  1. Just to answer whether the receiver design has been changed, this is a replacement receiver set for the GC16 https://www.airsoftzone.co.uk/metal-receiver-set-for-gc16-series-black-gg.html Note the little black stub at the back of the receiver.
  2. The sling loop would normally be held in place by the two "rails" either side of the buffer tube mount (which usually forms part of the rear of the receiver). To achieve that with your gun you'd need to get rid of that massive threaded part from the buffer tube mount.
  3. Good lord, that shit pisses me off!
  4. Ask and so shall ye receive... https://boomarms.com/collections/marui-m1911-series/products/guarder-stainless-trigger-for-marui-m1911a1-black https://boomarms.com/collections/marui-m1911-series/products/nova-night-hawk-style-trigger-for-tokyo-marui-airsoft-m1911-gbb-pistol-series
  5. £180 in the UK is a pretty decent price. With stock levels the way they seem to be right now, I'd buy it while you can.
  6. Must. Have. Gustav.
  7. All the Hi-capa triggers I've ever seen say they are also compatible with TM 1911s so I see no reason why a solid 1911 style trigger would have issues on a hi-capa. https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/lct-cnc-trigger-for-tm-pistols-fm-38sv this one specifically lists as being for "Light Weight CNC Trigger Marui. M1911A1, Hi-Capa, Detonics.45, MEU,"

  9. I'd put money on it. The blurb from the DCA site says: Which sounds like "we can't sell enough of our regular stuff and people seem to like the airsoft guns. Let's slap our name on some Chinese RIFs and see what happens".
  10. https://playairsoft.uk/ Have a look on there, should give you some ideas.

  12. With respect to the whole power aspect, legally airsoft guns have to be below around 350 feet per second (ish) if they can fire in auto. Any gun you buy online or in store will have to comply with this, BUT if you feel that this is too powerful for your 14 year old then you will need to ask to have it downgraded before you take delivery. Thing is that airsoft inherently comes with an amount of risk and indeed pain if you get shot. If you're looking for something more akin to the £40 Cyma he had before then you'll potentially be out of luck. That said, there's no recoil and he can always get protection/padding if it's a problem.
  13. Depends...how big is your cat?
  14. He's not trying to arm his cat though...
  15. Dammit! Now I HAVE to have one! Although what if I need to put 25kg of gear on it?
  16. I can see the board, liked it so signed up from your link!
  17. Ah! Of course! The infamous +2 hook of holding! Or you could always get the new improved version of the actual Tough Hook (original and best or at least well marketed) https://www.prestigetactical.co.uk/shop/product/tough-hanger-x/ THAT holds up to 150lbs of gear!
  18. Yeah, that's taking the piss. The WAS ones are only £15 from UK Tactical!
  19. They're really not all that pricey new. Holster is about £30 and the mag pouch is about £20. https://ukmcpro.co.uk/collections/imi-defense
  20. True that!
  21. If it's this one https://tactree.co.uk/511-range-ready-bag?utm_source=google_shopping&gclid=CjwKCAiA7IGcBhA8EiwAFfUDsW4lFf11B8tuHeN0zD1h_17rraW6Eub6N-ABd4xk1-4D9mYCNeQzsxoChRMQAvD_BwE then it's pretty much identical to the FT one I have! They're great! In fact - this is the one I have https://www.military1st.co.uk/180000-060-first-tactical-recoil-range-bag-coyote.html
  22. I used to have a very similar Protec bag, had a little boot caddy in one end if I remember rightly. The problem with ANY holdall though is a lack of organisation, if there's one big carrying space shit just disappears! I now have a First Tactical range bag which is smaller so I don't end up carrying as much shit I don't actually need and it has loads of organisers to keep things where I put them.

  24. 5.11 CAMS. If you can't fit it in one of those you need to cut down on the amount of shit you carry. https://www.uktactical.com/product/511-cams-30-bag-ranger-green-16926
