Wandering around an auction house in Northumberland today I came across an M4 (think it was an ICS) complete with batteries, magazine and bottle of STEEL bbs. Wonder if the buyer will be asked for their UKARA number?

Dunno. Not sure it would feel right airsofting in a place where people had fought and died for real...

Having been shot in the tongue (yes, in the tongue) on my very first day, I do tend to wear a lower face mask. To be honest though, the main reason is that I don't want to go back to work the following day looking like a spotty teenager!

Have a look at http://s6.zetaboards.com/vietnamairsoft/index/ . Not terribly active, but will give an idea of what's going on in the Vietnam Milsim world. Have to say, it's good to turn up in a sea of multicam with a loadout thats just that bit different, and makes you stand out in the safe zone. Had a scenario last time I was out where there were people taking pictures of me in my 1st Air Cav gear with a guy wearing 101st Airborne kit. For me, I watched loads of Vietnam movies when I was a kid, and really like the idea of re-enacting it. If you,decide its not for you, have a look on eBay - original Vietnam kit makes pretty good money. Alternatively I'll give you a fiver for the lot😉

It was the Cyma 048m and cost £139 and looking at UK suppliers on t'interwebs I figure I saved £60 -£80. As I had other stuff with it I didn't pay any postage which would normally cost £15. Spring downgrade didn't cost anything, and they kindly put the original spring in the box! Edited to add: it's Friday night and I'm just back from the pub. Dear God, somebody stop me from going back onto the Taiwangun website...

The AK I just bought from Taiwangun was advertised at 420fps so I asked for it to be downgraded. It arrived yesterday with a chrono test showing 330-ish and a the original spring in the box.

Done! The CYMA arrived today, and damn but it looks and feels good. Can't wait to get out and skirmish now...
