  1. That wasn't me. I think he was carrying the Sten bandolier because he had a Sten. The Bren was so heavy that in every picture of it from that game, someone new is carrying it. Hmm a lightweight Polymer Bren, now thats an idea! Btw as you have a british airbourne loadout, have you checked out ww2airsoft.org.uk? Some great games are listed on the forums there.
  2. Don't worry about the fps. Most sites have a 350 limit so you don't want to go over that. If you ever want to go to a CQB game then a 328 fps limit is likely. 320-330 is a good fps to have for a gun.
  3. Now we're talking. But having seen how knackered someone gets carrying a Bren around for a day... Luckily he has a Sten bandolier, and they can hold a lot of mars bars for energy Next to the Flak38, the Bren does not look much smaller. You would need a hefty blowback to have much effect on a gun that heavy.
  4. Where Landwarrior really excel is the deals they run from time to time. The £100 Stens were a prime example, they were that price for 3 months selling out and restocking several times. Some of the ICS guns they have atm are stupidly good prices. In my experience, you get the gun in your hands the day after you order, thats why the shipping costs more. They will also price match anyone else. Landwarrior, Zero one, patrolbase... They all have good reputation. I would go with whichever has the gun you want at the best price.
  5. Yup, there does seem to be a contradiction there. I'm sure it was easier to find the 2 tone service and it was cheaper before they revamped the web site. But they sold me my Sten for £100 so can do no wrong in my book

  7. They do, but they charge for it. Unfortunately it's now £25

Amazing deals on them.
  11. So the Hockwerk game I was so looking forward to got cancelled I have now signed up for a rifles only game in Sept. I really have to get my arse in gear and get that rifle by then now Best bit though is that it's set early war and the list of possible nations said British and commonwealth, so I signed up as the only Aussie (I get to wear a big silly hat yay!)
  12. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/331090979864?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 Gas mask bag early WW2 version.
  13. yup the licence is just to prevent people using the same frequencies. Talk to the site, they may be covered for you using a radio on the same frequency.
  14. Consider also whether you might lose them. Can you attach something to help you find it? I found out recently that even a bright red ohshiboom can roll into bushes never to be seen again
  15. Where do I get a job like that? Must be hell to have to study every picture of Swedish girls uploaded to the internet
  16. When you explain airsofting to blokes, there's 2 possible responses: 'Sounds cool but I can't spare the time/money' 'Sounds cool, I will find the time/money, must have toys to play with!' When you explain airsofting to girls, there's 2 possible responses: 'Doesn't it hurt? Are you mad?' 'I get to shoot people and cause them pain? I wanna do it!!!!' For men it's all about cool toys, for women it's about having a way to go full psycho without these guys being introduced to their new hot tub:
  17. What is the question? The results become more interesting if you're asking which we prefer.
  18. Hmm do you think people on this forum would really be interested in pictures of guns? If in doubt, ALWAYS post pictures of guns. If you can't find pictures of guns to post, kittens or puppies will do. <---posting this is not pointless and silly, I have taken care to ensure that it illustrates the point I am making with my post
  19. Blowback means different things to different manufacturers. Some are connected to the gearbox and that's bad because when if fails it can destroy your gearbox. G&G just use some of the air from the piston to open and close the bit that the spent shells would eject from (the name of which my brain will not allow me to remember at the moment). If it stops working it will have no effect on performance at all, its just a neat bit of added realism. It should not be an issue when doing upgrades etc. EJECTION PORT!!! -see I'm not a dumbass who doesn't know what gun parts are called, I'm just half asleep
  20. Windows Movie maker does everything you need. The problem with having lots of effects is you might be tempted to use them. Too many effects can ruin a film.
  21. The requirement for importing is that you have to be able to prove it is intended to be used for airsoft. If you mail it then the easiest way to do this is to put a UKARA number on the package. It is very difficult to prove intended use by any other means than UKARA for a mailed package. If you are coming to the UK with the guns it is probably easier, have some photo's of you playing airsoft in your country of origin and copies of some emails confirming bookings at upcoming airsoft games with you.
  22. You can get rifled inner barrels. Supposedly makes the gun more accurate but only works for lower powered guns.
  23. Evike are the only place I can find that sells this: I don't think I will get it 2 toned if I ever get the money together
  24. 3 weeks wait for my Aussie gear and the one day I have to work a day shift I get a card in my letterbox :(
