there's no indication of any tax paid. So Aliexpress make a little extra from the 20%, UK government make a little extra from whatever payments are made and can reduce checks on goods coming in (extra saving). The only saving grace here is if you use a Chinese or HK website who don't charge UK VAT their side, their might be less checks so less chance of import tax and duty.

Hi Alex, as you're mostly playing CQB then perhaps 22TPA motor is the easiest upgrade, good on battery efficiency and low on heat for the semi-shots , for extra snappy'ness you could run a 11.1v but you might then need to upgrade the gears and piston. Can add a Mosfet if you wish but it's not 100% necessary.

Double Eagle M904g – Aka the Original Q Honey Badger
ak2m4 replied to mightyjebus's topic in AEG/GBBR Reviews
The best I've come across is Super Lube Silicone, stuff is fantastic and long lasting, really weird properties as well, not sure what they put in it. I also use Sealeys, it does the job but doesn't last as long. -
Taiwangun Shipping Disruption (Brexit Related Content)
ak2m4 replied to Speedbird_666's topic in General Discussion
DHL though, that's gonna sting for sure. I asked one broker last week to quote me 60kg (non rifs) from HK and got back £1350.000 lol...Hopefully they have negotiated a decent rate, however DHL are firmly in the won't ship replica camp so not sure what they can do about that. -
@colinjallen shipping cost clearly gone through the roof, £51 sounded high but I just checked my DSV / UPS account and for a 4kg package pickup from Wroclaw Poland to UK came out to £70. However do the reverse, UK to Poland via Parcel2Go and UPS standard is £27 (£50 insurance).

ideally you'll need to open up the gearbox to check the components, do a full inspection etc. if you're not ready to open it up then you can check the hop rubber (bucking).

22.22222222222222% ain't bad indeed if that includes UK VAT, duty and handling charge as I believe Polish VAT is 23%

Slipping gears... Should I buy a new Gearbox or a new gun entirely?
ak2m4 replied to Vote4wes's topic in Electric Guns
if you're flush with cash then sure treat yourself to something new, but in general there's isn't a gearbox issue which can't be fixed with new parts and time etc. Your problem could be a number of things, slipping gears? ARL perhaps. Best thing you can do is make a little video of it firing and another one with a look inside at all the bits -
as skara said it's got the molded nub on the arm now so not hugely beneficial for flat contact-patch buckings. last few days I've been testing my new nubs and bucking with lots of different combinations of gearbox shells, chambers, nozzles - it really is a nightmare of a minefield. If you do a lot of builds then it's really worth keeping a few different brands to hand.

Anyone ever seen a hop rubber without the hop patch?
ak2m4 replied to Rogerborg's topic in General Help
@Rogerborg I was going to say that the ZCI 70 is pretty well molded using silicon, the one in the picture looks more like it's made from more of a epdm rubber -

ak2m4 replied to Rogerborg's topic in General Help
that is super strange, never seen that before. I just checked a few of the ones I still have here and they all have the nub and ridge in place. It's possible that you do have a molded mutant on your hands there -
show us your piston, don't be shy

Double Eagle M904g – Aka the Original Q Honey Badger
ak2m4 replied to mightyjebus's topic in AEG/GBBR Reviews
From my own personal experience I don't get too hung up on bore sizing, especially with lower price cheaper barrels. If you took a bore measuring tool you'd probably find it was nowhere near the specified size lol.... As for maintenance I'd take out and clean after every game (that's just me though). -

Definitely the best priced / performance inner barrel out there. Super dirty inside though -

I'm hoping ZCI deliver 1st week in November, just waiting to hear back from them. What size is the inner barrel you're after? -

Think you've got your springs mixed up buddy, never said that about the Guarder springs. Gearparts springs is where I've done the 200,000 cycle test. Guarder don't even bother to oil their springs from the factory the cheap-skates 🙂 -
Interesting results, always good to keep a few orings of different sizes around since the inner diameter of cylinders varies as much from 23.6mm to 24mm.

Resin is nice from what I've seen, heard it is a lot more brittle though?

Potentially lots of Specna Arms RIFs stolen from truck at South mimms services
ak2m4 replied to L3wisD's topic in Latest News
doesn't say all 2000 were stolen, a pallet is roughly 1 cubic metre? can fit around 40 AEG's so 9 of them would be around 360.... -
you mean valid defense...

I imagine the amp draw with 13:1 and the ASG 40K is super high, if you have a meter, stick it on and see what numbers you're getting

Advice on viable all alloy M4/At platform as parts donor
ak2m4 replied to Orange peel neil's topic in Custom Guns
@Orange peel neil external parts like receivers are costly getting into the UK in large numbers at the moment, your best bet is to try one of the HK stores -
@Adolf Hamster this first, also if it's a new spring run it for 1000 cycles plus 24 hours compressed. Plus also find out how your regular sites allow you to chrono, hop set or off etc
