Love the sniper concept, but there's a reason my loadout is US cavalry:
Frontal assault on full auto, hitting only a few of my own side as I charge through the undergrowth before going down in a blaze of glory.
:-)
Evening all.
I posted yesterday that I had taken a punt on a job lot of Vietnam kit, and one of the bits was a replica LAW. A friend has asked if I'll sell it and as it doesn't really fit my loadout, I'm going to do so.
The question is, how much? I can't find ANY for sale online, so any suggestions would be appreciated!
1 x TM M16 VN
5 x magazines
1 x 1st pattern tropical uniform
1 x M1 helmet with liner and Mitchell cover
1 x M56 webbing (belt, ammo pouches, canteens, butt pack)
1 x Tropical Rucksack
1 x M1952 Flak Jacket
1 x replica LAW
£notalot
Yay me!
DEagles are incredible in their awesomeness, but people may think you're compensating for something.
Having said that, I REALLY want one, even though it bears no relation to any loadout I have. May have to start something Lara Croft-ish...
I don't know why, but I have this strange urge to go out and buy the full snow camo gear and just arrive in it at some point in the middle of July. I just hate the idea of following the crowd and wearing the same and looking the same as everybody else.
Now you see why the military was never going to work out for me.
VN loadout means the 1911 in a leather flap holster on the right hip. Otherwise it's the Beretta in a Fobus holster on the right hip, and the 1911 in another Fobus in the small of my back.
I quite like Fobus, in case you hadn't realised...
Not so much bought as given. Arrived at the site yesterday do discover my buddies have bought me an early birthday present: the last pieces required for my Lt. Col. Kilgore impression...
I run a G&P M16A1 and really rate it. If you want an early model (VN or A1), you'll have to hunt around a bit as there's not a lot of stock.
Is there a particular reason you want an M4 or M16?
Hurrah! Another psychologist here (behavioural rather than clinical) but nice to see I'm not the only one who enjoys running around the woods toting an automatic weapon...
Being an old fart has its benefits.
I have a choice of 4 cars when I want to go airsofting, but always seem to gravitate toward my old Jeep for some reason :-)
Full-on VN tropical kit, with full webbing, M1 helmet and all the magazines you can carry. Finish the day with authentic sweat stains! It's all about the look... ;-)
Can highly recommend the Fobus kit. I have one for my 1911 one for my M9 and they're both as secure as a very secure thing. VERY tight when they're new, so just the excuse you need to wear it around the house in order to break it in. A little spray of silicone helps too.
