Could get some pink helmet covers made to match the berets?
-
Average is 25 so far. We got anyone with a bus pass?
-
If you can't be arsed with shaping, Soldier of fortune do WW2 style ones that have bigger crowns and are worn unshaped. http://www.sofmilitary.co.uk/ww2-khaki-beret-product,11243
-
Black isn't generic, its Royal Armoured Corps. Khaki was the ww2 fallback for any unit (officers only) so I doubt it has any significance now. You could always go for a fake wolf fur trappers hat (Russian style).

If looks matter, its worth looking at Taiwangun.com or Gunfire.pl they both stock lots of different variations of the G36 including several SL8 snipers. Most of these are made by JG so are a good enough starting point if you want to upgrade them at some point. Being in Poland they are fairly cheap so you could get something to build your support weapon without blowing your whole budget. Then you could carry on saving for a future TM recoil shock purchase when your G36C packs up.

A quick search found me 2 options for a Blowback G36. Ares (50/50 chance it will be fine) and Umarex (hmmm). You hear good things about SRC G36's http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/product_info.php?cPath=268_318_453&products_id=7035 If you must have blowback I would only trust the TM http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/product_info.php?cPath=268_318_399&products_id=5367 The problem being that TM don't do the longer version with the bipod etc.

Then all you need is the Tusken loadout

If you do a lot of CQB then a pistol isn't just a 'cool accessory' and one that is virtually silent is the best option. For 90% of players this is not the case. If you fall into the 10% who need a pistol that is effective and quiet then MK23 Socom. For everyone else the best pistol is whatever you think looks cool. If you fall into the 90% who don't need a MK23 Socom, then in fact you don't need a pistol at all and could put the money into Mags, gear or a better AEG or maybe a 2nd AEG?
-
Unless you do a lot of CQB, there is not much need for a pistol. Pistols are generally just a cool accessory. If you do a lot of CQB then you want a MK23 Socom. The TM one if you can afford it, the ASG or HFC one if you're on a budget. These are non blowback pistols that are very quiet (especially the TM) and pretty accurate. If you just want a pistol because pistols are cool, find one you like the look of and then ask who makes the best version of it.

This is how I misread the post The rack looks good. I would hate to see a room that it would suit though. Doesn't look like a very practical way of storing a gun though, to fiddly to take it out etc. I may have to do a gun rack if I ever get the Lee Enfield of my dreams, probably just some hooks in the wall though or shelves with some sort of stand on. Good job building it though. And Cropzy, WTF!!! Make your signiture smaller.

Grey Ghost Gear Bandolier / Bandolier for airsoft?
Russe11 replied to Airsoft_Mr B's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
£44 for a bandolier? The one I want costs more than that £60 for one of these, and then I would need the belt.... For a Molle bandolier, can't you use either a molle belt or chest rig with the shoulder straps removed and extend the webbing somehow? -
Well the leather laces do make them creak rather a lot as you walk
-
The boots and laces arrived. Not as yellow as the picture made them look. Once you put the leather laces in them, the boots look spot on.

Yes and it was so good the British used it in Malasia. You could strip it, chuck the bits in a bucket of mud and reassemble it and it would shoot. From Wikipedia: Official trials were organised, and the John Lysaght factory made three versions in 9 mm, .38-200 and .45 ACP.Sten and Thompson submachine guns were used as benchmarks. As part of the testing, all of the guns were immersed in mud and covered with sand to simulate the harshest environments in which they would be used. The Owen was the only gun that still operated after the treatment. The Owen was later used by Australian troops in the Korean and Vietnam Wars,[4] particularly the scouts in infantry sections. It remained a standard weapon of the Australian Army until the mid-1960s, when it was replaced by the F1 submachine gun. The gun was also used in Malaya by British troops, and was among their favourites for jungle fighting.
-
Owen SMG Perhaps not the best looking gun ever made, but reputedly one of the best jungle fighting weapons of WW2.

It's all The Mighty Jingles fault for me. He does World of tanks and War Thunder videos mainly. He does the occasional video about airsoft and I ran out of War thunder videos one day...

Standard rules at WW2 games are it doesn't really matter as long as its a ww2 weapon. Japanese is actually fairly cheap to do a rough impression. A helmet cover over a British Mk3 helmet creates a Japanese helmet. Beige shirt and baggy trousers with a length of fabric instead of a belt, long puttees and a couple of shoulder bags. People will do it if there's a game, especially if you plan to do a game every year. The hard part is persuading people to play Japanese rather than US Marines. The key is to give the Japanese the ability to fuck with peoples heads to make it fun. Combat south runs a Vietnam game every year, people have Vietnam loadouts just for that so why not a WW2 Pacific game? Then I get an excuse to do the Aussie Jungle loadout Aussie khaki drill shirt, dyed green US Herringbone twill trousers US lace up gaiters Slouch hat P37 webbing The Aussies were working with the yanks not the British so started using some American gear. What they ended up with was a hybrid taking the best of each. If only there was an airsoft Owen SMG....

Have been busy on the ww2airsoft forums trying to persuade people that a pacific theatre game would work. No-one does Japanese so it needs something to add an element of fun to it. I came up with a few ideas: Trapdoors- Square boards hidden throughout the zone at which Japanese can spawn unless they are found and a satchel charge is placed on them. This should allow small groups of Japanese to appear from locations they are not expected. Fanaticism- To make the Japanese side mirror some of the fanaticism of the real events Japanese officers are able to change the medic rules in one of several ways. Self medicing allowed would mean that the Japanese are better able to fight to the last man. Extra 10 seconds of life would make a Banzai charge a lot harder to stop before bayonet range is reached etc. Put this all together in a woodland game with plenty of cover and you would have a game where the Allies will not have a clue what's going on.
-
Yes they will rent you a gun, you just won't be able to buy grenades.
-
Best bet is go to a few games and hire guns. This will give you a chance to see what sort of gun would suit you. It takes 2 months and 3 games to get UKARA sorted so by then you will be 18.

The 'What have you just bought' Thread
Russe11 replied to Cameron364's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
Resin helmet £7.95 Boots £24 and leather laces for them £4 And a pipe to replace the one I broke at the WW2 game -
and doesn't seem to be available in light brown A polish with a dark brown polish should darken the boots to more of a pale brown than yellow, if not they're good enough.

My hat and Jacket have been dispatched, delayed by the fact that Paypal are dicks and won't allow me to use my card so I have to use the direct debit method. After a lot of searching I have found a possible contender for easier to source Aussie boots: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121138205596?var=420153311515&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 They are a bit pale but at this price they will do. If I use darker polish they will darken up a bit. Then I can just add leather laces. My 1st WW2 game was epic. I was surprised to learn that the weapon that Jerry fears the most is the Sten. Apparently it outperforms anything they have in terms of range, accuracy and rate of fire. I do want a rifle though so may take a gamble on an Ironairsoft/Matrix SMLE.

Strobe ones are quite effective for indoors. Never bought a rail mounted torch though so can't say what to get.
